It’s great…..very hands on, and perfect for a 4 year old. If you can, go on Monday, since they don’t let school/daycare groups through, so it’s a little less crowded.
For any military members out there: Military discount gives 2 free admissions to every active military ID. Present your valid ID at admissions.

I have a 4yr old and we went the week of spring break on a Wednesday and spent the entire day there it wasn’t that crowed. My son and his friends had a great time. Really is an amazing place to visit with young children has many theme rooms on 3 floors that you visit to interact ex: rainforest musical instruments, space, alice in wonderland, storybook, trains, pretend play town, sensory water tables (just for hands), the piano from the movie BIG, etc… .
My kids (4&6) love Please Touch! We stop there on our drive from CT to SC when we visit the grandparents. They have a very nice cafe area with many food choices too. We park along the street for free instead of the lot. They are reciprocal with other children’s museums too, so if you have a membership to another participating museum you will receive free admission.
