Couple quick things.
1. Could we get a reminder next time that babybucks and shoprite family rewards are about to reset. I ran out just now to buy a few baby items to get a new babybucks certificate that would not have been possible tomorrow. Next reset is 10/27/12 but i know some people may forget that.
2. Could you put up some sizes for certain items? stuff like creamers or other dairy 16 oz or 32 oz makes a difference on whether it is a good deal.
3. Kellogg’s dollar days offer is any 5 itmes , noit just the ones listed. all others are participating items, but not Kellogg’s.
why don’t you
1. try and appreciate everything cindy already does for us at FREE OF CHARGE
2. look up sizes in your local flyers

yes I completely agree, maybe we should help Cindy out with this kind of stuff. just like the double cats & other unadvertised deals we know about first. also just a helpful note.I use the calender in my cell phone for daily alerts to any ecb’s, rr or catalina’s that are going to expire withing the next 2 days. as well as birthday etc. even if I need paper I’ll set my calender alarm to remind me to pick some up the next day. isnt it sad when you have more coupon information on your phone for alerts then you do anything .. gosh we love our coupons.
If anyone does the Johnson & Johnson deal (Spend $15, Get $5 Off Your Next Order), could you please let me know whether it’s working off shelf price? Also, if you happen to know whether the deal is rolling, that would be great, too.

I just tried it at the Shoprite near my mom’s house in Laurel Springs, NJ and it didn’t work on shelf prices. But I always have a problem with something when I go to that store – either the coupons don’t scan, don’t double or they don’t think the IP coupon is legit! I only stopped in there b/c I was checking on my parents’ house while they’re away. When I returned everything I told CS why and she said it always goes off of sale price. I said that’s not the case with my store in Brooklawn or the ones I use near my office in Mount Laurel. She just shrugged her shoulders. I got my coupons back so I’ll let you know if it works in my regular store in a few hours. I bought the Bengay, Neosporin and Visine. Double checked that all the shelf prices were the same as my calculations… came to $15.07 before coupons and $4.67 after. I also have a 4 transaction rolling deal with the $5 cat so I’ll let you know if that pans out also. I’m so glad my store has self check out!
Wow! I have to say that I am shocked and this has never happened to me at my Shoprite before. Their deals have always been based on shelf prices. Not only was it not based on shelf pricing, but it also did not take with sale prices after coupons! I tried once as I mentioned above and returned them when it didn’t work. I had a back up plan to get the sale price total over $15 and then used my coupons to get it down to $6 and change and that didn’t work. I returned them a second time and left empty handed! Ugghh, oh well. You win some you lose some!

I definitely won’t be trying this one, especially if it’s based on the after coupon price. I had a problem today too on one of the deals in Warwick NY. CS told me it doesn’t work on shelf price, that it’s the sale price and after coupons. I said in the passed it worked on shelf price and coupons didn’t matter. She disagreed. Said it always worked that way, but I know it didn’t. It’s one of the stores that I always go to. I think they are getting stricter and changing the registers to calculate differently now. I had to return my items too.
I went today & I didn’t get the $5 catalina & I had a long day at work & I didn’t feel like going to customer service, so I paid $2.44 OOP for (4) Stayfree & (1) Visine…..

C, go to Shoprite’s website (shoprite(dot)mywebgrocer(dot)com, register your PricePlus card. Then you need to sign up for Family Rewards under Online Services. After you are registered, it will print on your receipt how many Family Points you have and when the next redemption period ends. There are a lot of brands that participate, it can really add up!
Is everyone’s expiration different? My points say they expire Aug 25th. Does that mean I have until the 25th to redeem them and my next couple trips will at to it? Or does it mean I better hurry up and redeem them because that’s what I earned during a different period? LOL Hope this question makes sense!!!
You had till 7/28 to accumulate the points….you can redeem them till 8/25…meaning you redeem them and starting your next visit with your card the money will come off(if you choose the money option).
Starting on 7/29 a new cycle has started so you are now accumulating till the end of the next cycle 10/27/2012….you will be able to redeem them starting as early as 8/26 till 11/24/2012.

