  • :( i can’t never find the coupons that you match it with… am i dong something wrong… i collect all the coupons insert every week and i put them by week and month but when i go to look for the coupons its never on the insert you say it is…. pleaseeeee help…… :”(
for example the nasal ease allergy spray its suppost to be on the 3/11/2012 rp… i am looking and its not there … help any body

    • sometimes only certian areas get certian coupons. I live in upstate ny and don’t always get the same coupons as everyone else on here. plan ahead and check ebay for coupons. thats what i do.

    • Welcome to the world of regional coupons. Inserts can vary by region and location.

    • Sometimes, different newspapers carry different versions of the weekly coupons. This Sunday, try going to a store and looking through the inserts of a few different newspapers. You may be able to tell the differences in each, and, that may tell you which newspapers you prefer to get, going forward. For example, I am in NW NJ. If I compare the newstand copies of the Star Ledger versus the Daily Record, I find: Star Ledger does not carry the RedPlum at all in the newstand copy (it is only in the subscriber’s copy), but, it does carry the full, robust version of SmartSource. The Daily Record, on the other hand, does carry the full RedPlum, but, only carries a small, thin version of SmartSource (that is, not all the SS coupons that are in the Ledger version). So, you may need to do some sleuthing!

Also, as mentioned, you can try to just get specific coupons from eBay, but, if you don’t like doing that, you can also try online clipping services such as couponsthingsbydede, Klip2Save or Coupon Carryout. Between just these three services, you will find that they stock different regional versions of coupons that are listed here. So, you can do some research on these, also, and, come up with a plan of action that will get you the coupons you want/need! HTH!

    • Try Coupon Dede as well….. I have not had good luck with Ebay

  • a lot of times the coupons in the coupon inserts are regional meaning not every area gets them. I didnt get the 5.00 nasal ease one either and i live in ny . i wish everyone could get them but that just isnt the way it works i guess hope that helps you .

  • How do you print 4 of the $2/1 Dove, I can only print 2

what are the fillers for???? can any one expaline please

    • At Walgreen’s you need to have at least one item per coupon used and register rewards are considered coupons. So, if you buy three items, use three manufacturer’s coupons, and a register reward to pay, you would need to buy a fourth item (the extra one to cover the register reward ‘coupon’). The filler is a very low cost item that is used so that you have a very low out of pocket cost for that fourth item.

    • Fillers are cheap iteams that alows you to use a RR. Walgreens policy is that the number of coupons (RR counts as a coupon) can not be more than the number of products. Therefore you can use your RR.
      Hope that helps

  • Looks to be a good week at Walgreens. I hope I don’t run into any customer service issues!

  • The dove has a limit of 2 like coupons per purchase

  • I can’t find 2/1 Dove coupon. Please help. I’m directed to walmart website but can’t find coupons.

  • Great trip this morning! Couple FYI’s – In my store the Similasan had $2 peelies making it a better deal! For those with allergies, like me, I tried the Nasal Ease when I got home and it actually worked, lol! Took 5 – 10 minutes to kick in but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a powder, so couldn’t even tell if the stuff was coming out or not, lol!

  • Ugh! Have to work today, and got up early to go Walgreens. Was there at 9:00 am, and they were out of everything! No Nasal Ease, Similasan, Pepsi, ThermaCare, Aquafresh, and only 3 Dove Shampoo/conditioners left so I could not do the deal on this. Have 2 register rewards that expire today and when I said something to the manager was told “Well you don’t have to buy just sale items they can be used on anything in the store”

I am use to them being out of stuff by Sunday evening but this is ridiculous and apparently they are not ordering enough stuff! Don’t know if it will get me anywhere but I am going to call customer service.

I am curious how people go to Walgreens mid or end of the week and get the sale items. Do you live in remote areas, or does your store just order enough that it is in stock?

    • My store gets a truck delivery on Thursdays so many times they are out of stock or running low by Sunday when the new sale starts. I just go then when they are out of what I need on Sunday.

    • same thing where I live in Weschester County NY. i alternate between 2 walgreens and both are the same- they are always out of the sale items immediately. I would go early on sunday and-nothing! during the week try to go during lunch or after work- nothing! Then someone here said to try on Saturday bc they have to stock for some Saturday special beauty thing- so I tried that . I guess they don’t do it here! There is seldom any of the sale items and when there are they give you a hard time about using the coupons. Also, sometimes their ads are unclear about which purchases give you rr’s. No one in the store ever knows what is going on, they always have long lines and not enough help. I tried calling corporate. They offered me a $5 gift card. i don’t want a gift card, I just want to be able to do the deals as advertised in their flier and coupon book. So I stopped trying and go to CVS and Rite Aid instead.

    • I have stopped going to Walgreen’s for the same reason. They never have the sales items that I want when I go there. I work at a hospital near by a Walgreen’s and they give the hospital staff 15% discount off everything. Its a good deal if you can find the items on sale.

      • I am 99.9% sure that they do not stock the items on the shelf that have a high RR…I went very early Sunday morning and there was only one box of Similisan…and the nasal ease was out…one of the cashiers told me they only put a few out at a time and space it throughout the week…another one told me they never received it and that maybe they would have it on Thursday…I live in a low population rural area…it would be impossible to sell out unless they only put one on the shelf to begin with….In the end I took advantage of the Dove deal and only 1 Similisan. Seriously…what’s the point of shopping for sale items at Walgreens if it is more difficult to buy an item with a RR then winning the lottery. I understand that they do not want to put too many out at a time so more customers have the chance to buy at least one of an item…but they aren’t putting them out at all. It’s not worth the effort involved, CVS and Rite Aid are more reliable and less fickle.

