Reader Shopping Trip to ShopRite – Huggies & Kleenex Dollar Days Catalina

Extreme Couponing ShopRite

So ShopRite is the place to be this week as we’re into week 2 of the Dollar Days Promotions.  The hottest deals this week are two items which are part of the same Dollar Days Kimberly Clark Promotion – Buy 3 Get a $3.00 Catalina – the Huggies Diapers Deal as well as the Kleenex Money Maker.  Reader Karin e-mailed us to let us know she took advantage of both of these deals and everything worked out perfectly and just as planned!

Karin’s cost for this trip was only TWO DOLLARS after all coupons, eCoupons and Catalina’s back. Awesome – I love it!

Just an important note about these deals – they are both part of the Kimberly Clark Dollar Days Promotion so if you’re planning on taking advantage of both of these deals, you’ll need to separate your transactions.  You cannot buy both products and receive (2) $3.00 Catalina’s in the same transaction but as I said, if you separate them you will have no problem.

Also, after reading through the comments on these posts, I’ve noticed some of you reporting the deals aren’t working perfectly for you.  Here are some important details which we’ve stressed all along, but just an added reminder for these deals in particular:

  • The Huggies Catalina (separate from the $3 Dollar Days Catalina) only prints on Huggies Diapers 42 count or larger.  See the Catalina page for complete details on this Catalina offer.  Some of you may not be getting this second Catalina because you’re not purchasing a qualifying product.  Only size 1 and 2 jumbo packs have 42 diapers in them, which is why this deal only works on size 1 and 2.  The jumbo packs are the packages on sale for $8 and part of the Dollar Days Buy 3 Get $3 Catalina promotion.
  • If you tried this deal Sunday, 2/23, it may have not worked perfectly or correctly because the Huggies Catalina didn’t officially start until Monday, 2/24, as we noted in the posts.

  • I’ve seen many of you say the $2/1 Huggies Jumbo Pack Diapers ShopRite eCoupon is no longer available.  This eCoupon is still available to clip, however an easy mistake to make is to forget to look for the Dollar Days Banner, which is where this eCoupon is located.  When you log into your ShopRite account and click on load digital coupons, in the top right corner you will see an image (see above) which you should click on to clip your Huggies eCoupon.
  • As always when doing Catalina Deals, check to make sure the green light on the Catalina Machine is green, that there is paper inside of it, etc. so you don’t miss out on your Catalina’s printing.
  • As I noted above, if you’re purchasing multiple items within the same Dollar Days Category, you need to separate your transactions.  For example, if you’re buying 3 Huggies and 3 Kleenex Tissues, separate these transactions so you will get your $3.00 Catalina twice.
  • Many of you have reported NOT getting the $3/1 Huggies Coupon we refer to in the post.  This coupon was in our local newspapers here at LRWC – the Asbury Park Press and the Star Ledger.  Unfortunately sometimes the value of coupons vary from location to location and paper to paper.
  • For the Kleenex Deal this week, be sure to purchase the 70-count boxes of Kleenex Tissues which are the ones priced at $1.00.  This will work out to be the best deal.
  • Some of you have reported that the $1.00 boxes of Kleenex with Lotion didn’t produce the $3.00 Catalina, however we had no trouble purchasing the lotion tissues and receiving the Catalina.  Just to be safe, you can choose to avoid the lotion tissues to ensure you get your Catalina.

Here is what reader Karin purchased:

  • Laurie

Even if you only have the SR E coupon, isnt that a great deal for Diapers? $4 for 42 diapers is 9 cents a diaper, right?

    • Denise Davison

Absolutely, we thought it was a great deal before we even saw the eCoupon!

  • Wu

If I use the $3 off cat from Kleenex to pay for huggies, would I still get $3 off cat for huggies too? Or I have to save the cats to use next week?

    • Denise Davison

      You can absolutely do that!

      • wu

        Thank you

  • Julie

I’m not seeing the Kleenex coupon :(

    • Denise Davison

Hi Julie, I updated the link with a new one, so that one should be working for you now!

  • kathy

i bought overnight 27ct and did not get 7 dollar catalina what i have to do

    • jj

      from above:

The Huggies Catalina (separate from the $3 Dollar Days Catalina) only prints on Huggies Diapers 42 count or larger.

