Dole SavingStar ShopRite Deal

Dole SavingStar ShopRite Deal

Yesterday we told you about a new Dole SavingStar One or Many Offer currently available.  This is an awesome new SavingStar Offer because we currently have lots of great Dole Coupons and sales which will allow us to work some nice deals, including this awesome Money Maker deal idea at ShopRite.

Screen Shot 2014-01-18 at 4.54.53 PM

The SavingStar is offer is Save $5.00 when you spend $20 on any Dole Fruit Bowls, Jars, Squish’ems!, Frozen Fruit, Canned Fruit, Canned Juice & Healthy Snacks.  We know from past experiences that SavingStar Offers track on shelf prices at grocery stores such as ShopRite.  There are several different deal ideas you can work based on what coupons you have and what Dole Products you’d like to purchase.  Below is the best deal idea I came up with at ShopRite this week – turns into a $1.90 Money Maker after coupons and SavingStar Deposit.  Again, this idea is assuming SavingStar tracks on shelf prices, which it has done for us several times before in the past.

Update:  It looks like the Dole Smoothie Shakers are just on “sale” and not on pre-price plus sale.  In other words, anyone who walks into ShopRite would get the $1.99 sale price, with or without using their price-plus card.  Therefore, only $1.99 is tracking toward the SavingStar credit, not $2.49 as originally posted below.  I have updated the deal idea below.

Here is your deal at ShopRite through 1/25:

  • Tangokiki

I just posted under the prior announcement regarding the Dole offer. I am confirming that YES, it is tracking on shelf price. My $1.99 shakers (bought 2) gave me a $3.98 credit towards the offer. BTW – any pineapple juice coupons out there anyone?

  • Melinda Dilione

Thanks for the confirmation. Here’s a Dole Pineapple Juice coupon – http://coupons2.smartsource.com/smartsource/index.jsp?Link=PBWZRGNRFOHM2

  • Kim

Anyone else not have the Dole Banana Dipper e oupon? Is it NLA?

  • Marie

    I can’t find it either

  • Kelsie

I don’t have the Dole e-coupon either. And I don’t remember ever seeing it available to clip.

  • Kathy

Me neither and I clipped the new ones first thing Sunday morning.

  • Melinda Dilione

It came out on 1/5 and we posted it here – http://www.livingrichwithcoupons.com/2014/01/over-84-in-new-shoprite-ecoupons-betty-crocker-progresso-barilla-and-more-done.html
It may be NLA to clip now if you’re not seeing it but for those who clipped it right away, it doesn’t expire until 3/1/14. HTH

  • Melinda Dilione

Hi Kathy, you can see my response to Kim. This eCoupon became available on 1/5 so if you clip everything Sunday mornings you should have this one clipped. HTH.

  • COLIN

I am not so sure that it is tracking on shelf price. I recall that at my store these sell for $2.49 regularly and are on sale this week for $1.99, and that is what is mentioned above, as well . Therefore, it appears to track on SALE price with respect to the Savingstar.com tabulation — at least with respect to the Shakers product.

  • Karen B

I couldn’t find it either, but it may have been an older one that’s NLA.

  • Sherry Z

Apologies for this question again. I constantly have Java problems with SmartSource despite being current on my Java and on my Firefox and on all my settings. Does anyone have any tips to share? If I try countless times, sometimes, it eventually works. Yes, I’ve tried Safari, Chrome and IE and none are consistently more reliable. Any magical solutions to offer?

  • Heather

If it gave you a $3.98 credit, wouldn’t that mean it was working on sale prices, not shelf prices? Shelf price is 2.49

  • Julie

I don’t see dole shakers on the list.
I’ve bought 5 dole shakers & not a single credit. Is it for certain stores?

  • DianeG

Sherry, don’t apologize! This is an annoying problem.

When you say Java problems, exactly what do you mean – the error message that says Java not detected or it appears to print and then does not? If it’s the Java not detected message, try it again with the same coupon from the very start of the action. Sometimes it works on the second try.
FF will block certain parts of Java; you have to “allow” it to work each time you print SS and RP. It’s no big deal. In your FF browser, adjacent to the back browser button, there is a symbol that looks like a lego block. As soon as you click print for a SS cpn, you see the symbol change a little. Click on it and “allow” Java. Then a dialog box comes up and you choose “run”.

As many times as I change the setting to allow Java plugins at the highest level, FF always seems to revert it back because of an unsigned security certificate that they detect as a threat. I can only assume that each time FF updates, it reverts back. So allowing Java plugins on a case by case basis seems to work every time now. hth

I have found that some stores post savingstar credits faster than others. For me it seems that Stop and Shop takes the longest whereas BigY and ShopRite are usually no more than a day or two at most. My advice is to keep checking as it can take over a week sometimes for you to see your credit.

