  • Just a heads up… when I saw the Gatorade listed here for the buy$75 get $25 I got all excited (my kids love that stuff)… I was looking to use coupons I have for B9 /G3 free….However the ones listed in the deal are the 64oz ones not the 32oz that the coupons are for… =o(

    • betcha that coupon will still work!! try it

      • Dave, that is seriously inappropriate to say. Coupon use for something it’s not intended for hurts all of us!

        • Mary, Often coupons from a certain company will work on all their products. Dave is not telling you to copy or fraud coupons, he’s simply telling you to give it a try. Worse thing that happens is it doesn’t work. I recently had a Texas Toast coupon that stated it was for their tortilla strips for salad, but instead I used it for the croutons and it worked. I don’t think Dave is being inappropriate at all.

          • No, if the coupon says if it’s for something specific (either a type/size of their product), then only use it on that. A store has to reconcile that they sold a certain product/size and if they can’t then they won’t get reimbursed for a coupon. Otherwise they would be able to just buy inserts and send all the coupons in without selling something. So using a coupon that specifically says “on 32oz” and you buy a 64oz product it is, in fact, fraud.

            • Mary that is not how coupons work. I personally don’t think this is fraud at all. If the store accepts it, then it’s up to them to get reimbursed. And if your wondering how in fact the coupon process works, you might want to check out this article that I’ve pasted a link to below.
              http://money.howstuffworks.com/personal-finance/budgeting/question426.htm
              Happy Couponing :)

              • It doesn’t matter what you “personally think” – if you use that coupon for something that it is not listed for, it’s fraud. End of story. Just think about it, if the manu didn’t care what it was used for then why wouldn’t they only release ‘on any of our products’ coupons????

            • I agree, Mary. We need to be responsible couponers. And, most people have heard that the general rule for determining what a coupon applies to is to read the wording, as opposed to looking at the picture.

So, for example, Shannon, if that Texas Toast coupon were to apply to the croutons, as opposed to the tortilla strips, it would have said “any” Texas Toast product, or, “croutons AND tortilla strips”, etc. And if we try it and it does go through, all that means is that we are gaming the system, not that the manufacturer intended for it to be used any way we want, despite what they listed.

It’s the same thing I see going on, in these recent posts for the Tyson Anytizers. There is a coupon for $0.75/1 Bagged product, and, some folks are promoting their usage on the boxes. The bags go on sale, regularly, also, so, there are good deals to be had there, too.

I really don’t want to soapbox this, but, I, for one, am really appreciative of the coupons that manufacturers do put out. If it happens they put one out for a product I won’t buy, you know, I just don’t use the coupon! I don’t just try to use it for anything else I do want. There are so many good coupons and deals out there that I really don’t want to mess up our chances for future good ones by mis-using the ones I do have! Sorry, just my 2 cents…

              • I also agree with Mary. But it makes it hard to understand the proper use of coupons when you have websites and television shows such as extreme couponing putting the wrong information out there.
There are couponers out there who believe that it is ok to use a coupon for a specific item for any item made by that brand. I too at one point thought it was ok when I first started couponing until I did more research and realized that I was using coupons improperly. It takes quite some time to fully understand the ins and outs of couponing. And you do have some stores that knowingly accept coupons in that manner. Personally I check with my store first if I am unsure about their coupon policy.
Please don’t fault the people who are just starting and have the wrong information handed to them by crappy sites and mis-leading television shows. By joining AWESOME sites like this (Thanks Cindy!!!) they are able to get the correct info they need and hopefully they will understand that using a coupon on a product it is not intended for is considered fraud.

                • Mary is correct. If a coupon says 10oz and you use it for a 12oz that is improper use of the coupon even if the register still scans it. The company specified that it should only be used on a specific size and the company can’t go around to every cash register in the world to check how it scans. If a cashier is looking at the coupons they wont let you do it. Imagine using a coupon for 1 Colgate Toothpaste. The coupon says $1 off 4.0 oz or larger. Just because it scans on a smaller size doesn’t mean you are supposed to take advantage of that. What happens is the company will not reimburse the store because the coupon was used inappropriately and the store has to pay for the mistake which makes the store hike up prices for everyone to recoup what they lost. On each coupon it states that the coupon is to only be used for the product specified, any other use constitutes fraud. I thought everyone knew this already?
Ok, go ahead with ya’ll bad selves and use the coupons inappropriately and if you are caught, you could go to jail.

        • Mary, the fact that you deem this as “inappropriate” is just hysterical. It is not as if it was suggested we use a gatorade coupon to buy a swiffer. While it does state a size restriction, the store still sells the gatorade product and can still be reimbursed the value of the coupon. This is not fraud or deception or anything of the sort, no one is gettinf ripped off here.

          • Susanne, that’s fine. Whatever you need to do to make yourself feel better about doing something fraudulent is your business.

