  • It’s been months since I’ve even gone to RiteAid, following a year of huge deals. It makes me worry that they’re file for chapter 13 soon given the huge change in their deals. Their stores are always empty, I find, and now, without good offers, I wonder…

    • same with me. used to do great and make a killing with the SCR but the deals do not get me in there. oh well, did great when I had the chance.

    • Agreed. They’ve become very tricky, making sure to price products in a way that you have to go way over in order to get UPR. And just overall have worse deals. They are also the least well-kept drug stores in my area. They are definitely hurting…

    • I know all of the Rite Aids around NJ have been, or are scheduled to be, renovated/upgraded. Our store has already been updated and now carries, IMO, a lot more stuff with more varied sales. That’s not to say better deals, just more varied. If they are teetering on Bankruptcy, hard to imagine being able to pull off the renovations.

Having taken part of the golden era of deals you speak of, we still have our gold level Wellness Card with 20% off anything not already on sale. That’s the huge gain for Rite Aid shoppers. With a coupon and 20% off, I beat Wal-Mart prices on a lot of staple items, without the Wal-Mart hassle.

We have our 2012 total well over 600$ so far with an Out of Pocket tally of less than 130$. Mind you, we aren’t freebie shoppers, we shop for what we need.

    • Same here. I only go there to fill my prescriptions, usually through the drive thru too, no reason to go in, and I’ve only bought one thing since there policy change and that was ONLY because my son needed his allergy meds lol
It is sad. I am sure they have lost an awful lot of business. What a shame.

  • Anyone know the limit for UPR on the Nature Made Vitamins?

  • I agree ladies. Rite Aid is never on my to do list anymore. CVS is much better but I have noticed all the stores have changed their sales, limiting great deals.

Rite Aid’s stock is really not doing too good and there has been talk of them going under.