My Shoprite flyer says that manufacturer’s coupons can not be used with the catalina deals? Anyone else see this and has tried using the coupons in conjunction with the catalina deals?
Karl (and Tiffany), it says manufacturer’s “offers” cannot be combined, not manufacturer’s coupons. For example, both the Nestle and ConAgra deals are Buy 10, Get $3. You cannot combine these offers by buying 5 Nestle items and 5 ConAgra items and expect to get the $3. HTH!

i got them w/in three days of requesting them online, so if you did it today, you’d get them in time.
there’s a .50/1 that triples in the package they send you.
it is limit one per transaction, but still $2.88 for two of them minus $1.50 isn’t bad!
Ashley, you asked when they are valid “from”. In case you didn’t mean the expiration date on them, which was provided, they are valid to be used immediately. I did the Glade deal and a few other $3 deals this morning and turned around and used them in another transaction to buy my husband’s meat and cheese for his lunches this week! HTH too!

Also, not sure if I missed it above, but my Shoprite in Rockaway, NJ flyer says if you do 3 dollar deals you get a coupon for $5 off school supplies. I just finished shopping, did 3 deals, and got the coupon. There are lots of cheap school supplies now so a good deal.

Funny things couponing can bring together. My 14 year old son has had open heart surgery and we are tracking when he’ll need his second – probably 5 years awAy if lucky. Today I did the Visine/Stayfree deal and the cat did not print. CS printed it for me. Also I noticed there was a sign by the Sobe that said Buy 10 Get $10 Unilever Deal. So I gave it a try and again, no cat. CS also made good on that.
Anyone else having trouble with cats printing today?
No shelf prices involved. It was buy 10 Unilever products, Get $10.00. I did it again at another Shoprite which had the Sobe priced at $1.09 each, so I purchased 10 and again the cat did NOT print. CS printed it without any problems because the labels for the deal were all up in the Sobe aisle. HTH!
FYI – I did this a couple time yesterday as well, prior to basically being called a liar, and treated very rudely at one store. I won’t get into all the details but, they are having the Sobe pulled off the website. It was an error in that it was originally going to be part of the deal however, once they thought back to the last Sobe dollar days fiasco, they decided to pull it. Evidently not all systems were updated resulting in tags being put out, but CATS not printing. 800 SR Cust. Svc. Supervisor was quite friendly by the way, kudos to them.
Can someone who has been to SR today and done any of the Dollar Days Deals please tell me the expiration on there Catalina print out. I am going away from 8/4 – 8/12, if they expire in that time frame I will have to pass on some good deals. You know you are a coupon addict when you are annoyed that your vacation is interfering with your couponing!
I did three of the dollar days sales today and got the cats for two and my 5.00 off school stuff (for having done three) but my 5.00 off cat for Johnson and Johnson I didn’t get. Do I go back to ShopRite with that receipt? I worked really hard on all of those deals and was really disappointed when I got home and saw the mistake. Also where is the Allegra 5.00 coupon? I am in South New Jersey and did not find it today
Double check your items & deal to be sure you have the correct item, size, quantity, etc. Also, just incase you did make a mistake and don’t realize it, bring along your items with receipt. Explain to CS you bought XXX items that equalled a shelf price of $X.XX and the $5.00 cat didn’t print. They should make good on it. My cats didn’t print at all today and CS printed them out for me. I did the Kimberly Clark buy 5 get $5 and my cat didn’t print. I got 3 Scott 12pk toilet paper & 2 Kotex. I had to go to customer service & they printed it no problem for me. Just a heads up. Also – the White Plains NY Shoprite circular has an extra super coupon on the front page for $10 off $50 spent.
Just did the dollars days in MD based on shelf prices and worked for me:). Although the j&j cat didn’t print and CS asked me to call the Catalina folks to get my $5 cat. Hope that helps

Your Family Rewards will come off first (and I think the total $16 will come off at one time)-so the balance will need to be more than $50 to use your Baby Bucks on that order. Maybe split up your order? I always make sure to use the Baby Bucks first before applying any other manufacturer coupons-the register will not take it off even if the balance started at more then $50. The Gold Points and BB are 2 totally different promotions so there shouldn’t be a problem using them in the same transaction.
Brooklawn Shoprite Shoppers: There are coupons on Target’s website that you can use at Shoprite this week for some sale items. Remember you can use competitor coupons now! For example, Danimals Smoothies are on sale for 2.00 and there are $1.00 off coupons on target’s website making them a buck!