    • Rose Clark

You must buy diapers bags 42 count and higher to get catalina

    • jj

overnites 27 ct size 4 diapers $8 do not count for cat

goodnites 27 ct size l-xl (60 to 125 lbs) $19.99 should count for the cat according to the terms for products other than diapers

these are two very different products

Huggies Diapers (42ct or larger), Pull-Ups Training Pants (42ct or larger), GoodNites Underwear (27ct or larger)
      2/24/14 – 3/23/14
      Buy 2 Get a $5 Catalina
      Buy 3 Get a $7 Catalina
Buy 4 or more Get a $10 Catalina

    • Melinda Dilione

Hi Kathy, as I outlined in the post above, the Huggies Catalina has restrictions on it – the product you bought doesn’t qualify. Here are the items that qualify for the Catalina:

Huggies Diapers (42ct or larger), Pull-Ups Training Pants (42ct or larger), GoodNites Underwear (27ct or larger)
      2/24/14 – 3/23/14
      Buy 2 Get a $5 Catalina
      Buy 3 Get a $7 Catalina
Buy 4 or more Get a $10 Catalina

      • kelsey

I tried to buy 3 of the size 3 snug and dry diapers and I only got the $3.00 catalina. Which shop rite store is this trip from

        • Dawn Nicole

How many diapers were in the package? The $7.00 CAT is for 42 ct or larger.

          • kelsey

Oh okay thank you, there was 36 in the pack. Which is also confusing because the coupon i used was for 42ct or higher also and they came off. Anyway, thank you for the clarification!

  • Heather

    Kleenex coupon is NLA. :(

    • Denise Davison

Hi Heather, I updated the Kleenex link with a new one, try that now! :)

      • Heather

        Thank you!!

  • kathy

where can i check catalina deals ?
    thank you

  • Lisa W

Can you use the $3.00 off Huggies Snugglers coupon with any of these Catalina deals?

    • Melinda Dilione

Hi Lisa, which coupon exactly are you referring to?

      • Lisa W

$3.00 on any ONE package of Huggies Little Snugglers or Little Movers Diapers or Huggies Overnight Diapers (42 ct. or larger)

        • Melinda Dilione

You can use this coupon yes, but I’m only seeing the big pack of Little Snugglers on ShopRite from Home priced at $19.99 and the Little Movers Jumbo Packs that are on sale for $8.00 don’t have 42 diapers, so you’d have to use this coupon on the bigger boxes priced at $19.99. If you do this you will still get your $7 Huggies Catalina but you won’t get the $3 Dollar Days Catalina and of course you’ll be spending more on the bigger boxes. Hope this makes sense and helps!

  • Ashley

Does the E-Coupon for Huggies come off only once? Say we do this transaction twice (seperately of course), will the E-Coupon comes off on both transactions?

    • barbara

      no just once..

  • kristi

I went to my local shoprite and they were sold out of size 1 and 2. I asked when they would get more and I was told they are on a manufacture hold? Anyone else get this if there store was sold out?

    • Dawn Nicole

I have been to 4 SR’s so far. The store I was at today said they were getting a shipment on Thursday. I didn’t ask at the other 3 stores. Can’t believe how fast these have been cleared off the shelves.

      • kristi

Thanks I am surprised too. But o was just taken back with the manufacture hold. I am not sure if they were just saying it becuase they couldnt tell me if they were getting them or not. Thursday is usually a delivery day at my local SR so I will check back then too.

        • Dawn Nicole

I just stopped in the Shoprite a few mins ago that I have already been too and they said they are getting a shipment tomorrow. She didn’t mention anything about a manu. hold. Hopefully one of us will do better later in the week :-)

  • Leslie

Kleenex aloe + lotion $1.00 boxes did NOT print the Catalina. But the customer on the line behind me told my cashier that she just came from another SR and had the $3 Catalina in her hand from buying 3 boxes of Kleenex there
(to purchase Huggies at this store) so the manager was kind enough to take off $3 from my total!

    • tiffany

did the Kleenex deal twice last night on my lunch break, it worked fine. I saw in another post someone mentioned buying like ones didn’t work I got 2 with lotion 70 ct and 1 soothing 85 ct and in the second order did 2 85 ct and 1 70 ct got the $3 both times went fine. heading back today hope the shelf are still full like last night.

