I was so excited when I checked out. FYI off topic but the cashier told me Walgreens is going to be going to a reward card progrm like Rite Aid and CVS. She stated that when they do they’ll be no more RR printing you’ll get your savings upon checkout.
A manager told me the same thing at Walgreens, they will have a rewards card soon but gave me no more details. Recently in my small town, a couponer was arrested and charged with a federal crime, she was forging register rewards and using them for close to a year. She defrauded Walgreens out of thousands of dollars, I wonder if this had anything to do with them doing away with RR. I wonder if they will limit the savings like CVS and RiteAid do now.
My Walgreens would not let me use my $3 coupon since the Glade was $2.99 BIG disappointment!
I almost had the same problem, but I asked for the manager and he gladly showed the cashier how to put the coupon in for 2.99. I think it has a lot to do with the new registers, because the register beeped and said coupon exceeds item price. Maybe you should try it again!
That happened to me, the cashier called the manager and he said to price modify the $2.99 and change it to $3.00 so the coupon wouldn’t state (exceeding price limit)and it went through no problem. Ask for a manger next time.
I tried to do this deal today and the cashier was unsure so he called a manager to the register. The manager told me they could not accept the coupon. When I told him the policy states that the coupon will be lowered to 2.99, he proceeded to tell me that the policy doesn’t say that and that would be coupon fraud. He acted like I was trying to get him to do something illegal. I came home and printed the policy so I can take it back with me tomorrow. I hope I don’t get any more resistance. It can be embarrassing because the patrons behind you think you are trying to get away with something illegal also.
At my store the bottles had mail in rebates hanging on them – Limit 1 per household you have to mail in the hang tag so I guess it depends if your store has those…
Manager at Walgreens told me the same thing. I guess it’s true. It’s kind of nice we won’t have to deal with the register rewards. I wonder if we’ll need fillers at all now. If the savings come off instantly I can’t imagine we would. Hmm.. could be interesting!
They are working out a points system and from what i hear from people that were in the test area,it not great as RR.I know if they do stop the RR i will stop shopping there.
i had the same problem. the manager came over and took off the 2.99. i dont understand the refills? they were not in the circular. i have 2 coupons so if they are 2 for 6 then i am paying 4 and getting 1.oo back??
If you do that deal, there is also the b1g1 free coupons where you’ll pay $4 and get back $3 rr’s making it only a dollar for four.

Manager did not let me keep both RR’s :/ told me it was a mistake and kept one of them. ugh!
The machine is no longer printing both RRs as of 11 am 8/20. I only got one this morning but did get 2 from the same store yesterday.
Just went into my local Groton, ct walgreens and I only got one $1 RR from walgreens. No other Catalina. Disappointed, but not to much cause I did make $1 off the deal. I did have to buy pens cause otherwise the walgreens Catalina didn’t print.
Only got 1 cat just now. Still a $1 money maker just not 2.

And another question….. IF I purchase a product that is on sale for $5.99 and use a 20% discount coupon so my cost was $4.80, if I submit that receipt for a rebate, do I circle the price before the discount or after?

My question is about Shoprite ecoupons. The last few visits I’ve notice I’m not getting the larger amount CF ecoupons, like $1.25 off Marie’s yogurt dressing, $2.00 off Dove Clinical. I go to the Customer Service & they say it’s a problem with the ecoupons & tell me to call the main Shoprite number which they don’t have. Is anybody else having this problem? I go to Shoprite in Wall, NJ. Do you have the main phone# for Shoprite? What should I do? Thanks Cindy!You rock.