Shari, check to see if your list is just shrunk at the bottom of your screen. That has happened to me. I reduced it instead of closing it, so then I couldn’t print the additional “new” list. Good luck.
Is anyone else having problems with the cashiers in the Shelton CT store? Yesterday my cashier manually undoubled the coupons that said do not double and inspected every coupon as though they were fakes. For the past month or two many of the cashiers have been really difficult, asking where I got the coupons, are the ones I printed out real, making faces when I hand them over. I always try to go early sunday morning by 8am before the store gets crowded. If anyone shops at the Stratford CT Shoprite can you tell me if the cashiers are as difficult there? I love couponing but I don’t want to feel like a criminal when I go shopping anymore.

I think it’s going to be $8.99/lb and the clerk Ryan (who is super nice and helpful) told me that reg. price is $14.99!
Has ANYONE done a J&J/Healthy Essentials Cat deal that WORKED?? Most reports I’ve read say it did not work for them. Most included Visine in their transactions. Perhaps its just the Visine, or certain varieties that don’t work. I’m interested in doing with Stayfree, Precise, maybe Listerine and Visine. I can’t find the new Ben Gay $3 coupon in my inserts (7/29 RP). There was a $3 Precise coupon in the 5-6 SS, but it expires today, 7/31.

Marcia, I bought one Stayfree and four Visine for contacts and it did not work. I did not bother to try to get them to print it since I paid so little anyway.
I’ve done several J&J Cat deals with no problems at all. The first couple of times I did (4) Stayfree & (2) Neosporin (I had the $3/1 Q, now exp). The last few I did (4) Stayfree & (2) J&J Baby Wash. The Cats also rolled for me with no problem. (I am in central CT)

can anyone tell me if, in order to get the $5 CAT you get for doing 3 dollar days transactions all have to be done at one time? or does it track on your receipt? Colgate coupon amounts are regional. I’ve read that California and sometimes Florida inserts get higher amounts than we do around here. I only get .35, too. AND Do Not Double. boo hooo
The Oscar Mayer Cold Cuts that are on sale are the Deli Fresh, not the Selects. I had a coupon for Free Oscar Mayer Selects so I noticed the price difference between these and the Deli Fresh that are on sale for $2.99. I’m assuming the $1/1 OM Selects coupon will not work on the Deli Fresh? Or has anyone tried it yet?

I just got back from Warminster Shop Rite. This is my 3rd trip there due to the triple coupons. Only on this trip did I have any problems. The manager saw my stack of coupons and came over & reprimanded for not giving them to the cashier prior to his ringing up my order. I was trying to remove the coupons from my stack for items I did not purchase. Then he proceeded to go through them and say that the cashier was going to have to validate that every item was purchased. The cashier was super nice! The manager needs a new job. I took this abuse then at the end of my transaction my catalinas did not print so I went to customer service. My very unfriendly manager followed me like I was a criminal. Then customer service told me that because of the coupons I did not qualify for the catalinas. I kindly informed her that there was no dollar amount on the Dollar Days deals, only quantity of items purchased and she still refused to print my cats for me! Why have specials if you are going to be rude to people?
Please tell us what you bought for the J&J cat deal that WORKED!!!! Reports that it works are RARE!!! We’ve been trying to figure out if a certain item is the problem. Its been 5 days and they still haven’t fixed this so it works on all items! This is terrible….

