Saturday 2/22/14:

Myths of George Washington

Cost:  $4
Description: Did Washington really have wooden teeth? Did he chop down a cherry tree? Revisit these and other Washington stories, investigate their truthfulness, and discover why such tales were and are so popular.
Location: Washington’s Headquarters Museum, Morristown, NJ
Time:  1:15 – 1:45 pm; 2:15-2:45 pm and 3:15-3:45 pm.

Camp Riverbend’s “The Saturday Club”

Cost:  Free
Description:  Calling all preschoolers and kindergarteners! Join us for a structured morning of activities specially designed for young children, including games, crafts, nature, cooking, music and more, led by Camp Riverbend counselors. Parents must stay with their children. Limited spaces, so RSVP is required to [email protected].

The Lego Brick Art of Nathan Sawaya

Cost:  $7 Children/Seniors; $10 Adults; Free for Museum Members
Description: Delight in this grand display of incredible LEGO sculptures, created by Nathan Sawaya.
Location: Morris Museum, 6 Normandy Heights Road, Morristown, NJ

Junior Naturalist: Who’s Eating My Sunflower Seeds?

Cost:  $7
Description:  During this program children and their parents will learn all about the wonders of nature. From how wildlife survives the winter to summer amphibians. Junior Naturalists will explore the environment in every season and in all kinds of weather, learning to use the tools professional naturalists use.
Location: Duke Farms, 1112 Dukes Parkway West, Hillsborough, NJ
Time: 1 – 3 pm
