  • Is Stop and Shop a better deal than Shoprite?

  • i did this deal on friday at my stop and shop in seekonk ma and it did not work for shelf prices. didn’t no if it was a def thing…

    • I did this on Friday too–did not work on shelf price.

      • what store did not go off of shelf price?

        • my store tried to not give me the $5 because i didn’t pay $15 after the coupons were factored in. (and i bought $15 worth before coupons, but not based on shelf price, if that makes sense.)
i had to go to customer service and beg for them to do it.
they didn’t want to do it.
hopefully everyone has good outcome w/ this deal…

  • The 0.99 coupons say do not double, so the OOP will be higher on the first scenario.

  • Looks like it Elaine the extra $5 cat really drops the price

  • Can somebody help this newbie? Can I use the $5 and $2 cat I get and do the deal a second time or does this not “roll” Thanks for any help!

  • I am not sure I understand the best deal for those of us w/o the 0.99 coupon, wouldn’t it be better to use the 0.70 coupons instead of the $1 coupons since the former double? Or are the Naturals not the ones at that price…? But then which $1 bath tissue coupon is the second deal referencing? Thx.

  • Do you know if the cats will roll?? TIA

  • I also would like to know if shoprite ot sns which is better

  • Does any one Know if the naturals paper towels are included ? I have lots of .99 for these.

  • If the deal doesn’t go on shelf price, do I just return it and loose coupons?

  • a shelf price deal has not worked at my CT store in forever! Customer service always states it must me met by sale price and after coupons! uggg!

  • I tried the Kashi cookies deal this am and was told by customer service that the reason my $5 cat didn’t print was because I used coupons. Aparently the $15 total is suppose to be after coupon?!?!

  • I had problems doing this deal on Sunday..I will try again at another SnS. I tried twice on Sunday…N nothing printed both times. the 2nd time I had 1 tp and 2 pt with 1- .99cpn fr the tp..it brought my subtotal to 14.99 and it didn’t print the $5 cat

  • Does this math work? If the $15 has to be after coupons, which seems to be the way S&S is working:

    2- Scott’s Bath Tissue @ $6.99 ea.
    2- Scott’s Paper Towels @ $4.99 ea.
    Subtotal: $23.96

    Use:
2- $0.99/12 Scott Extra Soft Bath Tissue printables (assuming that they will double)
2- $0.99/6 Scott Paper Towel printable (assuming that they will double)

    Pay: $16.04
    Receive: $7 Cats
$2.26 ea. after coupons and cats

    • I just did the deal. It works on shelf price and before coupons. Bought the exact items in the post and got both catalinas.

      • SnS in Dumont worked on shelf price and the 99c coupons doubled as well. I went back and rolled my cat on another purchase too.

      • confirmed, i did the paper towel ( either reg. 6 roll or naturals 6 roll) and the extra soft 12 roll TP along with my .99/1 coupons for both and both cats printed fine.

  • just a fyi i went to pathmark last night and it printed out catalina info for scott stating from 04/23/ to 05/13 buy 2 different items get 2.00 3 different 3.00 and 4 different get 5.00 catalina..

    • So to get the $5 cat, you would have to buy 1 tp, 1 pt, 1 wipes, and 1 napkins in order to fulfill the “different product categories” rule? But are the napkins included as one of the product categories?

  • Check your receipts. I didn’t get a cat, my $5.00 came off instantly as personal thanks savings.

  • I printed out the 70 cent coupons…..they look strange. Also, it states do not double. The tp coupon is for “Naturals” is that included? Thanks in advance:)

  • i did this 3 times. the 2 scott cat wouldnt roll. but the 5 did. does anyone know if i can do more than 4 trans in 1 day?

  • **************************************************************** When posting can everyone write what Town/State it Worked or Didnt Work? Everyone always writes “my store” and that doesnt really help us TIA! ****************************************************************

  • I bought 1 Scott Paper Towels, 6 roll ($7.55)$4.99 and 1 Scott 12 Roll Bath Tissue ($11.69) $6.99 at Giant in Blue Bell, PA. Only the $2 Cat gets printed. So, it is not based on shelf price. (FYI for those of you in PA).

