Sorry. I meant I got a rain check last week for the $1.88 Lucky Charms. This week if you buy 4 Lucky Charms you get a Cat for free milk. I didn’t know if because I was using a rain check, with a way better sales price, if I would actually get the Catalin. Or if the register would just have no way of knowing the difference. I’ve never done a rain check before, so I have no idea if there are any restrictions when it comes to mixing the rain check price with current weekly ad deals.
Rain checks are manual things so…if there is a cat on something this week. You should have no problem stacking a rain check price with this weeks cats.
I know that is one reason some peeps go to great lengths to get rain checks:
1) In hopes a better coupon comes along.
2) Waiting till there is space in their stock pile / freezer etc.
3) Hoping a Cat comes along on a deal where they have a rain check.
I very rarely go to those lengths but I am only Semi-hard core
Great deals this week. Unfortunately I do NOT have the colgate coupon, so no free tooth paste. Also I got ANOTHER $1/1 Renuzit Fresh Accents Air Freshner in today’s paper! I have two computers at my house, so that makes for a total of 5 FREE air freshners! Happy dance! And I’m getting 8 FREE yogurts! (4 for .30 and 4 for the .40) I’m shopping tonight, check out my blog for my trip later today!
Thanks again for posting all of these great match ups! I wouldn’t be able to do it without you!
This was a very targeted shopping trip..not a general one…but I am happy with the results.
Acme has to be the most coupon friendly store there is.
12 Renuzit Fresh Accents Air Freshener * $1.00 – $1.00 coupon x 12 = Free
20 Kleenex Facial Tissue Box * $1.00 – .60/1 x 20 = MM (told Cashier they said it would be a pain to manually over ride) (Confession Time – As soon as a I saw a .60/1 coupon on Kleenex I bought 20 of them on Ebay for 2.50. They were in Spanish but worked just fine.)
With the overage I was at zero. Thank you very much and walked out the door. He even gave me some extra game pieces for being honest about the overage on the Kleenex.
So with cost of buying coupons from Ebay…cost about 2 dollars
Now keep in mind…this was in ONE transaction. With all 35 coupons.
I made sure to buy various varieties and I cleared no shelves (or even came remotely close) in the making of this fantastic targeted trip.
Double dip for Crystal Light, very happy about this. I went and bought 3 and got back two $2.00 cats, plus I used three .50/1 coupons. Great deal even without the coupons as me and my boyfriend go through a lot of Crystal Light.
Thanks !!! Love acme!
I also got a $0.55 cents/1 Keebler cinnamon roll from the 7/29/12 redplum. They are included in the $1.99 sale making them .90 cents each!!
I have a rain check for 4 boxes of Lucky Charms, how is that going to play out with the Free Milk Catalina?
i don’t know if it will print out if you use the catalina, but customer service should be able to help you – if not Catalina marketing.
Fine print on all Catalina’s = deal is on stock items for duration of time defined in offer.
You may get a nice CR but in general Rain Checks = crap for Cat Deals.
Which is why I, like most harder core peeps, tend to be the doors upon opening for Cat deals…for those items we really need.
Now, that being said, after you build your stockpile there isn’t that much you really need if you plan right.
Now the weeks I get this semi-desperate call / email from my local food pantry on the other hand..make for a very grumpy couponer on Sunday.

I just wanted to let you know, ALL of the Yoplait Yogurts are on sale for 50 cents! Not just the simplait!