    • i usually pre order mine i have until noon on sunday and my delivery comes tuesday or wednesday so ask them about that u never know

  • My Walgreens stopped me this morning from getting more then one Similasan Nasal Sprays deal. They said that only one per offer! So I was only abble to get just one. :(

  • I dont like walgreens…everytime I go in there something always goes wrong! I dont think I am going to shop there anymore! I like CVS better.

    • Totally with Stacey.. I went to my nearest one this morning and of course, they were out of Nasal Spray and Similasan 8 AM!!! , .. This particular one never has anything on stock so why bother.. Thankfully, I called another one and the cashier was nice enough to hold 3 nasal spray and 3 similasan for me….Spent $109.00, paid $8..!! spent my RR on sugar and cooking oil..lol

      • I guess I am not understanding why some Walgreens have the sale items and others are sold out Sunday morning. Is it because the manager or person responsible for bringing in the products is not ordering enough, or is Walgreens the company not sending the store sufficient stock.

To be out of stock on all sale items by 8 or 9 am is ridiculous, and after I get rid of my register rewards, I am giving up on Walgreens.

        • I have been over Walgreens for some time now. They never have what I’m looking for. It always seems like a hassle.

          • My Walgreens in NYC starts labeling the sale products Sat. afternoon. Therefore, Sun sales actually start Sat. afternoon and if you go at that time you can get two weeks worth of sales items. I, however, usually forget and am sometimes disappointed on Sunday mornings.

            • Hi GJ,
I’m in NYC too, well Manhattan to be specific, which Walgreen’s are you referring too?

I agree with everyone, Walgreen’s does a horrible job stocking their shelves. Especially the ones in Manhattan (I go to the one on 8 Street and Union SQ). They normally only stock about a dozen or two of each item, so you can only imagine what happens at the first 5 mins of a sale. It’s quite frustrating and the managers don’t care. They also do not label the shelves if an item is on sale so unless you review the flyers, you won’t know. At times I would tell my friends about a good deal and they would go to their local Walgreen’s and see the full price label on the shelf and don’t bother buying it, to prevent any conversations with the bad customer service reps as you’ll need to explain and convince them that the item IS actually on sale.

              • Sue,

I go to the one on the corner of 57th and 9th. Most of the employees know me there and are extremely nice and welcoming regarding coupons. I’ve had a few issues here and there but they were quickly remedied by corporate and subsequently the store manager. Truthfully, however, it’s hit or miss. Some sale items they will have a great supply, others absolutely none. I never come with any particular expectations. But I can tell you they have a A LOT of Pepsi Next! :-) BTW…you might want to try the Wags next to the Empire State Bldg. Since it’s not in a “neighborhood”, it tends to have a lot of the sales items, even on a Sat. (the day before the next sale starts).

                • I totally agree with you. If you live or work in a city, always go to the drugstores that are in “work” areas, not neighborhoods. They usually have stuff in stock and generally stuff is not labeled. Which is great for those who already know the deals.

  • Dove $2/1 coupon link you provide leads me to Walmart where there’s no such coupon…

  • Nivea for Men Skin Care or Shave Gel – $3.50
Get $2 Register Reward when you buy 2
$2 off (2)Nivea for Men Face Care or (2) Shave Gel or Foam, exp. 4/29/12 (RP 04/15/12)
As low as $0.50 each after coupons and Register Reward.

    Wouldn’t this be $1.50 each? 3.50 x 2 = $7 – $2 Coupon = $5 – $2 RR = $3 for two.

    • Depends on what you buy. The coupon is $2 off 1 Face Care item OR 2 shave gels. If you use 2 coupons for two shave balms then the formula would be:
      $3.50 x 2= $7 – $4(2-$2 coupons)=$3 -$2RR = $1 for 2($0.50 each)

  • i went around 6:00 this morning and shelf had about 8 or 9 nasal ease. I did 3 transactions, between that, the pepsi next and the Nice paper towels which also gave a $2 catalina making them $4. I went to two more Walgreens (as to not clear the shelves in one location) and same thing about the same # of boxes of Nasal Ease so im not sure if they are restocked or not. The paper towels of course not enough on the shelves which i dont understand why since they have a sale on them, the cashier did bring out some from the back for me. Yes it does seem on certain items they arent restocked once they are gone they are gone.

  • What does the “R” mean at the end?
    RP 03/11/12 R

  • I was contemplating going to Walgreens bc of the good sales. After reading the posts, I am reminded of my fustration…

  • I called 5 stores this morning and all of them are sold out of the Nasal Ease and Similasan. At least I know not to waste my time.

  • how many times can you do toothpaste deal?

  • I was unable to do the Dove deal – 3rd one beeped because q’s say limit 2 identical q’s per transaction… anyone else? I was able to buy 4 toothpastes in one trans.

  • At Walgreens, sometimes they have extra stock high up on the shelves around the perimeter of the store or in the back. I look up, then ask someone. I like Walgreens, since pass several between home and work and there is no card to limit how many I get. I agree that work stores or ones tucked in high income areas have usually had what I need. I’ll head back out today if my Nivea coupons come in the mail. alternating scrub, KY and NasalEase.
