Gas Rationing Starts in NJ
This brings back memories from the 1970’s for me. Starting tomorrow, 11/3 at noon, New Jersey will start gas rationing for the purchase of fuel in 12 counties.
According to NJ.com, Gov. Christie signed and executive order today announcing a state of energy emergency. The rationing will take place in the following counties:
Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Morris, Monmouth, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren
The rationing will be as follows:
- Motor Vehicles with license plates ending in an odd number can fill up on odd numbered days of the month
- Motor Vehicles with license plates ending in an even number can fill up on even numbered days of the month
- Motor Vehicles with vanity plates that do not have a number at the end can fill up on odd numbered days of the month
There is no mention of any restrictions for those filling up gas canisters.
