My Shopping Trip to ShopRite to Restock after Sandy!
Extreme Couponing Shopping Trip
Well, it’s time to start restocking after Hurricane Sandy. As I mentioned in my last shopping post, like most of you, we lost everything in all of our refrigerators and freezers. So the only thing we can do is to slowly build back up. If I didn’t use coupons I would totally be freaking out right now. But, because of coupons, I paid, out of pocket, only $33.28 but it really cost me only $19.99 after catalina and other rebates. Not too shabby!
This trip to ShopRite did not include meat which I plan on doing today at Best Market. They have boneless chicken on sale for just $1.49 per lb. For this trip, I dug through all of my printable coupons to find anything that would score even somewhat of a great deal. I also used some of the free offer coupons that I get from the companies.

Great job! I got that free Yoplait frozen yogurt coupon on Sunday too, I bought 6 regular Yoplait yogurts. Maybe just buying Yoplait triggers it.

we just moved to richmond va. and omg…the price of groceries down here is shocking. wow. i’m just now restocking my closet and learning which store offers the best prices. I have 3 to choose from. I’m not doing so well. Shop rite sales are far better than what i have down here. miss my shoprite!!
This was brought up in another thread but was filing a food loss claim thru your homeowners not an option? Having been where you are last year from the pre Halloween storm it is never easy to restock. Awesome job and thanks for all you do!

Is there any way to get some of those coupons without downloading yet another coupon printer. I love the coupons Coupon Network has, but my boyfriend will not let me download another one. He is in IT and is constantly monitoring for virus’ because of the coupon printers. They are not very safe to use, even with a great IT guy on my side. Any ideas?
My husband has made the same comment. He is also in IT. He will not let me print coupons off of his work computer. He has had to clean up my computer a few times due to problems I’ve picked up from some coupon sites.

great job Cindy, wish we had a shoprite here in Mass. You should look into your homeowners insurance to see if they cover the cost of the food you lost. They may cover your cost of your lost food.

Did anyone have a problem using the Baileys creamer coupon at Shoprite? Mine wouldn’t take it them, they said that they have to be redeemed at Walmart. What a bummer
