I had one of the $2/1 Kikkoman coupons left over after I did the Shoprite Catalina deal, so I used it today at A&P. The Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce is priced at $1.89 this week. The cashier adjusted the coupon down to that price, so it was free, but then, to my surprise, a $1 Catalina printed even though I only bought one!
Does anyone know if the Quaker oatmeal coupon is supposed to double or not? I used it today and it didn’t double but didn’t realize it until I left the store. I don’t recall it saying DND on the coupon.
CE, I just had the same thing happen as well. And what was funny, or not funny depending, is that the zavers e-coupon WORKED. 1 in 20 for me, literally.
After looking again at the coupon, my guess is this: this particular coupon has both barcodes; the old school “5″ barcode and the new data barcode. The way the two are situated, I bet the cashier scanned the outer (new data) barcode.
At A&P, Ihave 100% luck with doubling only if the cashier scans the old school “5″ barcode, rather than the new one if the coupon has both. Of course, there are those that are marked Do Not Double or have a “9″ barcode; and aren’t expected to double.
Some of the cashiers are nice and fold the coupons so they scan properly. They know I’ll complain and require an override, Coupon Policy in hand
I’ve never had luck in taking a receipt back and making the claim about doubling. I have, however, returned the item just to buy it again USING the coupon if it was their mistake or their computer’s mistake. They can’t refuse you, and very rarely do they account for the coupon you used initially (doubled or not).
Sorry for being verbose, learning the A&P has been a huge undertaking!
So, did anyone try the Unilever $5 instant savings wyb $20 deal? Please report. I’ll only get my coupons tomorrow, but some of you already have them. At Stop and Shop there was a similar deal and it was just instantly taking off $5 off the order without any meat.

The $0.35/1 coupons is a DND9 but I don’t believe the $0.50/1 is.
I have the physical 50/1 coupon for Colgate, it does NOT state it can not be doubled anywhere on the coupon. So you should be good to go :0)
Ah good eye, thanks for the correction. I hadn’t even opened the Regional assuming they were DND9…wonder if they messed up lol.
Now it’s just hoping they actually double at my A&P.
Also, I am not sure if this will vary by person but…I am not seeing this available any more.

If you like them on facebook, it adds an extra $.25 to that coupon. I just printed them.

I had the same problem, but the cashier checked the coupon, and since it did not say DND, they doubled it manually
The .75/1 mentioned is marked Do Not Double on the top and has only the new barcode.

i went to a&p i did the Unilever deal & it did not work. they told me it had to be 20.00 after sale prices