Manager should be reported both to SR corp and Catalina. Call Catalina to get your Cat’s if they won’t manually print for you. If you bought the qualifying items, there is no reason you should not have gotten them. Using coupons does not interfere with Catalina’s printing.
This week is a nightmare for Catalina deals.
I did the J&J deal and received my $5 catalina at the register! I bought 2 Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleansers and 1 Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub. I used 3/$2 coupons. For me it worked on sale price meeting the $15 requirement then coupons taken off from there. So, each item was $5.00 (sale price) $5×3=$15 minus $6(coupons), paid $9 got $5 cat. So for me $1.33 each was a good price. Plus it was actually half that because I used a $10 cat from the GC deal last week.
Is anyone else a shopper at the Mount Pocono Shop-Rite and, if so, are you experiencing a dramatic change in attitude and new, strict and even invalid couponing policies? Wahhhhhhhhhhh.

yes I completely agree, maybe we should help Cindy out with this kind of stuff. just like the double cats & other unadvertised deals we know about first. also just a helpful note.I use the calender in my cell phone for daily alerts to any ecb’s, rr or catalina’s that are going to expire withing the next 2 days. as well as birthday etc. even if I need paper I’ll set my calender alarm to remind me to pick some up the next day. isnt it sad when you have more coupon information on your phone for alerts then you do anything .. gosh we love our coupons.

I just tried it at the Shoprite near my mom’s house in Laurel Springs, NJ and it didn’t work on shelf prices. But I always have a problem with something when I go to that store – either the coupons don’t scan, don’t double or they don’t think the IP coupon is legit! I only stopped in there b/c I was checking on my parents’ house while they’re away. When I returned everything I told CS why and she said it always goes off of sale price. I said that’s not the case with my store in Brooklawn or the ones I use near my office in Mount Laurel. She just shrugged her shoulders. I got my coupons back so I’ll let you know if it works in my regular store in a few hours. I bought the Bengay, Neosporin and Visine. Double checked that all the shelf prices were the same as my calculations… came to $15.07 before coupons and $4.67 after. I also have a 4 transaction rolling deal with the $5 cat so I’ll let you know if that pans out also. I’m so glad my store has self check out!
Wow! I have to say that I am shocked and this has never happened to me at my Shoprite before. Their deals have always been based on shelf prices. Not only was it not based on shelf pricing, but it also did not take with sale prices after coupons! I tried once as I mentioned above and returned them when it didn’t work. I had a back up plan to get the sale price total over $15 and then used my coupons to get it down to $6 and change and that didn’t work. I returned them a second time and left empty handed! Ugghh, oh well. You win some you lose some!

I had a problem today too on one of the deals in Warwick NY. CS told me it doesn’t work on shelf price, that it’s the sale price and after coupons. I said in the passed it worked on shelf price and coupons didn’t matter. She disagreed. Said it always worked that way, but I know it didn’t. It’s one of the stores that I always go to. I think they are getting stricter and changing the registers to calculate differently now. I had to return my items too.
I went today & I didn’t get the $5 catalina & I had a long day at work & I didn’t feel like going to customer service, so I paid $2.44 OOP for (4) Stayfree & (1) Visine…..

C, go to Shoprite’s website (shoprite(dot)mywebgrocer(dot)com, register your PricePlus card. Then you need to sign up for Family Rewards under Online Services. After you are registered, it will print on your receipt how many Family Points you have and when the next redemption period ends. There are a lot of brands that participate, it can really add up!
Is everyone’s expiration different? My points say they expire Aug 25th. Does that mean I have until the 25th to redeem them and my next couple trips will at to it? Or does it mean I better hurry up and redeem them because that’s what I earned during a different period? LOL Hope this question makes sense!!!
You had till 7/28 to accumulate the points….you can redeem them till 8/25…meaning you redeem them and starting your next visit with your card the money will come off(if you choose the money option).
Starting on 7/29 a new cycle has started so you are now accumulating till the end of the next cycle 10/27/2012….you will be able to redeem them starting as early as 8/26 till 11/24/2012.

