Rite Aid Load2Card

Rite Aid: Load2Card Feature for Wellness+ Members

Some of you may have heard that beginning on September 2 Rite Aid will begin a new program called Rite Aid Load2Card for Wellness+ Members. Here are some of the key notes on this new program.

  • +UP Rewards will be automatically  be loaded to your card the following day that you redeem them at 6am
  • +UP Rewards will remain valid for 14 days
  • There is an option to have your +UP Rewards continue to be printed on the bottom of your receipt
  • You will be notified on your receipt if a +UP Reward was loaded onto your card – Manage your +Up Rewards on your Load2Card account
  • The highest value +UP Reward will be redeemed first

For us this means that we will not be able to roll +UP Rewards into another transaction that same day. We would have to wait until the next day to use our +UP Rewards. For more information you can take a look at the Load2Card FAQ.

  • rite aid lost my couponing resepect when they changed the coupon policy last year. now this…. smh

  • If you choose to have them print on the bottom of your receipt, why can’t you use them right away?

    • Their website says printed up rewards still will not be activated until 6am the next day in order to keep customers running back to their store.

  • I’ve heard that if you have your up rewards loaded to your card they are taken off first at next transaction and may not leave room for all yor coupons.

  • I’m done with RiteAid. This is the final straw.

  • I too am done with Rite Aid. Have boycotted since I found out about this.

  • how can you opt out? I looked all over their website and I could not find anything. thanks.

  • I was 99% done with Rite Aid before, so now I’m really done for good. Every time I go there (which is rare) the cashiers mess up my transactions (and I don’t do complicated transactions). Last time I was there, the cashier scanned the wrong part of my coupon then shoved it in the slot of her register before I could tell her that she didn’t even scan it. Then she was too dumb to explain to the snotty manager what she had done. not worth the headache! Sorry to vent! LOL!!!!!

  • If you go to their website – do contact us – give them your info and they can OPT YOU OUT of the ups on your card!

  • Let me get this straight. If I earn an UP on 1/1 I can’t use it until 6 am 1/2? And no matter when I come back to the store, I only have 14 days from the date of ACTIVATION (1/1) to use it? To make my question more clear, if I can’t come back to the store until 1/15, I’ve lost the value of the UP?

    • Oops…I meant to say 14 days from 1/2 in the above illustration meaning if I don’t come back to the store until 1/17, I’ve lost the UP value?

      • Yes, exactly.

        • Ugh. Thanks. I rarely shop at RA due to the problems people have mentioned but now I have even less of a reason. Say what you want about RRs at Walgreens, at least their policy is easier to understand and more consistent.

  • I can’t get the site to load without crashing my browser. I heard you can use chat online or ask the cashier not to load them to your card. You still have to wait until next day to use them.

  • I called 1-800-riteaid and gave them my card number and was able to opt out that way.

  • I guess I’m the only one who is fine with this LOL. less paper for me to worry about. I’ve forgotten about UPR and ECB from CVS that I’ve accumulated, which have then expired. So this makes it so much easier for me. I hope they make it so we can upload the Video Values to our card also, just like how Shoprite has their ecoupons.

    • I loose the paper ones also but my thing is how would i remember that its on my card at leat the paper ones its in your face and you see it.. THey should make somthing email you when they are about to expire or somthing …thee has to be a bettter way to make it easier on everyone.

      • I agree. I think they want us to forget about them and not use them! LOL!! I also don’t like how they get to pick the order that we have to use them. I have times where my oldest is a $5, but I want to make a small purchase and only want to use my $1 one. I don’t like that I now have to make a larger purchase or forfeit the balance b/c the $5 will come off first.

  • Im nota greedy person so this may work for me, we will see.

    • I dont think its a matter of being greedy, its just why should I have to run back to the store the next day if I earned the rewards. Its not a problem for me since i work next to one, its just more of an inconvenience.

  • Cvs just keeps making things easier and Rite Aid keeps making things harder.

  • I guess I’m one of the few that don’t mind the new policy. You can call them on Sep. 3 to opt out of the load to card and continue receiving printed UPR’s. You can also text rite aid (have to find the number) and they will text you the amount of UPR’s you have in your account. You can also look online. I always do one transaction at the register since I always have UP rewards to roll from previous weeks. Maybe now I won’t have to rush to the store on Sunday morning bc someone has 3 different cards and trying to buy all of the items on the shelf. I actually like rite aid for their generous limits. CVS always seems to have a limit of 1 or 2 but Rite aid is usually more generous with 3-4 limits. If you roll your UP rewards every week or every other week and slowly build your stockpile then this shouldn’t be much of a hassle for anyone.

    • I agree about not needing to rush out. I stopped shopping Rite Aid for 8 months b/c someone was clearing all the stores of every deal.

I am concerned of them automatically coming off b/c my whole household uses it. My husband may stop at work, My mother forgets to coupon so she enjoys the 20% and then I do the deals. I would hate for the UPS to be used on their transaction. :(

      • I stopped shopping there too for the same reason every time I went into the store and I would go to 3 or 4 and come out with nothing because the merchandise I wanted would be gone, probably because people use multiple cards and transactions.

  • I think my Rite Aid Shopping are forever changed! I shop Rite Aid frequently and do very well rolling my UPS. I am not a shelf clearer and often when i go to get something on my list it’s not there so i have to improvise. It just makes it harder for us to maximize our savings.

  • I called RiteAid and opted out. They were happy to change my account.

  • I would urge everyone to opt out. I did so in the store. The problem I experienced is that the Up Rewards were applied FIRST before manufacturers coupons, which left me with too small a total for the manufacturers to be applied to. To resolve, I purchased a case of water so the coupons for my other items could be used.

  • i’ve had nothing but problem’s with Rite Aid…I don’t go there no more not worth the stress here in NY

  • I will say RA, for me, has the best prices for what I buy. CVS & Walgreens are much hight 1-3 bucks However, as loyal as I am, after loosing 16 bucks I must rethink this store. Everyone is right; their stocking of sale items stinks. I don’t think it is people cleaning shelves (in my area) I had to beg to get certain N. Made products in the store. Mind you I didn’t KNOW about the paperless UP Rewards….After reading all these complaints about having no control over which $$$$$ amount, than no able to use Mfgr’s. cpns I really CAN’T in all HONESTY support the actions of RA NOR will I continue to be the GREAT customer that I am. Sorry RA another customer gone by the wayside.

  • At the store you can ask the cashier to opt you out of the ups loading to your card so they print.