  • yes its on napkins as well paper towels toilet paper wipes and napkins =5.00

  • I just went to the stop and shop in Berkeley Heights, NJ. I bought 1 (6) pack of regular paper towels @ $4.99 and 1 (12) pack of natural toilet paper @ $6.99. I only recived a $2 cat. The shelf price was not working at this store. Can anyone please share with me the stop and shop store that worked for them in Northern NJ?

  • For those on Long Island, if the Cats didn’t print for you, did you spend $15 before or after coupons?

    • I bought 1 (6) pack of paper towels @ $4.99 and 1 (12) pack of toilet paper @ $6.99. i used a .99 cent coupon for both and received a $5 and $2 cat at Deer Park, and east islip.

  • Went to SuperG/Giant in Bear, DE. Bought 12 pk TP, 6 pk Paper Towels & 170 ct Wipes. I received the $5 cat & the $3 cat.

  • Here are the 3 transactions that did NOT produce the catalina:

  • Confirmed – Morris Plains, NJ

Buy 1 Scott Paper Towels, 6 roll ($5.99)$4.99
Buy 1 Scott 12 Roll Bath Tissue extra soft ($9.65) $6.99

Got both $5 and $2 CATS!

Was able to do it 4 times!

  • new paltz ny
got naturals paper towels and regular tp and both cats worked
I think the naturals TP is NOT working … for both cats?

    • Thank you Elaine for the Morris Plains confirmation. I will head over tonight. I think “tinap” , you might be on to something regarding the naturals TP which I purchased and is not working for both CATS. Just the naturals PT which worked for Cindy.

  • Confirmed-Clifton NJ

Buy 1 Scotts Mega Paper towel (6.59) $4.99
    Buy 1 Scotts bath tissue 12 pack ($10.69) $6.00

    Got $5.00 and $2.00 CATS

Did it 3 times! THANKS ALLISON AND CINDY! :)

  • Also wanted to let everyone now that the $.99 cents off coupons doubled at S&S in Clifton

  • Has anyone tried it yet with the Extra Soft TP and the Naturals wipes for $4.99? I’ll probably be served with divorce papers if I bring home any more paper towels!

  • Has anyone been successful yet at the Phillipsburg S&S?

  • not working in brooklyn , ny. and they would not give it to me at customer service.

  • anyone know if it’s working on shelf prices in Brick or Toms River, NJ

    • Didn’t work in point pleasant. Bought 12 pack naturals tp and regular paper towels (pictured in ad). Got $2 but not the $5

      • I got the 12 pack of regular tp and regular paper towels in the Point Pleasant store this morning and both the $2 and $5 printed.

  • Does anyone have any information on any Stop/Shop in Nassau County, Long Island on whether the cats are producing and if so, the specifics on how they worked for you??? Thanks much.

    • I went to new Stop and Shop in Oceanside on Atlantic Ave- I got 1 pack of 1000 count TP and one roll of mega size paper towels. I used 1 $1 off coupon and received both the $5 and $2 Cat- I did this transaction 3 times. The $2 cat would not scan but i brought it up to CS and they gave me the cash for it.

  • Not working on pre price in new Milford CT bought Scott naturals toilet paper and paper towels

  • But got my $2 cat

  • deal is working on shelf price on Staten Island, but the $2 catalina doesn’t want to scan – had to go to customer service

  • Just did the deal at S&S in Manchester, CT and it worked. The only downside was that the $.70 cents off coupons wouldn’t scan. The cashier manually entered $1.40, so I didn’t get the double only $.70 cents off of each. I will try to do it again using the $1 off from the newspaper. Hope others had luck too!

    • I also live in Manchester, CT, which ones are working?

      • I’ve done the deal 3 times and have rolled only the $5 cat. I purchased the Scott Naturals TP (b/c of the newspaper coupon) and both the Scott Select a size paper towels and the Scott Naturals paper towels. In each transaction I purchased one tp and one pt, received both $5 cat and $2 cat. Only thing is that the new bar code does not scan at the self-service lanes, so u should go the regular check-out lanes and save urself some hassle.

        Good luck.

  • Did the Scott Naturals TP and the Regular Paper Towels with no coupons and did NOT get the $5 CAT, but got the $2 CAT.

