Thanks Christine & everyone else who reported this deal!

There is also a $2 Video Values coupon, and they applied all 3 coupons. $4 overage! Unbelievable
!!!
The in ad coupon says manufacturer’s coupon can you still use the facebook one with it?
For future reference, you can not use a video values coupon with an in-ad coupon.
For those concerned with the ethics of couponing and making sure that everyone follows the rules, please know that this scenario is against RiteAid’s coupon policy, which states, in part:
“More than one coupon can be used on the purchase of a single item under the following conditions: o All coupons match the item being purchased. o The total of the coupons is equal to or less than the selling price of the item before sales tax.”
-and-
“No more than one “48” Rite Aid Valuable coupon, one “49” Rite Aid Manufacturer coupon, and one “5” Manufacturer coupon can be used on a single item.” In this case, both the in-ad coupon and the VV coupons are ’49′ coupons and cannot be used together.
So, the short version is that the cashier should adjust the in-ad coupon down making this free, but this should not be a moneymaker.
Thank you.
Which is why it states in the post “Note, some stores might adjust the coupons down so this just becomes FREE, however some are reporting they overage was applied to the rest of their purchase”. Thank you for your input but we follow all coupon policies here and always do.
I’ve noticed that a lot of the rite aid in-ad coupons state manufacturer’s coupons on them not store coupon…in which case you can’t use both. Is that the case here?
Although they say manufacturer coupons, they are store coupons. You can tell by looking at the barcode. If it starts with an RC, it’s a store coupon.
Thank you so much for the info! Some cashiers have accepted both and others fight with me, but I had no real argument, so I just let go. One of my favorite things about your site is how it is all about honest Couponing. Thank you again for everything!
I noticed on the FB coupon that it says cannot be combined with another offer. Has anyone actually had success combining?
Thanks-
I used the Facebook coupon and the in-ad coupon yesterday with no problem. Make sure they scan the Facebook coupon first and then adjust down the in-ad coupon (not the other way around) because the $5 facebook coupon will count towards your point total, whereas the in-ad coupon won’t.
I did this deal 5 times. I used the overage towards boxes of Kleenex that were $2.49/bogo. After 5 i got a RR for $2. So 5 hair dyes and 10 boxes of kleenex for 40 cents.
Did this deal today, worked fine, did not try to use RA values coupon, just FB and one from paper. As someone posted, I gave FB coupon first ad then paper one. MM applied to other items.
Since I printed 2 coupons, can I buy both at the same time– making sure to give them the FB coupons first followed by the in ad coupon? Also, could i buy my moms at the same time also, or would I need to do each in its own transaction? Thanks!
My rite aid gave me the overage so I was able to get a bag of goldfish for my son, 4 hair dyes and 2 dozen eggs! Woohoo!
Upset. Went to Rite Aid tried to use both coupons they wouldnt use both just in store ad. Will try again.
worked well for me, plus did 2 more transactions with samy fat foam in ad coupon, and peelie for $2 off paid $3.11 out of pocket got 3 fat foams, 5 sierra mist 2 liters (they were $.99 each and had $1.00 off coupon off each), and 2 20 oz pepsi’s
I think that it depends on the store. I went to one early the week and got one. The cashier girl scanned both and used the overage for milk. I went back again last night with the same cashier girl. She just refused to do that. She said she can’t use both coupons. cox there’s overage. I said can you adjust it? She said no. Only 1. So I left. It just so funny that it’s the same cashier. I think their store manager catch it refused to do 2 coupons.
I went and did the Samy fat foam last night at my RiteAid. )I also earlier in the week saw that they had Digo dog mini dog bones @ 3.99 and if you purchase 2, you received a $2 EBC.) I did as a few suggested I gave the clerk my $5/1 coupon first, then gave them the Rite Aid in store coupon.
Ended up with the Samy Foam & (2) Dingo dog treats, OOP $3.38 and received back (1) $2 EBC.
I forgot to mention, I received 20% the dingo with my RiteAid Card. Which accounted for the price difference.
I had no luck with the Fat Foam deal in Clark Rite Aid…. the managers would not let me use the manufacturer coupon along with the Rite Aid coupon….So I had to wrote to RiteAid about it…
Dear Rite Aid,
I missed out on a great deal this week because the managers did not know Rite Aid’s coupon policy. I tried to purchase Fat Foam Hair Color this week using the RiteAid $6.00 in-flyer coupon which brought the price down from $8.99 to $2.99. I also had a $5.00 off manufacturer’s coupon to use in conjunction with it so I could get the product for free. The cashier/manager (#48234614) said she could not use the second coupon because it was valued higher than the item’s remaining cost. I asked her to adjust the coupon down or price modify to make it work but she said she was not allowed and “it was not worth losing her job over a few dollars”…. (As though I was asking her to do something illegal which embarrassed me) I pulled out my copy of the Rite Aid coupon policy and pointed out where it says that in the event any item’s selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Rite Aid will accept the coupon for the selling price of the item with no cash back for the overage. I said if that is Rite Aid’s policy, there must be some way to do it. She didn’t know anything about that and made a photocopy of my copy of the policy and said she would look into it. I returned two days later to try to make the purchase while the sale was still on (hoping she found out how to do it in the meantime) but she was not there and a different manager that was there said it could not be done either. I do not know her cashier number but she is easy to spot…she has a little moon tattooed on her forehead, lol. So I missed a great deal because the managers did not know what to do even though it is in the Rite Aid coupon policy.
On another note, I bought six other items that night with the same first cashier/manager and when I got home I noticed that two $3.00 coupons that I had handed over to her were not listed on the receipt and I paid $6 more than I should have…. so I had to go back and stand in line again. She looked at the receipt and saw I was right. She found the two coupons in the drawer but said she had to rescan all the items to correct the problem. So I had to go back out to the car and bring everything back in to correct her mistake.
Sorry this is so long. I usually only have good transactions at my two local Rite Aid stores… I am a weekly shopper/regular customer.
Best Regards,
xxx
UPDATE!! Both of my local Rite Aids would not accept both coupons. So here’s what happened after after I contacted 1800-RiteAid… They told me they are informing the regional manager. Later that day I got a phone call from both store’s head managers saying that I was correct about the coupons and their employees were wrong and will be spoken to about it. One of the managers even said to come in and she will still honor the deal even if the coupons are expired!