  • kesha

Does anyone know the shelf price of the dole frozen fruit cups at Stop & Shop that are .39 after coupon and CAT? I think I would like to do a mixed deal with those, dippers at SR and frozen cups at S&S, since I already used my 1.25 off dole shakers SR ecoupon.

  • Nell

I have internet explorer and I don’t have problems with Java and SS..Another thing you might have a problem with might be your settings for antivirus..If you can’t print and your printer is connected wirelessly, then it might be your printer causing this or router..I had months of problems with my HP printer due to the connectivity. If it’s connectivity just plug it through usb to be safe.If you are suspicious about the Java, remove it completely and reinstall it and you’ll see what it does.Your Java might be up to date but over time some links could get misplaced and it might not be completely functional..You might check on java web for the updates..Hope this helps.

  • Sandy

I did 2 things and now I can print 99% of the time on my Mac. I switched to Firefox for SS coupons. When using Safari I had to uncheck my “Block pop-up window” (Go to Safari, Click Preferences, Click Security, Uncheck block pop-up windows) I’m sure something will go wrong next week but for now at least Mac can print SS coupons, this week!

  • COLIN

Yes. OP has acknowledged his error, elsewhere.

  • COLIN

FWIW: Down thread there is a discussion that Savingstar appears to be tracking this on SALE and NOT SHELF prices. If this is correct, Cindy’s threshold calculations above, are likely to be off.

  • jo

was it definitely a price plus sale, based on your receipt?

  • AnginCT

For those who were waiting to use the dippers coupon the chocolate covered strawberries – not everyone likes bananas – they are out at least in Meriden ShopRite. I’m waiting til after work to try them..they look good.

  • Tim

Shelf prices came off for me. Bought 4 Squish ems and have $9.52 towards Saving Star.

  • Denise Davison

Hi Sherry, I have had problems with printing Java on FireFox as well, here what I did to fix it, when you are on the screen that is printing the coupon, look on the upper left hand corner of the URL, there is a little box, kind of looks like a battery (i put a picture below) click on it and make it sure that it is enabling java at all times, that worked for me, maybe it will help you too!

  • Maggie

I can’t wait to try the strawberries! I love the banana ones!

  • LB

It definitely was – I used it at BJs :) Wish I had saved it!

  • LB

Same here. It freezes my Firefox, then messes it all up. I have to use IE. Sometimes it makes me update that, and I have to putz around to get it to print. I can’t stand it!

  • Heather

Can anyone else confirm that the deals are tracking on shelf prices, not sale prices? Specifically at ShopRite? Seems some people are getting credit on sale price and some on shelf price…

  • Heather

Tim, what store did you shop at?

  • Tim

    ShopRite Glasgow, DE

  • Heather

    Thank you :)

  • joann

the dole shakers are not on price plus sale, that is why only $1.99 is counting. the squishems are on price plus sale, so the higher price is counting.

  • COLIN

Sorry, I was only referring to the Smooth Shakers product. It is on sale, but not on a Price Plus Sale, thus their Sale price of $1.99 is being used to track the item, not the Regular Pre-Price Plus retail of $2.49. The Squishems are on a Price Plus Sale, thus, their normal retail price is being used to track those purchases this week.

  • COLIN

Believe it or not, I just was credited with the Starkist tuna cash back that I purchased 10 days ago From my S/R!

  • Rocky

Yep, this appears to be the case. On Sat. I bought 4 Squishems at PP of $1.88 (Cindy’s shelf price of $2.38 x 4 = $9.52) and 2 Shakers (not on PP, x $1.99 = $3.98) and received that total ($13.50) in my SS account on Monday.

  • Robin Marquis

Are you referring to Meriden, CT? I didn’t realize they had one.

  • AnginCT

I meant Wallingford CT .. sorry after all the years in Meriden I still forget they are in Wallingford CT now… Plus Disqus is driving me nuts not letting me log in on this site but fine with others.. so no edit. My apologies!

  • Tangokiki

Yes – a price plus sale price. Normal price is $2.49. BTW – made one last evening (strawberry made with POM juice) and it was delicious!

  • Robin Marquis

oh, it’s no big deal, i just thought they may have opened one and i hadn’t heard since I live in wfd I was excited :-)

  • Heather

got it, thanks a bunch :)

  • jo

yes, PC and bold print designate price plus discounts. some items have two deductions, on sale, and then an additional PC. price plus is the only one that makes a difference in shelf vs sale price. this is another one of those times that sfh says price plus sale, but it is just on sale – too bad we can’t count on accuracy from that website!

  • Adara

Question. Kind of a general one about savingstar tho. Savingstar always tracks the pre-coupon amount and sometimes tracks the pre-store card amount, right?