My Shoprite flyer says that manufacturer’s coupons can not be used with the catalina deals? Anyone else see this and has tried using the coupons in conjunction with the catalina deals?
Karl (and Tiffany), it says manufacturer’s “offers” cannot be combined, not manufacturer’s coupons. For example, both the Nestle and ConAgra deals are Buy 10, Get $3. You cannot combine these offers by buying 5 Nestle items and 5 ConAgra items and expect to get the $3. HTH!

I did the Glade deal and a few other $3 deals this morning and turned around and used them in another transaction to buy my husband’s meat and cheese for his lunches this week! HTH too!

Also, not sure if I missed it above, but my Shoprite in Rockaway, NJ flyer says if you do 3 dollar deals you get a coupon for $5 off school supplies. I just finished shopping, did 3 deals, and got the coupon. There are lots of cheap school supplies now so a good deal.

Funny things couponing can bring together. My 14 year old son has had open heart surgery and we are tracking when he’ll need his second – probably 5 years awAy if lucky. No shelf prices involved. It was buy 10 Unilever products, Get $10.00. I did it again at another Shoprite which had the Sobe priced at $1.09 each, so I purchased 10 and again the cat did NOT print. CS printed it without any problems because the labels for the deal were all up in the Sobe aisle. HTH!
FYI – I did this a couple time yesterday as well, prior to basically being called a liar, and treated very rudely at one store. I won’t get into all the details but, they are having the Sobe pulled off the website. It was an error in that it was originally going to be part of the deal however, once they thought back to the last Sobe dollar days fiasco, they decided to pull it. Evidently not all systems were updated resulting in tags being put out, but CATS not printing. 800 SR Cust. Svc. Supervisor was quite friendly by the way, kudos to them.

Can someone who has been to SR today and done any of the Dollar Days Deals please tell me the expiration on there Catalina print out. I am going away from 8/4 – 8/12, if they expire in that time frame I will have to pass on some good deals. You know you are a coupon addict when you are annoyed that your vacation is interfering with your couponing!

In CT, there is a super coupon that makes the All detergent $1.88 (with a $25 purchase) – so with coupon, just .38 each.
Also, heads up, the Hebrew National coupon says the promotion is over.
I did three of the dollar days sales today and got the cats for two and my 5.00 off school stuff (for having done three) but my 5.00 off cat for Johnson and Johnson I didn’t get. Double check your items & deal to be sure you have the correct item, size, quantity, etc. Also, just incase you did make a mistake and don’t realize it, bring along your items with receipt. Explain to CS you bought XXX items that equalled a shelf price of $X.XX and the $5.00 cat didn’t print. They should make good on it. My cats didn’t print at all today and CS printed them out for me. Good Luck!

I did the Kimberly Clark buy 5 get $5 and my cat didn’t print. I got 3 Scott 12pk toilet paper & 2 Kotex. I had to go to customer service & they printed it no problem for me. Just a heads up. Your Family Rewards will come off first (and I think the total $16 will come off at one time)-so the balance will need to be more than $50 to use your Baby Bucks on that order. Maybe split up your order? I always make sure to use the Baby Bucks first before applying any other manufacturer coupons-the register will not take it off even if the balance started at more then $50. The Gold Points and BB are 2 totally different promotions so there shouldn’t be a problem using them in the same transaction.

Brooklawn Shoprite Shoppers: There are coupons on Target’s website that you can use at Shoprite this week for some sale items. Remember you can use competitor coupons now! For example, Danimals Smoothies are on sale for 2.00 and there are $1.00 off coupons on target’s website making them a buck!

I had the same problem printing my list on Monday. Eventually it did print. Thank goodness! However, every time I tried to email it to myself I was never successful.

Shari, check to see if your list is just shrunk at the bottom of your screen. That has happened to me. I reduced it instead of closing it, so then I couldn’t print the additional “new” list. Good luck.
Is anyone else having problems with the cashiers in the Shelton CT store? Yesterday my cashier manually undoubled the coupons that said do not double and inspected every coupon as though they were fakes. For the past month or two many of the cashiers have been really difficult, asking where I got the coupons, are the ones I printed out real, making faces when I hand them over. I always try to go early sunday morning by 8am before the store gets crowded. If anyone shops at the Stratford CT Shoprite can you tell me if the cashiers are as difficult there? I love couponing but I don’t want to feel like a criminal when I go shopping anymore.

