My Shopping Trip: ShopRite and Stop & Shop
My Shopping Trip: ShopRite and Stop & Shop
Well, I can say that I am starting to feel a little more comfortable shopping in our new town. I now know how to get to all the stores although, even though I get there, it might not be the quickest way.
Last night I dragged Pat out to ShopRite with me. Actually, we had to go to Home Depot to pick up garbage cans for recycling (used a 10% Lowes Coupon that we received from the USPS Change of Address Pack) so we stopped at ShopRite and Stop & Shop on the way home. I was going to go back to Best Market (located in Holmdel) for the Boneless Chicken they have for $1.79 per lb this week but, I got the new ad in the mail yesterday and Boneless Chicken Breast will be only $1.59/lb starting tomorrow. Yippey! If you are anywhere near Best Market, I would recommend going there. Green Peppers will be only $0.39/lb, 1 dozen eggs $0.59 Bush’s Baked Beans $0.59 and lots of other great deals. That is where I will be tomorrow for sure.

Cindy – Thanks for all you do for us!
My ecoupons for shoprite have not come off in my last 2 shopping trips. My numbers are correct. Do you know whom I should contact regarding this?
call the 800 number on shoprite website
I always go to customer service when this happens. If that doesn’t work, call ShopRite corporate.
My ecoupons have not been coming off as well. And my husband who I brought with me today had his own list of items and he convinced the cashier to take it off because he was not allowed to spend more than what I had written on his list (what a good guy, lol)
Oh I like that! What a guy!
I am going to the Best Market tomorrow because of your post!
Welcome to the neighborhood Cindy……….My job is located in-between the Best Market and Stop and Shop on 35! Can’t wait to run into you.
O Cindy don’t forget to check out Aldi’s on 35. Can’t use coupons but they have some good deals sometimes.
I opened the ad and I was like, wow! Gotta run there first thing Friday morning. Maybe I’ll see you there
We have Aldis up here in CT. and their garlic salsa is great!
Where is the Best Market located at in Holmdell? I live in NY but am always on the road traveling for work and will actually be down around that area tomorrow. Do you need their add coupons for those prices or is there a limit on how many you can buy. I don’t mind stopping along the way for those prices!
It’s on Rt 35 in Holmdell. There are limits of 2 for the chicken, eggs. 5 lbs for the peppers. They do have some stores in NY. Here is the website. http://www.bestmarket.com/
Do they take coupons??
One in Long Island (Huntington) is not yet open. This is where Waldbaums used to till this March. I read local paper saying Best Market is opening there. There is another one called Best Yet in East Northport in Long Island. I was told they are same company, but different names.
I have been Best Yet in E. Northport. Price was good but it was not that clean there. Hoping one in Huntington to be much bigger and cleaner.
Wow is right! Just looked at the add online and they have some really good prices! Do they take coupons too? And does anyone know what time the one in Holmdell is open til. Would definitely like to stop!
Thanks TONS Cindy you are the best!
I am soooo bumming what great deals. We have no Shop Rites in Ohio. However we do have Aldi’s. You will love them. They have produce fairly cheap. I bought 8 pack buns for .25 cents Tuesday. On spec mark down. When you go always look for the red signs
It seems like the sales in NJ are better. I live in LI and the Best by me has the green peppers on sale for .99/lb and the chicken breast is buy 5 packs for 19.99.
I had the same problem as Kathy. My ecoupon for Kellogg’s did not subtract either. Went to customer service and they looked at me like I had two heads and no one knew what I was talking about.
About the ecoupons question from shop ite, I read an earlier post abt someone having the same issiueand when the called corporate they wer e told it was a glitch inthe system that allowed them to use both paper q and e coup, and they just fixed the glitch. The e coup and paper q would not come off at the same time going forward.
Do you know when this glitch was fixed? I purchased 3 spam last Friday and used (1) $1.50/3 manu. coupon and the $1/3 ecoupon came off.
well, sunday the $2/2 kelloggs didn’t work, but yesterday it did, despite that I used $1/2 and .70/1 for all the cereals I bought….
bracha,
Could you please tell us which cereals you bought yesterday? Thank you..
Welcome to the neighborhood Cindy!! There was another market in that same store before the best market that I used to go to, but once it closed I haven’t yet been back. I will definitely make it a point to stop in there when i’m in the area! When you start to venture out more, there are a few other “Farm Market” stores and also in Red Bank, there is a farmer’s market on Sunday Mornings near the train station where you can support the local farmers for a great price!
Cindy
My shop rite has Natural instincts hair color for 6.99, NY is so expensive!!!
I’m in NY and it was $5.99! I’m in the Hudson Valley area..
I did the natural instincts deal, but only had 2 coupons for $2 off 1. Anyway, there are a lot of P&G bogo coupons out there for other things too that work well to help you reach the $75 total quickly by spending half of $75 or less. Plus, for those with the beauty club benefits it makes it an even sweeter deal
Cindy
You had no issues using Natural Instincts CAT on more Natural Instincts? It says right on the CAT it not to be used on P&G products so I am a bit leery cashier will catch that. Has anyone run into problems with it stating not good on P&G products?
Just got out of Shoprite. I bought 1 box of Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut “Caramel Nut” and used the $0.70 coupon. My ecoupons worked plus I got a $2 Catalina for buying 1 box of cereal. I didn’t know that the Catalina deal was still active.
Cindy, I am in Delaware and I did the Clairol Natural Instincts hair color scenario this week. On my first purchase I had two boxes which rang up for $5.99 each. I also had the $5.00 of of 2 coupon which I used. As an experiemnt, I tried the $2.00 of 1 also and it worked! So my OOP cost was only $4.98 and I got the $6 catalina! I did that sam scenario 4 more times and I reached my $75 limit in no time! I did have to purchase some Crystal Light packets because my last 4 transactions were going into a negative balance and my Shoprite does not pay the customer back. All in all, that was an AWESOME dea! Thanks for the scenario!
@Erica, if you only purchased 2 hair dyes you should have only used ONE $5/2. You cannot use a $2/1 in additional to that. You would have to buy 3 products to use ONE $5/2 and ONE $2/1.
Hi Erica, Since you purchased 2 items you can use the following:
(1)$5/2 Clairol
OR
(2)$2/1 Clairol
You can not use both the $5/2 and the $2/1 on only 2 products. That would require the purchase of 3 products. The store will not get reimbursed for the $2/1 coupon that you used so it’s important to be sure to use the coupons for the correct quantities. Hope that helps you to understand it better.