  • Janice T. Benoit |

CONFIRMED! I did the Stop & Shop/Scott double dip and bought (1) 12 roll pack of toilet paper & (1) 6 roll pack of paper towels and both the $5 & $2 Catalinas printed after using (2) $.99/1 Q’s which said do not double but automatically DID!!! Did it twice and will do it twice again this week. THRILLED, to say the least :) (Seymour, CT)

    • Janice….When you did the second transaction did you use the $5 and $2 catalina towards your second purchase???? If so, did you receive another $5 catalina and another $2 catalina?????
Will be trying my second transaction tomorrow….thanks for a reply!!

      • Hi Kabby,
I did the same transaction, and used the two cats on my second transaction and it printed the same cats again.

        • Just an FYI…It is sort of like walgreens you have to have as many items as you do coupons(including your cats). So if you plan on using the two cats and two Scotts printables, you have to buy four items. Hope that helps!!!! :)

  • Chicopee mass. I have done the deal 4 times today. Mixed and matched naturals and regulars. I used 8 .99 cent coupons all doubled. I got 4 $5 cats and 4 $2 cats. I will be using the 1 dollar coupons next.

  • worked in Kinnelon NJ stop and shop. Got scott extra soft t.p. (reg $7.25, $4.99) and scott naturals paper towels(reg $10.99, sale $6.99) without a problem. Did 2 transactions with 4 of the .99 coupons that doubled.

Then decided to get more(the more the merrier..right) and got more scott naturals paper towels and scott naturals tube free toilet paper.
All of these had the .99 coupon also. The tube free may have been the problem b/c no 5.00 catalina printed, however they are pictured in the circular. The manager gave me the 2 5.00 catalinas from another register. so got 8 scott items for a total of $4.04 whoopie!!!!

  • I bought
    1 6pack naturals paper towel (used $1/1)
    1 12pack naturals tp (used $1/1)
Paid $9.98 only got $2 CAT

  • It worked in the Watchung Stop and Shop!

  • It is not working with the naturals toilet paper if u buy reg tp
And natural pt it work for me i did 4times new Britain. Ct

  • WORKED at the Somerset, NJ S&S, but I purchased 3 Scott items just to be extra sure.

    1 – 12-pk Scott Extra Soft Tissue $6.99 sale
    1 – 12-pk Scott Naturals Tissue $6.99 sale
1 – 6-pk. Scott Mega Towels (not Naturals) $4.99 sale

    coupons used:
    1 – $.99 Scott Extra Soft (doubled)
    1 – $.99 Scott Naturals (doubled)
    1 – $.99 Scott towels (doubled)

Total after sales & coupons came out to $13.03, and I received both the $5.00 and the $2.00 catalinas.

  • I am in CT and did this deal on Friday and asked the store manager does it calculate before or afer coupons and she did not know so she said we can try it. I bought 2 toliet paper $6.99 each and kashi cookies $2.50 totaling $16.48 – $3.96 in coupons (had 2 (.99 cents) coupons for toliet paper and the $5.00 Earth Day catalina did not print then the cashier said it calculates after coupons so you have to spend the $15.00 to get it. The cashier was nice enough to give me $5.00 bach even though I only spent $13 and change after coupons and tax.

  • I live in CT and i had the .99 off deal and i bought two rolls of 12 in TP and 2 6 packs of paper towels in tow separate orders. Not only did everything go thru at shelf price but i got the cats for both on both transactions

    • Jeremy….When you did the second transaction did you use the $5 and $2 catalina towards your second purchase???? If so, did you receive another $5 catalina and another $2 catalina?????
Will be trying my second transaction this morning….thanks for a reply!!

  • It seems like it’s the Naturals TP that everyone is having issues not getting the cat with. I’m going back today to stock up on more of the regular. I hope they don’t change it working on shelf price, this never happens at sns!

  • 1) 6pk of reg. paper towels, and 1) 12pk soft tissue
    received $2 Catalina and $5 Catalina :)
no coupons=still a really great deal!
    Jersey City S&S

  • working in monroe ny 1-6pk reg. 1-12pk soft. 2 cats and it rolled over

  • I just got back from the S&S in Sturbridge, Ma and it worked on shelf prices. I bought the 12-pk 1000-sheets tp and the 6-pk Mega roll pt and received both the $5 and $2 CAT. I will be returning on Thursday to do the deal again and will let you know if it rolls at that location.

