Can anyone confirm the Purex produces the $5 cat when you buy 5 at 1.99? Doing the deodorant deal first then rolling it into the other deals like Purex and soft scrub is making Soprite the place to be this week. Thanks again.

Did you check your shelf price? Maybe it was lower than anticipated at your store, and, therefore, did not meet the required amount?
cant get the right guard coupon to print, anyone else having this problem?
I couldn’t find any Xtreme’s (or even a spot for them) in my Shoprite last night. I will try to see if another store close by has some.

I just got back from my local ShopRite in Harford County, MD. I bought 5 Purex, all had a shelf price of over $3 and I didn’t get the Catalina. So I don’t think it’s working on shelf price at my ShopRite. I’m going to go back though and try getting 5 of the Right Guard and 3 of the Purex, which should definitely give me over $15 with the sale price. I should end up paying just over $2 out of pocket for the second transaction and with the two transactions it should be just over $2 with the tax for 5 Right Guard and 8 Purex after the Catalina.
What scents of Purex?
Bought 2 of the 43.5 oz Purex Triple Action Plus Oxi and Zout Stain Removers and 3 of the 18 ct Ultra Packs. The 18 cts were two different scents, Free and Clear and Mountain Breeze. Not sure why it didn’t work, but I’m not taking any chances the second time. I’ll also probably try calling the catalina company and seeing if I can get the $5 coupon from them for the one that didn’t print out. I know if I go to customer service, they won’t give it to me because to them it is on sales price and not shelf price.
Tried to buy the 5 Right Guard using 4 $2 coupons from RP and 1 printable $2 coupon. Cashier refused. Started that limit was 4 coupons for the same product. Tried to explain that it was 4 like coupons and that the printable coupon was from a different source. That didn’t fly. Grrr. Will have to try this later if there are any left.
I tried all last week to find the Rite Guard. Has anyone found it in the Middletown/Monroe, NY area???

I bought 4 Purex and 2 of the Right Guard at Shoprite and got the $5.00 coupon. The Purex were on sale for $1.99 each, lmt 4, and I had the $2/1 on the RIght Guard. Not a bad deal, just starting out trying to save. Thanks.
HELPPPPP……I just got back from Shoprite…I did 2 different transactions with the Purex deal and it DID NOT give me back a $5 Catalina. First transaction I bought 5 purex and did not receive one and the same way for the second transaction…it is not giving Catalina’s….why????

Yes, sometimes in the past a certain variety of an item has been found not to trigger the catalina based on sale price. It seems so many people are stating it worked and just as many are saying it did not work. Makes me think a certain scent may not be “triggering the deal”…I have noticed today the original(orange cap), oxi(red cap) zout purchases are part of the problem. May I ask again…Which scents did you purchase?

It could be the zout …Cindy just posted an update of the zout may be problem…I have asked on facebook as well the people who say it did not work and it looks like the orange cap may have a problem…does that orange cap have zout??…hmmmmm. You can still try contacting the catalina company for purchasing the items and see if they will forward $5 catalina to you. Good luck!
I purchased 3 purex tabs mountain scent and 2 soft scrub total with bleach. The catalina did not print so i exchanged the soft scrub total for plan soft scrub gel that was also 2/5 and that did trigger the catalina to print.

Did the Purex and Soft Scrub deal x 3 this a.m. with no difficulty. However, tried it later on and the Catalina did not print for my daughter or I. I do not remember which color cap it was for the Purex. Did the Right Guard Extreme deal, and used (4) MQ for $2 and (1) IP for $2. The Catalina printed fine, but since you only get the price plus discount x 4, I did have to pay OOP around $1.94. Still a money maker. Went to CS and after much explaining, and showing her that the Catalina printed for the deodorants, even though I only paid about $1.94, she force printed the $5 for the Purex using the bar codes they have for the deal in a book. That is the frustrating part about these deals. When they don’t work, even though they did before, it is extremely hard to convince CS of this. Same when the Catalina machine runs out of paper, etc. Still a great bargain – just a lot of work.

I am in Harford Co. MD also. I tried the deal this morning with 3 Purex free and clear and 2 soft scrub and it worked fine for me. I have learned 2 things – 1 if your Catalina doesn’t print go to customer service and get the to give it to you. Every time mine didn’t print, the cashiers machine was out of paper. Customer service knows me:) they don’t give me any problems. 2 – go to the young male cashiers (sorry to sound biased, but if it works, do it!). The young females want to prove they are smarter than you and the older cashiers take a long time and screw up your deals. Don’t mean to offend anyone, just trying to help.
