Now here is the thing, between the coupons and the instant savings, this will be a $1.04 money maker so you would need to have other items in your cart to cover the overage. However, Stop & Shop registers are a bit wacky sometimes and they have been know to add back on instead of deducting if it may take you into an overage situation.

Does Stop and shop allow 4 like IP coupons in one transaction?
Nishaa, I think they allow this, I never have a problem using 5+…but it varies per store…
I have never had a problem with it …
you shouldn’t have any issues, but every store is different
I’ve used up to 12 like coupons and never had a problem. I’m in a gas area and it’s a great way to rack up some points.

BTW .. I am easing them the pain a bit and will only be using the $0.50/1 Coupons and not the 0.75/1 IP’s … with a baby on the way I think $1.00 for 4 boxes of wipes is AWESOME and although I do have 8 computers to print from at home, (which would give me 16 total coupons) sometimes you just have to pick you battles ….
you could always just use the 3IP’s and pay $0.46 for all 4

if u have a car, i read that the fill up is well worth it. Sometimes I think it’s actually a better deal with the gas with the prices so high

yes. NJ doesn’t have gas points, so you will get instant savings.
Manchester CT is offering gas rewards too, oh well! I prefer Shop Rite for a reason!

I have been waiting for a deal like this! In my area we prob get gas points but that’s perfect cuz right now we have $2.20 off a gallon.
Gas points here also…I actually prefer it because after filling up two vehicles with a savings of 2.20 a gallon we save $77.00 if we do the deal 6 times..instant savings would only be 18.00.

If we do the gas deal… how does this work if I do it multiple times? If I do it twice is it then $.40 off a gallon… and then if I do it like 4 times is is $1.00 off a gallon?? Not sure… I have never done this…
Yep, that is the way the gas points work. If you do it 4 times then you would get $0.80 off. Doing it 5 times would get you $1.00 per gallon. You must do it in groups of 4. You can do it many times in multiples of 4 in the same transaction.
Mark- what do you mean by groups of 4? My stop and shop will allow only 4 like coupons per transaction.
You must buy at least 4 in one transaction to get the deal. My Stop and Shop doesn’t restrict me to 4 like coupons, so I’ll buy 12 at once (multiple of 4) and get 600 gas points at once. If your store only allows 4 coupons then do multiple transaction but make sure you do at least 4 in each transaction to get the gas points. HTH

I would double check your coupon policy …
They should be allowing 16 like coupons… but only doubling 4.
I would actually contact customer for that particular store. My stop and shop is VERY coupon friendly. They told me that I can have as many like coupons and they would double all as long as it does not say “Do Not Double”. They do not abide by the corporate coupon policy because they have so many people using coupons, they want to keep their customers happy. That’s why I love my Stop and Shop!
Do this as a small seperate transaction so you can quickly notice if they start adding money back on. i always have this problem. they say they cant do anything brcause you cant use qs when you have one of these deals. thats when you point out that they dont excl qs in the ad. then they say you didnt spend enough. thats when you point out that the ad says how many you have to buy and not how much you have to spend. miraculously they can suddenly fix it but just this once. what a hassle. but worth it. just stand your ground. check your rcpt and dont leave without your money.

Does youe Stop&Shop put coupons manually?? I went in the other day and saw scrubbing bubbles starter kit on sale for 6.99 with card, with $5 coupon went for the checkout and the coupon beeped, so had to return emptyhanded.

Make sure to check the bottom of the page of the flyer where it says “ALL MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET AFTER ALL DISCOUNTS AND COUPONS HAVE BEEN SUBTRACTED FROM ORDER”

Annoying gas points here in Dutchess and Orange counties, NY. Crazy to have gas points but no gas station conveniently located.

I went to Stop and Shop today to do this deal. I got 4 wipes at $1.99 each. I used 4 $0.75 coupons (doubled). The only thing is that I just looked at my receipt and I do not think that the $3 instant savings came off.
Still a good deal at $0.49 each, but FREE would have been better. I guess I need to go back and deal with cust. service. Anyone else have this problem?
Yes I had the same problem even if I had other items to cover the “expected overage”. What I did was asked the cashier to void 1 of the .75 Q and the $3 instant savings was automatically reapplied by the system.
This also happened to me.However, at first the total read $1.91 and then as I went to pay the price jumped up to $4.91! The cashier was really nice and said since it said $1.91 first she manually took off the $3.
Not sure why everyone is so down on the gas points. It is actually a better deal if you use them wisely (and have a Stop & Shop gas station nearby). I did the deal 4 times and got $0.80 off a gallon. I filled up my tank today (17.7 gallons) and the deal actually saved me $3.54 per 4 packs of wipes. In total I saved $14.16, versus the $12.00 I would have saved with the instant savings. I would have saved even more if I had my wife meet me at the gas station so we could fill her car as well.
Do they frown upon filling up 2 vehicles, or do you try and do it discreetly? Does the pump stop you at 35 gallons like it says also?

I am a new couponer and trying to get my feet wet in couponing. I tried this deal by buying 4 wipes and a filler worth of $3 to cover the overage. The shop and stop here (NJ) said they can’t allow coupons and $3 instant deal at the same time as it will go to negative amount as per nj state policy. Are they correct about the policy?
i did 2 shopping trips to my S&S to do the above deal as well as the kraft -$5 off meat deal:
3 pampers x 1.99
1 nutella x 2.99
used 3 (.75) pampers Q
the $3 did not come off and had to go to CS who gave me my $3 cash (both times). I was informed that when you use Q for any of the items (including cat), the discount won’t come off and that it is better not to use any Qs. I told the CS that this is how you get a better deal and just nod my head and agree that I will not use Q again for the same deals (duh). apparently, i did it again a few hrs. later but the good thing is that there is another personnel in the CS the second time.
the same thing happen with the kraft-$5 off meat (used vetveeta and Fresh take Qs) deal but I got my $5 refund twice also.
i was able to get 4 packs of wipes (used (3)$.75 coupons) all for $.46!! THANKS!!!!

Not all Stop & Shops have that same flyer. Just went for the deal and I got 200 gas points for buying four instead of the $3 off instantly. Still not a bad deal but I would have preferred to get my wipes for free.
I looked at my flyer from CT and I get gas points not $3 off instantly. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the $3 off?
Deal does not work at the Stop and Shop in Lyndhurst, NJ – the $3.00 savings will not be applied if you use 4 of the $0.75 off 1 coupons! Still only $0.49 per box, but I was looking forward to the overage!!!