  • I brought the 1 pack of scott paper towels regular and 1 pack of extra soft toilet paper. Used 2 of the .99cents off coupons that doubled and got the $7 catalina back. Question, how many times can I roll this deal before catalina stops printing. I did it 4 times and I still have coupons left for naturals paper towel, regular 12 pack toilet paper, and the 4 pack scott naturals toilet paper? I dont want these coupons to go to waste.

How many times will catalina roll? I did 4 times already?

    • It will probably roll till it runs out which is today. Awesome Deal! I’m hoping to do it 2-3 times today (i’ve only done it once so far)

  • did the deal in Newburgh,ny -1)6 pack Scott natural paper towel & 1) 12 pack Scott natural toilet paper & 1) Scott materials publishable wipes got back $3 and $5 Catalina.. :)

  • Scott wipes

  • I was able to get the deal and have it roll at the Stop and Shop on Beekman Rd in Hopewell, NY
I bought regular paper towel and the extra soft TP. I had the .99 coupons and they scanned and doubled no problem. Both cats printed, based on the shelf price.
So I figured I would try to roll it, with the same items and coupons. Everything was fine, except the $2 cat would not scan. The cashier entered it as cash without me even having to ask.
So if figured I would try one more time. I was a bit hesitant because I did not have anymore of the extra soft TP coupons and they were sold out of the 1000. I see the natural’s tube free did not work for some people, but I grabbed the last pack of it and a pack of the natural’s paper towels. The good news is that it worked! I got both cats. They did have to enter the $2 cat as cash again.
Since they were sold out of the 1000 and the natural’s TP, I figured I would try the New Milford, CT store. I had to go there for a doctor’s appt. anyway.
They were sold out of the natural’s paper towels, but I decided to get two packs of 1000 TP and forgo the $2 Scott Cat. Here, I ran into a problem. Coupon one scanned and doubled. Coupon 2 (it’s twin sister), did not scan. A manager had to enter it. She refused to double it because it says do not double. I argued with her that the other coupon doubled and that it’s a 5 and they always double. She said that was an error. What I really don’t understand is, why does it even matter? The store is covering the doubling cost, not the manufacturer. If the store’s policy to double coupons under .99, it’s coming out of their budget either way.
I told her I wanted my coupons back and left. I least I got three packs of TP and three paper towels for under $12 and I have $7 in cats left. I’m happy.

  • Tried it and it worked in ny.. the only problem was with rolling it. Like Rachel above.. I had problem with the 2 dollar cat.. Unfortunately the cashier figured that because I used the scott coupon than I can’t use the scott cat together. She did not entered it in manually :( . I was kinda upset but then I realize it was still a great deal because with 4 different transactions.. 3 Scott 1000 12 pack sheet tissues, 1 Extra Soft Scott 12 pack tissues, 3 Scott Natural Towels 6 packs and 1 Scott Mega roll 6 packs came to about 20.23 tax included and I still have 11 dollars cats left for next time.. So really, all that came to 9.23 bucks for everything.. I can’t believe it.. I’m stocked up for now on these ..I could never do so because of how expensive it is.. I have one more scott towel and tissue coupon left.. will use again tomorrow. Thanks to this site and all you guys ;)

  • In Northport, NY, deal is working off sale price. The $5 cat rolls, but not the $2.

  • the S&S in Teaneck, NJ worked on shelf prices. I bought the 12-pk extra soft tp and the 6-pk regular pt used .99 double coupon and $1.00 off coupon and received both the $5 and $2 CAT.

    • Cool! I am actually going to go there today. I work in Wyckoff and went to the S&S there, but they did not have the Natural TP (I have a $.99 coupon for the Natural TP). Then I tried the one in Dumont, but again, they did not have the Natural TP. So, hopefully the Teaneck S&S will have the Natural TP. If not, I do have the $.99 coupon for the flusable wipes, but you have to buy 2.

      • Lesley,
I am going there too. If you read earlier comments, they mention that $5 cat is not printing with Naturals TP. Like you even I have 0.99/1 on naturals TP, but I guess I will buy the regular TP just to play safe. :)

        • Went to the S&S in Teaneck. They did not have ANY papertowels. I even asked a worker there who was putting other brands of papertowels on a display, but they did not have any of the Scott brand left. They did have a few of the Natural TP, so if I wanted to do the deals and get the catalinas, then I had to get the Natural TP and (2) of the flushable wipes (I only have 4 of the $.99 coupons…2 of them were for the papertowels..one reg. and one natural brand..one natural TP and one for the flushable wipes, which I had to buy 2 of to use the coupon). So, I got the Natural TP and (2) of the flushable wipes. My coupons doubled and I did get both catalinas, $5 and $2. So, for me, it worked with the Natural TP.