  • COLIN

I am happy to report that the 85 count Box of Kleenex tissues DOES generate the $3.00 Catalina, as well. (By the way, in the picture above, you are showing the 85 count boxes and not the 70 count w/lotion boxes!) Did this deal twice and had no problems at all! HTH!

    • Heather

Did the $0.50/1 coupon double? I just realized, right before I was to head out, that mine says DND up top.

      • karin

yes, my coupon did double..but still a mm if it didn’t

      • COLIN

        YES! Hooray!

    • cara

you’re right. it looks like karin, the featured shopper, did not purchase tissues with lotion. thank you for confirming that these work, as i would prefer a greater number of tissues without lotion. ;)

      • COLIN

Me too! Can’t have too many tissues, what with all the runny noses around here! But, others have reported elsewhere that the purchase of the 70 count does work!

        • cara

yes, all the previous discussion i’ve seen was focused on the lotion tissues, so it’s nice to have confirmation that the non-lotion ones work :)

  • Staci Piech

FYI….Went to one of my SR in Toms River and they were out of size 1 & 2…. So i called 2 other local SR’s and they were out too!!!! If uou are making a special trip just for these diapers, it would be wise to call the store FIRST before going! :)

    • ss

I agree. Branchburg had none and I grabbed the last 3 in Bridgewater.

  • Pamela

Can I use the $3 cat to buy 3 more boxes of Kleenex (in a different transaction)? Is there a limit per shopping card for this deal? Thank you :-)

    • COLIN

      Yes you can!

      • Pamela

        WoooHooo thanks!!!

  • Jaye

So 50ct huggies Size 1 & @ will workfor the $3 Dollar Days?

  • Harry

Looks like these are still going real fast – with no returns/exchanges yet. Saw SRFH showing stock at 10 AM, reached at 12 noon and all gone. Tried couple other SRs in the area and all are out of size 2.

    • dale

      your sfh shows stock levels?

      • Harry

It showed the item in stock – not how many there actually are. Added 3 to cart and proceeded to checkout and it continued to show all was fine (though I did not complete the order). I would expect that the item would be taken out of SRFH display if it was out of stock or show it as out of stock. Usually items do not even show up if they are not in stock.

        • dale

sfh is not that sophisticated or accurate. it has shown halloween candy in the spring, and easter candy in the fall. :D
if your store has never carried an item, like if it is new, it will not show up because it was not yet entered into the system. it does not keep up with availability. the in-store shoppers that put together the orders don’t know if items are in stock until they check the shelves – much like us. ;)

          • Harry

yes, that happens a lot, but in this case, the huggies were actually showing in stock on Sunday, then on Monday they completely disappeared, reappeared on Wednesday 10AM but were not in stock when I actually went to the store at 12 noon. They are still showing in stock though at my store though their shelves are empty and CS said they do not have any in the back.

So it appears that if a employee actually does an inventory (and I have seen them walking around with scanners and scanning shelf tags that are empty) then the stock level would get updated in SRFH, but not otherwise. Not sure how frequently they do this inventory though and how thorough they are about it.

    • Nicole LaFrance

yeah my BF called my store last night and they said they were out of 1 & 2 and that they were getting a truck at night and should have them for the morning. got there at 8 am and there were none. i asked and they said that there were none on order and they would not be getting anymore this week.

      • Dawn Nicole

Same here. The one I called today said they were getting it sometime today and should be on the shelves first thing tomorrow AM. But i might try later tonight because I have the feeling the same will happen when I get there tomorrow AM. Can’t believe every store I’ve been too are out.

  • Harry

here is one more update…not so good: I went in search of the size 2s, found a few on the shelf as well as a brand new box full of them at an SR that I don’t normally shop. Unfortunately it looks like the newer Snug and Dry Size 2s are coming in a 38 count package – not 42 anymore. So watch out for those and they are unlikely to generate the CAT though I did not try.

    • Sandy

I tried this yesterday with the help of a nice cs SR employee. It only generated the $3 coupon -not the $7. These have a different SKU than the 42 count.

    • Barbara A.

They are giving fewer diapers in all sizes. Newer packages for size 4 also have fewer diapers.

  • Jennifer Airth

I was unable to get this deal. All the local Shoprites were not restocking the size 1 & 2 42CT. The shelves had hold stickers on them. I tried 2 of the 3 local stores.