  • Anginct

Maggie – they are so worth it. I am not partial to the frozen dole individual cups so I was a bit apprehensive. The dippers are plenty coated in chocolate and the halves are plump. You do only get 4 in a package but at only 60 calories that’s ok to me. I’m six months pregnant and the one package totally satisfied my sweet craving!

  • AnginCT

Maggie – I called the 1-800 number on the package of strawberry dippers because they were that good. The lady laughed when I said that I am 6 months pregnant and can’t wait to go buy more. She is sending me coupons in the mail ..so yay for that as well. You should call and tell them about your love of the banana dippers.

  • prifafer

Hi, does the pineapple juice counts on the sale?

  • Rocky

Juices don’t count toward the Savingstar deal.

  • Melinda Dilione

Dole Pineapple Juice counts towards the SavingStar Deal. There’s a picture of it in the offer and it says right in the description “canned juices.”

  • Melinda Dilione

The shelf price at my Stop & Shop for the frozen cups is $2.99

  • DianeG

Ang, ‘got the strawberry the other day – they are incredible! You are right, one package is just enough, very refreshing. Did your ecpn come off for these ? For some reason mine did not come off for the Strawberry dippers All of the wording says “Dippers”, not Banana dippers.

  • DianeG

Dole Squish Ems appears to be NLA. boo

  • AnginCT

It actually did not have it loaded so I don’t know the answer to that question. I do know that my savingstar credit was $3.53. Sorry.

  • barbara

    correct

  • Rocky

Sorry, I stand corrected! It is the refrigerated juices that it says are not included, not the canned ones!

  • COLIN

My store stocked the Strawberry Dippers and I chose those as I often freeze my own bananas (this is a good use of them esp. if they are overripe), however, in looking at my receipt, I see that the S/R e-coupon did not come off. The Price Plus discount did making them $2.88 but not the e-coupon. Anybody else have this happen? I am thinking that the S/R e-coupon is only coded for the banana dippers since the print coupon indicated that the strawberry dippers are a new product. I am expecting that even though it is a new product, that I will get credit from SavingStar but will have to wait a bit. Just though you would like to know…………..

  • lily

diane said the same thing about the ecoupon earlier today, so you are not alone

  • Heather C.

SavingStar tracked off sale prices for me, not shelf price.

  • jo

    what product did you buy?

  • COLIN

    Thanks, Lilly.

  • COLIN

Lilly alerted me to your post downstream. Same thing happened to me re the e-coupon — it must be coded only for the banana variety. Will see if I get Savingstar credit but I expect to do so.

  • misterbill

    Still there for me.

  • DianeG

THX – looked again today ‘found it – ‘Musta’ been snow-blindness yesterday!

  • COLIN

OK, I just bought the Banana Dippers and the S/R e-coupon came off, so it is definitely the Strawberry that is having the problems with the e-coupon, most likely because it is not coded for the coupon as it is a brand new product.

  • Kate

I had the same thing happen. I bought 4 squish em’s totaling 9.52 and 2 shakers totaling 3.98 in 1 transaction at shop rite. I got a credit for 9.52 on savings star. Feedback please….

  • dana

what type of shakers? were they the new veggie varieties?

  • COLIN

Please be aware that although I have received Savingstar credit for many Dole Smooth Shakers, I did not receive such credit for a new variety that was on my store’s shelves — “Yellow Power” which is a fruit and vegetable juice blend — something that they had advertised was coming. I suspect that Savingstar has not yet coded the UPC for this new product and that is why I received no credit. Caveat Emptor.

  • Denise Davison

Great find on that Colin, thank you for letting us know!!

  • CouponDood

Does anyone know if the Dole Squishems will be on sale for $1.88 or less next week (starting tomorrow)?

  • cathy

did savingstar credit you for the strawberry dippers – another new product?

  • COLIN

Yes, that they did, but not S/R as they had an e-coupon but eventually I bought the banana dippers and the S/R e-coupon came off. I have sent an e-mail to Savingstar and might still get credit but wanted to alert all that it is probably not worth the hassle and just steer clear of this product for some interval of time unless you don’t care about Savingstar crediting that particular product.

  • cathy

i asked based upon reading your previous posts ;)
thanks for the info on what counts and what doesn’t

  • COLIN

No problem and glad to be of help.

  • Kari

Given that this was the last week of the Can Can sale I’m going to say probably not.

  • Kate

    No just strawberry

  • COLIN

Savingstar just wrote back and acknowledged that they did not have the UPC for the above product and that they are sending it over to their “product team” likely for inputting into the system. Just when they may accomplish this is anyone’s guess so I would still proceed with caution if planning to buy this product, as well as perhaps the “Red Power” Smooth Shaker, as well. They did credit me with the $$ spent, but it does not display on my overall tally and I have to contact them again when I pass the threshold of my manually adjusted account. So, in the end yes I was credited, but I still have to jump thru some additional hoops to succeed.
