It seems that more and more often Americans are finding themselves in some kind of debt (whether that be from credit cards, student loans or a big purchase like a car or house). It can be easy to become defined by the number — when that number becomes who you are or your worth. Bianca Strzelczyk, in an article for Darling Magazine, writes about how she navigated the difficult landscape of saving and debt management and points to three things that made a big difference for her:

  2. “I made a realistic plan of action.”
  3. “I stuck to my plan – but also forgave (and keep forgiving) myself.”

There are many tools that can help you save, help you live a more frugal lifestyle and even help you get out of debt. Sometimes you just need a little outside perspective, encouragement and tangible ways to save.
