EAT, STINK AND DRINK! IT’S CHIC TO REEK!
Annual Garden State Garlic Festival, Lafayette Village
LAFAYETTE, NJ – The NEW Lafayette Village hopes you will join us for The 11th Annual Garden State Garlic Festival! Garlic Lovers come hungry because this year we are going to make it “Chic to Reek” at The New Lafayette Village! Indulge in Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Garlic Soup, Garlic Knots, Cheesy Garlic Bread, Garlic Fritters, Garlic Sausage and much, much more.
The Brownstone, from Jersey Housewives fame, will be “Gettin’ their Jersey On” and sampling and selling their new Tomato Sauces. Not many here in NJ get garlic like the Manzo’s!
Sample complimentary wines from Cava Winery and Ventimiglia Vineyard. Demonstrations by NJ Brewery will inspire you to “brew your own” beer at home. Buy garlic infused vinegars and oils, garlic spreads, tapenades and garlic honey! I can just imagine it on a fresh Monte Cristo sandwich!! Yummy!!
The Garden State Garlic Growers want to share their knowledge with all, so drop into the educational display area and taste all the different varieties, all locally grown from Inchellium Red, to German White, an all purpose hardneck garlic..just to name a couple.
The Lafayette House will sponsor a Beer and Wine Garden to complement our culinary masterpieces that will include Roasted Garlic Brownies and Roasted Garlic Rice Pudding make by our very own “Everything Homemade Café”.
Bring a blanket so you can get comfy whole listing to our many musicians lined up for the weekend, including Mike Lawlor Banned, The Fantasia Project and The Hit Men to name a few.
So, come prepared for TWO STINKIN’ days of fun in Lafayette Village, October 6 and 7, 2012 starting at 11 am. The best part is IT’S FREE admission! Visit our many boutiques and eateries, feed the ducks at the pond, sing along with the music….and above all EAT, STINK and be MERRY!
