Stonyfield YoBaby Peach/Pear Cups Recall

Stonyfield is voluntarily recalling 6-packs of 4 oz YoBaby Peach/Pear cups with the code date June 05 2014 (UPC 052159701161) due to possible coliform contamination.  The 4 oz 6-packs were shipped to 40 Target stores in Alabama, Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina and 82 Walmart stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and Delaware.

In a letter from Stonyfield’s CEO Esteve Torrens states:

The health and safety of the people who eat our products are at the forefront of every step we take in our yogurt making process. This is especially true with the products we make specifically for babies and children. That’s why, when we discovered that there was a possibility of products contaminated with coliform, we immediately took action. …  I understand how upsetting an issue like this can be. And I want to assure you personally that as soon as the problem was identified, we took action. And we’re now developing even more rigorous food safety protocols moving forward.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled Yobaby yogurts from Target or Walmart with this code should return the product (opened or unopened) to the store for a full refund.
