Cindy just to double check. Did your egift card have any expiration date or exclusions beside not being able to use online/phone?

No Expiration date on it. No exclusions except that you can not redeem it for cash.

When does the eGift Card expire?
There is no expiration date on your eGift Card. We recommend that you redeem it soon after you receive it, so you don’t forget.

Hmm…ordered one 20 minutes ago and I’ve only gotten the email confirmation. No gift card yet. Anyone else waiting?

Just went on website to purchase and looked at terms and agreement. It states
“Terms and Conditions: This Staples ePromotional Card will expire. See Staples ePromotional Card for date of expiration. ePromotional Cards are distributed by third party vendor CashStar, Inc. (“CashStar”). Staples reserves the right to not honor ePromotional Cards obtained from unauthorized sellers, including Internet auction sites. ePromotional Cards cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value, or redeem.”
Before I hit enter to purchase egift card… the promotion will expire? or the gift card will expire?

Just a thought. I bought this a few months back when they were giving the $10 gift cards. I purchased a $200 GC. When I went to use it at Staples to purchase a case of paper they told me I can only use it once more as per their policy. It’s not the kind of GC where you can use 10 times and your purchase just keeps getting deducted till it reaches zero balance. There was no mgr. around for me to confirm and haven’t spoken to my sales rep. but if anybody has any input plse post. I was going to buy (4) separate $50 GC this time to avoid any issues.

Sandy, you can use the regular gift card as many times as needed until the balance is $0 (just like any other gift card). Maybe the cashier was referring to the $10 egift promotional card that was offered at that time? I can’t remember the terms of that deal, other than that there was an expiration date that applied only to the $10 bonus. So you do not have to spend your $200 gift card balance all at once and that balance does not expire. I have done several of these deals. HTH!

      • Sandy

No it wasn’t on the $10 GC as I used then without a problem it was the $200 one. I assumed person was giving me wrong info which is why I haven’t bothered to look into it further. I appreciate your help.

    Nevermind – DEAD deal.

  • Jill

Yup the deal has ended. Going to go buy some cheap Dawn detergent to make myself feel better lol.
