Well, it looks like the Kikkoman Catalina Deal just got a little better. The Kikkoman Marinade packets are included in the deal. The packets are priced at only $0.67 each and the $1/1 Kikkoman Marinade coupons can be used on them.

I’m confused, If I buy 3 marinades why do I need to use 3 – $1/1 coupons? The 3 marinades=$2.00, so I’d only need to use 2 $1/1 coupons, right??!! Please let me know if I’m missing something.

ShopRite adjusts the coupon down to the price of the product so even though it’s a $1/1 Kikkoman Marinade Coupon, they will adjust it to only take off $0.67 each.

Shoprite in Cherry Hill won’t do that. They told me if the item price is less than the coupon, you can’t use it. I asked them to adjust it down and they won’t.
That’s unfortunate. I’m thinking maybe they were just being a little difficult. I use the ShopRite in Ewing and they’re registers are automatically set to adjust the coupons down so you don’t recieve overage.
A bit of subject Roslyn, but have you ever encountered any problems with the Ewing Shop Rite? I’ve only been there twice with no problems (they allowed me to use 6 like coupons in one order) but I don’t want to continue to drive 18 miles out of my way if they are known to be problematic about coupons.
I shop at Cherry Hill Shoprite too and it really depends on the cashier. I find it’s best to put it back and go back in line with another cashier. ^__^
My smartsource 1/1 q for any one marinade beeped. The cashier said it’s only for the bottles as it is the one on the picture. The line was long so I didn’t bother expressing that the coupon says any one marinade and I went to CS instead. They took 2 of my 1/1 Q since the kikkoman packets were priced at 3/2.
Hi Ueen; My $1/1 coupons beeped also for the packets 3/$2, they pushed them through manually because of the “any” and a bonus was the full $1.00 came off, so I only gave them 2 coupons for 3 packets, paid $0 and got the $2 cat. The only bummer was very few packets of marinade and I chickened out on trying it out on any other of the packets. However it was the front end manager that made the call on pushing the coupon through, not the cashier.
Lucky you. Most of the time its the individual charm and politeness that makes things possible.
Does anyone still see the coupon? I don’t see it, maybe I printed it already?
Does anyone know where these are in store? In my store they used to be by the other kikkoman items, but they haven’t been there in 6 months. Any suggestions? It tasted great on steak so I’d love to get more!

FYI, my $2/1 coupons scanned in with no beeps and took the full $2.00 off the $1.69 marinades, so money maker on top of catalina money maker.
My Shoprite wouldn’t take the coupons for the packets… so annoying!
I went during my lunch hour to a different Shop Rite to do another deal and they refused to take my coupons. They stated that it needed to be the marinades pictured in the coupon and when I pointed out that it said on ANY Kikkoman Marinade product she said that was not the case. I even mentioned that other Shop Rites gave me no problems and she stated that, “well, they don’t know what they are doing.” Unbelievable! I drove down further to a different Shop Rite and had absolutely no problems there.
If getting more than 3, I would do them in different transactions. I went this morning to take advantage of this deal and did everything in one transaction, got 10 total, and only one $2 CAT printed out. I didn’t make a fuss about it as I only paid $0.17 OOP since the cashier gave me full credit for each coupon. I still got two of the $1.75/3 left so I will make sure to do them in different transactions.
On Long Island the cat is only $1/3. LI is more expensive on alot of things I see in the match up, but still appreciate it!! I had my son with me and he brought 2 of the kikkoman sauces ($2.99 ea) and we used the $2 coupon, got back $1 cat on that too.
My kikkoman coupons wouldn’t scan, I was lucky she pushed them through.
I was able to get the $2 cat at the Commack store yesterday.
I bought 2 and got a $1 cat in the Plainview location.

Just got back from shoprite and I bought the 3\$2 marinades with no coupons for this and I did not get a catalina from kikkoman.
If your store have a cat deal tag (like that of what cindy posted) go to CS and point the same to them. Shoprite is good at honoring these things.
I do not recall that the marinade packets had that cat deal tag only the bottles of kikkoman had the cat tags.
Same here. Bought 3 packets to test it out first and no cat printed. What marinade packets are everyone else buying? Specifically?

It is “Marinade Mix for Meat” and there is a picture of a cut steak on a black round plate with three slices of tomato and a sprig of rosemary. It is exactly like the one in the picture that Cindy posted.
it worked for me yesterday it is marinade with meat on it. I gave them the $1.75/3 coupon and $2.00 cat printed.
I tried this deal out yesterday and the register kept beeping saying Unmatached Couopon. I had 3 packets of the meat marinade also. The cashier told me I needed to buy the bottles because that was what the picture on the coupon was. I told her the coupon states any marinade. She told me that it also wouldn’t work because the coupon was more than .66 cents. Finally a manager told her to put it in manually. She didn’t want to give me the catalina because she knew I got it free and made money on the deal. I told her can I please have my catalina! Finally with a dirty look she gave it to me.
yeah, my cashier had to turn the key, he was nice. I always go to guys, and I go to the more urban supermarkets, caus they dont give me any trouble, they just turn key, and I keep it moving lol.
mine was a woman who acted like the money was coming out of her pocket.
I usually do cashier profiling and find the young guys to not care and just key in the coupon if it doesn’t work. Shoprite in connecticut is like another world for some reason, the prices are higher and the sales different.
While I had a fantastic trip to shoprite today, spent $28–saved $88……..there is a major problem with the kikkoman coupons. They now have wording on them that basically says (I dont have anymore) that you can only use one per this brand per transaction! So, even if you have three products, you can only use one coupon! Bummer!
