  • Many of my RA March Video Coupons expire today, I know the 5 Gum and Hershey’s candy do so might not work for next week

  • Slow week

  • hmm my ups are expiring will figure somthing out.

  • just a suggestion, if your up’s are expiring, buy more newspapers w/coupons

    • UPR’s exclude newspaper purchases. I actually have tried this and the cashier told me they are not good on newspapers, I didn’t believe her and she cold over the manager and she said no but go ahead and try scanning it, if it goes thru let her use it. When she scanned it it beeped :( I wasn’t able to do it. When she gave it back to me I looked and it did have it written on the bottom. FYI – CVS does let you and I have done it there, that’s where I got the idea for Rite Aid, sad that it didn’t work

      • I buy my newspapers every week at Rite Aid with UPR. I have never had a problem doing so, as the fine print on the UPR contains no language prohibiting their use to purchase newspapers. It never beeps or anything, it just goes right through. I would call Rite Aid’s corporate office if your Rite Aid continues to do this. It’s fine if Rite Aid’s policy is to not allow UPR to be used to purchase newspapers, but if that is the case, the UPR need to explicitly state that.

  • Does anyone know if an UP reward can be used towards the purchase of milk? I tired to buy a gallon of milk today with a $3.00 UP and the register beeped and the manager told me milk was an excluded item. HUH?
It states nowhere in the exclusions on the Rite Aid website that dairy products are excluded. Has anyone bought milk with an UP before? TIA!

    • I have

    • Laura,

My husband tried to used his up rewards for milk and was denied, I know it doesn’t state that dairy is excluded, but he wouldn’t challenge it, I’m lucky i can get him to use coupons at all, LOL.

CVS has no restrictions on milk.

      • Hahaha! Thanks Linda, you’re lucky your husband will go to the store. Many of the coupons beep at Rite Aid and I do know this particular manager does not know the coupon policy. I usually buy milk at CVS using my ECB’s without any problems. I was shocked when I couldn’t do the same at Rite Aid. I may try it again on another day.

        • Rite Aid is getting increasingly harder to use coupons. It seems the register beeps at everything. Sometimes they put it through but it seems like a hassle and they read all the fine print. CVS is definitely friendlier.

          • my rite aid won’t let me use the UPS on milk either. But they are not coupon friendly. I get a lecture everytime I go about them losing money on the coupons that beep.

    • As a former RiteAid employee I was told by my ex-manager that we couldn’t accept any form of coupons Manufacturers or UPRs on anything that had a state regulated price. Example: Eggs, Milks, Cigarettes. Personally I thought it was stupid rule except for the cigarettes.

  • The nivea deal above didn’t generate a $5 up fyi

    • I called customer service – they refused to send a $5 up because I got the weekly ups…….said the $10 I spent for the first two body wash did not count for the monthly up.

      • Rebecca Hanesworth |

I went to rite aid in northern ca today and bought 2 body washes and one lotion and it generated 2- 1.50 ups plus a $5.00 plus up – also the deal with the aveeno and neutrogena somewhat worked out similiar – monthly and weekly I bought Neutrogena naturals cleanser and moisturizer and an aveeno foaming face cleanser and positively radiant cleansing pads – the total before coupons came to 30.56 – I got the $10 ups but did not get the monthly us of $8 said on the receipt that I needed three more dollars in neutrogena or eco tools – so I purchased 2 bath sponges and it generated the $8 in ups – I had 9.50 in coupons so my bottom line was $8.50 for

      • Call customer service again and get a different representative. I didn’t do the Nivea deal but I did do the Ziploc deal. The weekly deal is buy $15 and get $5 UPs and the monthly deal is buy $10 and get $2 UPs. I bought 10 ziplocs (I bought for my family, my parents and my mother-in-law) in 3 separate transactions (only allowed to use 4 like coupons in a single transaction). I did receive 2 $5 UPs but my $2 UPs did NOT print. I called customer service and they said that I was entitled to BOTH deals. They are mailing me 3 $2 UPs. I didn’t even know what the limit was for the monthly deal but apparently, it’s at least 3. So I basically spent $9 for 10 boxes of ziplocs after coupons and the UPs that generated and the UPs that will be mailed to me.