I’ve been shopping the Shelton store on Thursday nights (also not crowded) for almost a year and they are pretty good there. Perhaps Sunday morning just isn’t the time to shop? Shelton is one of my preferred stores – the managers have been super nice about everything.

Hey guys on Aug. 3rd and 4th starting at 10 am the Niskyuna shoprite is going to have a whole swordfish pup on display, cut to order and samples being prepaid by the seafood manager himself. I think it’s going to be $8.99/lb and the clerk Ryan (who is super nice and helpful) told me that reg. price is $14.99!
Has ANYONE done a J&J/Healthy Essentials Cat deal that WORKED?? Most reports I’ve read say it did not work for them. Most included Visine in their transactions. Perhaps its just the Visine, or certain varieties that don’t work. I’m interested in doing with Stayfree, Precise, maybe Listerine and Visine. I can’t find the new Ben Gay $3 coupon in my inserts (7/29 RP). There was a $3 Precise coupon in the 5-6 SS, but it expires today, 7/31.

Marcia, I bought one Stayfree and four Visine for contacts and it did not work. I did not bother to try to get them to print it since I paid so little anyway.
I’ve done several J&J Cat deals with no problems at all. The first couple of times I did (4) Stayfree & (2) Neosporin (I had the $3/1 Q, now exp). The last few I did (4) Stayfree & (2) J&J Baby Wash. The Cats also rolled for me with no problem. (I am in central CT)
I purchased 2 Ben Gays and 2 Johnson baby powders and it worked in Wallingford CT

Colgate coupon amounts are regional. I’ve read that California and sometimes Florida inserts get higher amounts than we do around here. I only get .35, too. AND Do Not Double. boo hooo
The Oscar Mayer Cold Cuts that are on sale are the Deli Fresh, not the Selects. I had a coupon for Free Oscar Mayer Selects so I noticed the price difference between these and the Deli Fresh that are on sale for $2.99. I’m assuming the $1/1 OM Selects coupon will not work on the Deli Fresh? Or has anyone tried it yet?

I just got back from Warminster Shop Rite. This is my 3rd trip there due to the triple coupons. Only on this trip did I have any problems. The manager saw my stack of coupons and came over & reprimanded for not giving them to the cashier prior to his ringing up my order. I was trying to remove the coupons from my stack for items I did not purchase. Then he proceeded to go through them and say that the cashier was going to have to validate that every item was purchased. The cashier was super nice! The manager needs a new job. I took this abuse then at the end of my transaction my catalinas did not print so I went to customer service. My very unfriendly manager followed me like I was a criminal. Then customer service told me that because of the coupons I did not qualify for the catalinas. I kindly informed her that there was no dollar amount on the Dollar Days deals, only quantity of items purchased and she still refused to print my cats for me! Why have specials if you are going to be rude to people?

Manager should be reported both to SR corp and Catalina. Call Catalina to get your Cat’s if they won’t manually print for you. If you bought the qualifying items, there is no reason you should not have gotten them. Using coupons does not interfere with Catalina’s printing.
This week is a nightmare for Catalina deals.

Butterball Turkey Bacon not on sale
It was on sale in Warminster.
I did the J&J deal and received my $5 catalina at the register! I bought 2 Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleansers and 1 Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub. I used 3/$2 coupons. For me it worked on sale price meeting the $15 requirement then coupons taken off from there. So, each item was $5.00 (sale price) $5×3=$15 minus $6(coupons), paid $9 got $5 cat. So for me $1.33 each was a good price. Plus it was actually half that because I used a $10 cat from the GC deal last week.
FYI the $5 back to school CAT worked on any order. I used it towards meats today and the $5 came off no problem.
Is anyone else a shopper at the Mount Pocono Shop-Rite and, if so, are you experiencing a dramatic change in attitude and new, strict and even invalid couponing policies? Wahhhhhhhhhhh.
