aren`t these new unilever coupons “limit 2″ which stinks because that would be an awesome stockup price !
Great Deal
I just got off the phone with corporate ( they are now a contact in my Phone). I was saying that my E-Coupons never seem to come off. She couldnt look back – why my ZZZZ’s and Bisquick never came off- But said you cannot have a mfg Q and an E Q at the same time. Not Sure IF I Believe Her ??????????? Also Told her How much I LOVED her store !!!
It prints under the product on your receipt (not where the other coupons that come off print at) it will say “TC ECPN [PRODUCT]” and she`s wrong you can use both together
Hi Shari…
Same deal with me… My eCoupons refuse to come off. I got off phone with Corporate and they said you can’t stack.
Funny when I went to another shoprite about 10 miles down the road they work with no problems.
Not sure if they have a checkbox that franchise owners can check or uncheck? Anyway…ecoupons never come off for me. That includes cellfire etc as well.
I have noticed that when I have a manufac coupon the ecoupons never come off.hhhuuummmm
Having a manufacturer coupon should not be an issue with the ecoupons coming off. When the cashier hits total at the end of scanning your items and before scanning manufacturer coupons, your ecoupons should have already been deducted. You will see the deductions on the screen.
Cindy I was having issues w/ecoupons until the cashier explained some of them won’t come off until your order is totaled. every since I’ve asked them to sub total 9total0 my order before scanning coupons every ecoupon has worked w/no problems
There’s also a $.50/1 Suave Deodorant product printable coupon http://www.makinglifebetter.com you can use too.
I just ‘love’ all these people ‘calling corporate’. Leave them out of the equation!! Stop bringing this loophole to their attention!! Let’s take a LRWC reader poll…what do YOU think?….
I agree.
I think its a question of is the Ecoupon or a manu coupon?
Loophole? It either is supposed to work or not. It is either right or its wrong.
I want to know the rules I am living under and then try to abide by them.
Do you try to cut off other store’s logos on coupons, do you KNOW you buying a different item and try to pass off a coupon, do you knowingly use a coupon on a BOGO deal even though you know it is the store’s policy to not allow it. Do you do multiple Cat deals when it clear says one per family? Do you buy more than a limit on sale items when it says per day or per family?
All of these are STRECHING (some would say abusing) the system…there are TONS of ways to abuse the system, do you take a Cat when the deal specifically says on sale price or after coupons yet it still prints out?
Or lets take it a step of two futher…do you take peelies off products at one store to use at another? Do you take your neighbors coupon from his paper before he gets it? Do you copy coupons when you don’t see any anti-copy stuff on one?
Some of these activities are just unethical..some are illegal and some are just grey areas.
As far as I understand the rules (and I am no expert) eCoupons are supposed to stack with paper coupons. If this isn’t right then I will not fight for it when it dosen’t happen. If this is true then SavingStar should also not work…
As for you Matthew… I take it the stacking works for you and you don’t want anyone to ruin it for you? We *think* we are entitled to the same thing you are getting. If someone tells us consistently we are not…and that no one should get ecoupon and paper coupon stacking..then I would not fight.
I only fight when I think I am following the rules and then someone changes them on me or dosen’t follow the rules. Example: Walmart telling me they will not Price Match and accept a Manufacturer coupon. Or a clerk telling me internet coupons are all fakes and they don’t accept them.
Damn Alan calm down. No everyone is as prefect as you. I don’t think most people from LRWC does all those things.
Layna…
All I am saying is that most of us bend the rules… Me included.
Being fairly new I see all the deals here and I think “hey I want that deal!” then I go..spend the time and effort to get the ecoupon and the paper coupon …go to the store and it does not work for me. I get frustrated and upset.
I am told it should work. So…I reach out to someone who is supposed to know the rules (both here on the forums and at the offices of the grocery store) but I get told various answers by everyone…
I am just trying to figure out the rules of the game and then get told to be quite and not ruin it for anyone else…
My question is fairly simple… Are we supposed to get the stack or not?
OK Alan, I have a few suggestions for you. I’m not taking sides with anyone, but I had a very difficult time getting ecoupons to work for my account, my parents account (whom I shop for) and for my local food pantry (that I now regularly shop for).
First : You MUST go into your Shoprite account and update ALL of your personal information PLUS your email account. Make sure all fields are filled out. You must update each section separately.
Second : When you add ecoupons to your account make sure you “officially” sign in each time, even if your screen comes up saying you are already signed in. Make sure you sign out when you are done.
Third: Now you are prepared to go shopping! This is the strategic part. YOU must CAREFULLY go over your receipt to see if it came off. It IS NOT listed with your other coupons the ecoupon will show up in “the BODY of your receipt usually directly UNDER the product”. It will have a code of, I think, TC or ECPN or CFIRE (I can’t remember them all, reader Rocky IMO knows this best). ONLY purchase a few items to see if it works, know that if it doesn’t you are willing to return the product, you don’t need a long explanation as to why you are returning it. Be prepared to loose your coupon. This is how we ALL learn this process.