  • Hi
Is this workin on shelf prices?

    • I did this at the Pathamark in edgewater park, I spent $78 sale price and when it rang up it said I had only spent 56$ towards the deal. I talked to customer serive, they looked over everything with me and we realized the price difference was due to my coupons, so it only works on what you actually spend. That was slightly annoying because I just can’t justify spending 20-30 on any more items, I’m stocked to capacity! I really hope everyone else has better luck with the deal than I did.
Oh, but they had $.75 coupons for shout, windex, fantastick and scrubbing bubbles all which are on sale for $1.88, I bought 12 used a variety of .75 cent off 1 coupons for a total of 4.58 and I got 5$ added to my savingstar account. 12 FREE cleaners! I guess I should complaining about my bad luck on the $25 gift card deal!

      • With regard to the .75 tear-off coupons they had with the windex — the coupons indicated “Do Not Double.” So I paid $1.88- .75 = $1.13 ea. (Bought 4 Windex). But you have me stumped on the Savingstar deal. Was it for windex? Thanks in advance.

        • PS Many thanks for the heads-up on the $75/get $25 card deal. I really was stretching to get $75 on shelf price, much less on sale price! (And for some reason I didn’t have/clip the duracell battery coupons)

          • Thanks for the info because I was goin to do the Duracell deal and didnt work because the coupons I guess I’m passing.but I did go to thes shoprite in war minster and my total was 109.50 before coupons I end up paying 10.35 after coupons. I’m happy with all the ice cream..;)

      • Weehawken’s tearpads were wiped out :(

      • Would you (or anyone else reading) happen to have any more of those coupons. I went to Edgewater Park today and they were gone. I’d be more than happy to trade coupons!

      • Felicia,

I had the same thing happen to me today. :( Luckily, they took everything back, because I couldn’t justify the amount I was spending oop for what I brought home.

  • Don’t forget about the $1/1 Mott’s for Tots coupon
    Mott’s for Tot’s-$2.00
    $1/1 Mott’s for Tots(printable)
    =$1.00 ea.

  • The 2$/3 Bacardi Mixer coupon off their website is gone, but the 1$/3 on their FB is still avaliable fyi

  • Does the spend $75 have to be in 1 transaction?

    • Jill
No they will track d transations on d bottom of the receipt according to customer service , also they said that is after coupons…:(

      • Went today to buy the Gain dish detergent. It tracked sale price before coupons. I used .50 coupons and only paid tax, but got credit for .99 each towards the gc.

  • Also the shout on their website is a color catcher w. booster coupon now

  • i know the nathans hotdogs are bogo. Does anyone know how much they are though? The post office did not bring my ads yet, though i’m pretty sure the ad only says BOGO and not a price.

    • Last week when they were BOGO as well, they were $5.99 each. I was lucky enough to win a free product coupon through their facebook promotion a little while back, so I scored both packs for free!

    • Looks like the hot dogs are $5.99 each before BOGO.
      :0)

    • Sorry, I don’t get their circular, but, just to get an idea, last couple of times they had the Nathan’s BOGO, they were $5.99…

  • So how much are the Bacardi mixers….Has anyone bought them yet???

    • Dawn Holgersen |

At the Pathmark in Edgewater Park, NJ the Bacardi Mixers were $2.41. They’ll be $1.41 each WYB 2, using the $2/2 coupon that was out recently. HTH!

  • There were a few ecoupons that came out this morning which affected some of the deals. They have been updated with the new coupons. A good one is for the new Nquil Zzzz product. It is now $0.79 if you use the coupon and ecoupon.

  • I think even if you buy seventy five dollars worth of items at sale price before coupons is still worth the thirty three percent return regardless. My mom and I just received the $2 off Gain Fireworks coupons in the mail yesterday and they are on sale for $5.99 being part of the gift/gas card deal so 4 x 5.99= 23.96 then minus $8= $15.96. So if I do the card deal I will be getting a 33% return on the $23.96 which is $7.92 so I am essentially loaning Pathmark my money, LOL.

    • Thanks for this deal! I totally will use this one! My fiancee runs a bar kitchen so i am stock piling can goods for the bar! WOO HOO! I want the most profit return possible for my family as we increase from 2 people to 3 people!

      • Kristella, I also bought the canned vegetables on sale for 2/$1 and that was the price being tracked. Classico tomato sauce is also on sale 2/$4 and I had some coupons but it tracked sale price as well before coupons. Have fun and remember if something doesn’t go well just return it. I received an $8 off $80 coupon via email today from Pathmark so it made my trip even better so make sure you sign up online with them for future savings. These type of coupons get sent out most Mondays lately.

  • Hi,
Does Pathmark have eCoupons like what shoprite has?? I am new to Pathmark. Thanks in Advance!
