This week the Gillette Disposable Razors are Buy One Get One Free at Acme. Plus there is a B1G1 Gillette Male Disposable Razor in the 6/3 P&G insert to score them for free. Reader Ashley reported that she purchased 8 Razors, paid just tax and it produced at $5 Catalina. I’m not sure what triggered this catalina but she did the same deal a couple of times and it worked each time.

I was just at Acme and was told that B1G1 coupons can only be used on a B1G1 sale
my phone hiccuped anyway was told You would have to buy 3 items and pay for 1 and get 2 free. I called corporate and they said as per manufacturer redemption policy, you couldn’t use this Q on a B1G1 sale because it would apply to the item you are already getting free and would therefore render the coupon pointless. They basically told me to save it for when its not on sale because regardless of when I use it, for every 2 items purchased you only get 1 free regardless of the B1G1 sale and coupon. I’m confused….
Ok, so, I typically do not shop (overpriced) at Acme and today just reaffirmed why I don’t shop there, and there parking lot remains empty while I need to drive around for a while to find a spot at my ShopRite. I go and get my 8 packs of razors and head to the register… the guy looks at my coupons and says I can’t use all of them because the store is already giving me one free, so that would mean I would get them free (can’t let that happen), and that I must buy three total to use the coupon. I politely disagree explaning that the manufacturer is reimbursing them for the other one, same as if I were paying OOP, still a no go. He calls over someone from customer service and she agrees with him… I’m like, are you kidding me? So, after collecting all the appropriate phone numbers to call and complain, I head to the Acme down the road. This time I go thru the self checkout, show the coupons to the lady and she does make a comment about them being free, but does push them through. I DID receive the $5 catalina as well….. Read my lips on this, if you are going to go to Acme to do this, STAY AWAY, FAR AWAY, FROM ACME IN MOUNT HOLLY (RTE 541), NJ, UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A CRIMINAL. Amazing to me they are still in business…
I usually go to the ones in Burlington and Willingboro. It’s kind of a 50/50 shot when I go in there.
My Acme is really nice. Never had any such problem there. It’s odd how they are different from location to location. Why can’t companies make all their stores the same? That is the point of a chain store!
I thought I was the only one that felt like a criminal when walking into this Acme. They are not coupon friendly at all. There is only male cashier that works there that enjoys coupons as he himself wants to start couponing. Besides that, I have had countless coupons refused because wording was “not clear”. They had an error during the B1G1 Sargento a few weeks ago in which all the cheeses were scanning for free and they made me seem like I was the one in the wrong. I had to sit there waiting for 15 minutes while they corrected their mistake.
In reference to this deal, I was able to do it in Burlington as Willingboro was sold out. I only got 6 packages but still got the $5 CAT.
Does anyone know, do you have to buy 8 razors to get the cat?
P.S. can you get the cat with buying less razors?

Just a heads up that last time Acme had a B1G1F deal (The Speedstick) Acme customer service over the phone and the Acme Facebook page both stated that Acme does not allow a B1G1F coupon on a B1G1F sale.

I got 8 of the razors free using 4 BOGO coupons . Just paid taxes. However, no cat. Still an awesome deal!

Bought 6 no cat. Also had trouble needed the 6 to be all same of 3 pairs of same style

I just checked Acme’s Facebook page and their policy states that you can not use a B1G1 coupon on a B1G1 sale. It isn’t written in their coupon policy available to the public, but they do have policy on this which customer service provides ( I found this out when I called earlier today). The following is what I found written on their Facebook page provided by their reps: For BOGO, ACME does not coupon the “free” item because it is already “free”. So coupons are allowed on the first item, not on the second “free” item. A customer will be able to purchase the first item and receive the second item free.
coupon works fine paid .30 with tax for two packs
Is this in the ad because I’ve flipped throug a few times now and can’t find it. It is, however, entirely possible that I am missing a page as both my toddlers have played with this ad.
I just got 50 packs of these using 25 coupons and got them all for free. I only got 1 catalina but still a very good deal.