Forth: Success!!! Great!!! HUGE Failure, here is the next step ……. RUN to the next Shoprite in your area (that fully doubles, of course) and see if it works there. HINT: it must be family owned by a DIFFERENT family then the one you were just at.
Last: Ecoupons REALLY need to be looked at as a “BONUS” at checkout. DON’T depend on it, be prepared for it to happen with enough in your cart to cover the overage, but NEVER depend on it. At least I can’t. Pretty much 80% of the time they come off, then there it is ……. it didn’t work.
If you continue to read through the threads you will see a trend when a certain ecoupon is not working, then you can make the decision if you want to try it or not.
For the Future: Have a question about coupons that’s bugging you, bring it here first. There are many really nice people trying to figure out the same things that are willing to take the time and share what has worked for them and what may possibly work for you. Unfortunately, the stores can’t help. We are lucky if they even know what “catalina” is!!! No less how an ecoupon should or should not work.
So, ethics??? Really not going there. You could say that holding onto a coupon for 2 1/2 months in order to match it up with a sale to get the product for free is unethical. That discussion is not what I am posting about at this particular moment. So please, no one beat me up for my ecoupon opinion.
I feel your frustration with the ecoupon at checkout. I get p*ssed too, when it doesn’t work. Please take my advise and try the above, this REALLY did fix MOST of the issues with the accounts I manage. Good Luck to you at your next checkout!! I really do hope you find the update will help, and possibly a new store! Let us know how it all works out!
It sure is FUN when it all comes together at checkout!
Thanks tons! Do appreciate it. Will try again
Simple answer. No, you are not supposed to stack ecoupons with manufacturer coupons. The manufacturers provide ecoupons as an alternative to paper coupons. Ecoupons have been introduced to stop ppl from misusing coupons. The manufacturer wants everyone to buy a product by using 1-2 coupons and if they like the product, the manufacturer expects to make money on your next purchase. However, when someone goes out and buys 100 items for free at the expense of the manufacturer by using paper coupons, not only the mftr loses coupon promotion money, they don’t get the money from a return customer that they expected from coupon promotion. E coupons have been introduced to solve exactly this problem. Ofcouse when something new is introduced, it will have some loopholes which will be corrected eventually. Even though ecoupons are not supposed to be stacked with paper coupons, they currently do for some ppl. Once they find out, they will correct it.
Here is the deal. I am given the information on the Cellfire/ecoupons and savingstar coupon. It is very well know to all parties involved that the deals are posted the way that they are on this site. They have had every opportunity and I have given them every opportunity to let me know if they would prefer I not post it that way. No one has said anything to me except that I can no longer post the use of ecoupons and savingstar coupons (which I do not do anymore). Since all parties are aware of the stacking of the ecoupons with the paper coupons, I will continue to post them the way that I do unless I am told otherwise.
I shop at many different ShopRite stores and, except for 1 occasion, I have never had a problem with my ecoupons coming off. My suggestion is, to check all the information on your price plus card to be sure that the phone number you may use at checkout (if you forget your card) is the same one that is registered on your price plus card and that it is the same one you have registered on the cellfire site and the shoprite ecoupon site.
I say this because I had this issue with Pathmark. Apparently, many years ago, my phone number was associated with an old check cashing Pathmark card. Along the line I must have gotten a new (non-checking cashing) care and somehow my phone number was attached to both cards. When I went to the store and used my phone number, it was pulling up my old card and none of my ecoupons would come off. The reason…I had saved them to my current card and not the one that my phone number was picking up. Now, I only use my card and not my phone number and I haven’t had a problem since.
Rather then call corporate to say that your ecoupons are not coming off, I would simply call corporate to check on any cards that are registered to your name, address and/or phone number to see if there is any duplication over the year.
Hope that helps everyone
Cindy, Thanks for the clarification. I really appreciate having a place to access where I can TRUST the information posted, who plays by the rules as they exist and makes us aware of new rule changes as they happen.
Now can we get ShopRite to increase the ecoupon limit from 88 (Who came up that number?) to the number of ecoupons they list on their site?
Thanks for being there.
how many times can u do this deal?
why is there a limit to two deodorant coupons?
It states on the suave coupon that there’s a limit of 2 of the same coupon.
I would guess that the manufacturer don’t want us to abuse the amount that we purchase in one shopping trip. This will allow for the product to be available for others to purchase. Also by having to use 2 coupons we won’t be getting the item 100% free. We will have to pay a very low cost (.33 per each) but to the manufacturer having us pay something is better than us paying nothing.
For this deal, can we use (2) .75/1 and (1) .50 coupon? I’m thinking we can since they are different amounts for the coupon.
Only if you purchase 3 items. One manufacturer’s coupon per item.
That’s if you are talking about paper coupons, not eCoupons.
Yeah I was thinking of buying 3 deodorants and using those 3 coupons, the .75 q from the red plum and the .50 printable q I got from the makinglifebetter website for this deal.
