I went to Acme this morning. They didn’t allow me to use the coupons with the sale. I’m not sure if it was my local store or my state. Was anyone able to use the BOGO coupon with the BOGO sale?
I went to one Acme yesterday and bought 4 of them all free with no problem. Went to another Acme today and the cashier said no and then the manager said no. I just went on line to look at their coupon policy. It says you can not use a BOGO internet coupon with a BOGO sale, but says nothing about a “regular” coupon. Too confusing!
they are in the store. I got one a couple of weeks ago and they had thousands. My mom went 2 days later and not a single one was to be found in the store. The funny thing is our Acme isn’t busy. I would hate to think someone walked out with 100′s at one time.
I found them either in the front of the store with the weekly circular or at the customer service desk. If you ask them, I’m sure they can give you one.

and the cat didnt print i went to customer service and the ladie told me
if i was crazy what i was think i was doing “You just got 4 razor for a $1.11 and u wanna more money on it” I try to explained to her this is part of the promotion . and she called 3 other customer service and they all talking that i wasnt supost to use the BOGO coupon in the first place..i keep my cool and left..:(

I just had a similiar experience with the razors at the Elkton, MD Acme also. I calmly explained to Customer Service about the P&G deal and that I bought 4 Gillete BOGO razors and didnt get the $5.00 cat. She checked everything out and verified the items bought. Even rang up the deal herself and stated, “that it is only ringing up at $17.98 under the $20.00 needed.” I just looked at her puzzled. Knowing that I purchase 4 razors at 8.99 ea = $35.96… (Got to love the “coupon predujice or sterotyping” ) Then she makes the comment while showing me on the sales paper, ” You have to spend…(pointing at the paper) pay $20.00 in your total. You didnt pay anything for those.” I just thought wow, lol… thinking to myself… she has no idea of how deals and coupons work. She also comments, ” they are changing how coupons work now. That you can only get 4 items.” I laughed and said, its been like that that with P&G on thier coupons. And that I shop at Shoprite and they have where you can only use 4 like coupons, same with Pathmark. But at Acme you have no restrictions. She was taken back with my knowledge. Got to love stereotyping. lol
But Gia, after this posting, Im going to write an informative letter to Corporate of Acme asking why do they offer BOGO items that they dont honor in thier $20.00 P&G catalina deal.

I also had a problem too trying to get the razors but for a totally different reason. The coupon states, “B1 G1 male gillette disposable razors” and the cashier asked if they were mach 3, and i said no, it says, “male disposable razors”, and she said mach 3, and i was just like i don’t want them. Just because the picture shows mach 3.
I had a problem for a totally different reason. I wasn’t even trying to get the $5 cat back, I was just trying to get the razors for free. After I rung up 8 razors and gave the cashier 4 coupons she said she was not sure I could use them. So they check with the head cashier and c/s and they could not decide; so they checked with the mgr who told me I was not purchasing anything since the P&G coupon was paying for them. He told me I had to buy 3 and (pay for one) to get 2 free. I tried explaining that the one I had to purchase was being paid by the P&G coupon but he would not relent. The funny thing is – this was my second transaction and the first cashier let me buy 8 and rang the coupons with no problem. With coupons, it truly does matter what kind of cashier you get!!
I did call Acme HQ tonight and she said it is up to the discretion of the store mgr but she would escalate my call to the district mgr and they would call me on Monday. I’ll be anxious to see what is said.
I called customer service 800 number on the Acme website. She told me she had to call the store, Browns Mills, to find out if I could use the BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale and the store said, “No”. What I don’t get is why they care. They get reimbursed from the manufacturer. I couldn’t find it in the coupon policy, does anyone know where it states that you cannot use a BOGO coupon in the policy? I asked the customer service rep on the phone and she couldn’t find it either. But I would never raise a stick about it.
UPDATE FROM CATHY – SORRY I DID NOT POST THIS SOONER.
I did get a call on Sat night from the Asst Store Director where I had the issue. He said that Super Value sent him an email that clarified the policy. You can definitely use the BOGO coupon on the BOGO sale and get 2 items for free. I was glad I printed it and carried it with me because I was challenged more than once. I also mentioned to the ASD that there were several people upset because they were not getting the $5 cat when they purchased over $20 in P&G products and he said that was wrong and he would contact Corp about that. He must have done so because on Sat night, the cat printed. Found out that you need to buy 6 packs of razors because the free ones do not count toward the $20. Also, if you do more than one transaction, only one transaction, per Acme card, per day, will print the cat.
The next day you can again buy 6 and get the $5 once. The Manager of Guest Satisfaction said they will notify all stores this week of the BOGO policy.
If anyone wants a copy of the Acme email from Corp, please leave your email address I will forward it.

I did get the catalina for buying 6 pantene…….
Just courious ruth, did you use any coupons when you bought the pantene? Boy do I feel stupid, but how am I to know that the 20.00 is AFTER coupons. Lol. And I just got done writing a letter to Acme too.. snail mail. Cause thier email wasnt working. Good thing I didnt mail it before checking back. Still mad at them
I did this deal this morning in Cape May County. I got 6 men’s and 6 Daisy using 3 coupons for each. I don’t know why because my total was way under $20 after manufactures coupons but I got a $5 P&G cat. HTH
The OC store is just nasty! I always use the Seaville or the ocean view one. Neither has ever given me a problem about doubling coupons. The biggest problem I have is that they actually get so few coupons they seem surprised and not sure what to do. I did this deal at both though.
I also got the $5 cat, I believe its because thier sale is b1g1 free, which means the total before coupons is less then $18 which would not total $20. I purchase 3 mens got 3 free same w/womens daisy razor

I didn’t receive my cat for Pantene bought 6 used (3) $3 off 2 and no cat. I received my cat on Del Monte and used a coupon. I’m thinking the Pantene was buy $20 and the coupons reduced it. Del Monte was buy 4 and get $1 cat. I bought 10 and used (2) $1 off 5 and received (2) $1 cats. A little frustrating but I only use Pantene and $2 each isn’t a bad deal.

So the big question is does Acme allow you to use a BOGO coupon with a BOGO sale and pay $0? CVS allows this. HTH!

no cat in Sicklerville. I asked and you have to spend $20 AFTER coupons. So since after coupons and BOGOF yor total is 0 you do not get a cat.

Carol, I did use the $3/2 coupons…maybe the non-sale price would add up to $20 after coupons.

Which Acme in CM county? Ocean City gave me a hard time about using a $.90 coupon a few weeks ago. I usually don’t have trouble in NCM.