  • New Paltz, NY store on Tuesday night- worked off of shelf price. I got the 6 pack choose a size in both regular and naturals, and the 12 pack TP regular. I did 3 separate transactions. The first MQ scanned and doubled no problem, but the second one (second print of same MQ) did not scan and the cashier gave me .99 cents cash for it. I did not argue cause it says do not double on it. I rolled but as others said, the $2 cat does not scan and needs to be entered by cashier. She did this no problem. GREAT DEAL_ THANKS!

  • It worked in watchung,NJ S&S. I bought one scott naturals towels and scott tp without coupons (as i don’t have them) and it printed both $5 and $2 catalina.

  • I was able to rollt his multiple times, I have 2 coupons left and $27 dollars in cats!

  • I was wondering if I have $28 in cats from scott deal can I then use them all at once at S&S.

    • It depends on a number of factors. First, you can only use 1 of the $5 cats per transaction and that’s because it’s a store coupon not a manufacturers coupon and it specifically states 1 coupon per transaction on it. All the “manufacturers coupons” is up to your particular store. I go to a Stop and Shop who will take as many catalina manufacturers coupons in a single transaction as long as it goes through, no beeps (the first can beep and they will put it through as cash but they will not accept anymore). There’s another store near me who will only take 1 cat per transaction (that’s why I stopped shopping there). I’ve learned over the years that the catalina coupons will NOT beep as long as you have an item in your cart that is at least the value of the cat and that you are not using a coupon on that. For example, the $2 cat that people were saying beeped, I used mine on a lasagna tray that was $2.19 (I had no coupons but I really needed it) and I had no problems. I would really ask someone in customer service so you don’t get any surprises at checkout.

  • It worked in Hicksville, LI. They ran out of paper towels so I had to buy the wipes and tp and got a $2 and $5 cat. I will go again today and hopefully they’ll have the paper towels in stock.

  • they $2.00 cats, would not work, so I have $12.00 in those, and then, I have 2 $5.00 cats, cause I could only use one per transaction and couple of transactions I did together.

  • This just worked in Newport, RI. Worked on PSP and the $5 cat rolled. The $2 one wouldn’t scan in, and the computer wouldn’t let the cashier put it in as a $2 gen merch coupon, so I have $8 in those to use next time.

I did 2 transactions with Scott Naturals TP 12 pack & Scott PT 6 pack, and then I did 2 transactions with the Scott Natural Paper Towels & Scott Extra Soft. I didn’t bother with wipes since I don’t use them. I did self checkout so the $0.99 coupons doubled and I was able to put the $5 coupon in so I paid $3.43 when the cat rolled.

My trunk is FULL of TP & PT!! It’s always so nerveracking when you aren’t sure if those cats are going to print, and then if they are going to roll!

All in all, minus all the cats, I paid $8.14 for 4 packs of toilet paper and 4 packs of paper towels… love it!!

    • JK, I paid less because some of those were gas rewards from the Pampers wipe deal in my first transaction… so more like $5! (no instant savings here in RI – boo)

    • great job, kristin! the $2 cat wouldn’t roll for me either. i did this deal 3X today. the $5 cat is rolling. i bought 1 pk of the natural PT and the 12 pk TP. based on the shelf price. cindy – thanks so much for posting this deal and to those who left feedback :)

      • yay thanks! I did this 4 more times… a total of 8 times (4 at the first SS, 2 at another and 2 at another, mainly because the other one was clear out of Naturals in TP and PT). i think i figured out it was like paying $1.30 per item. I used some of the $.70 coupons from the Scott website in the end too. I figured i have a years supply of paper towels now!

  • Found my .99 coupons on the last day and they doubled, YAY!, I think I have enough tp now for about a year and paper towels for the rest of this year at least. :)

  • I would like to mention that after going to 3 s&s in NJ, teaneck, dumont and tenafly the best store is dumont. Friendly cashier at self check out and fully stocked, modern and clean. Teaneck is still my favorite b/c of the friendly cashiers. Tenafly was the worst, no stock left, no self checkout and overall the store is old and not very clean. Just my opinion.
