Baby Wipes Recall
B&G Foods has announced a voluntarily recall for certain Ortega Taco Seasoning Mix, Ortega Taco Sauce, Ortega Enchilada Sauce and Ortega Taco Kit products and certain Las Palmas Taco Seasoning Mix and Las Palmas Taco Sauce products. B&G Foods has learned that some of the spice ingredients in the products may contain peanuts and almonds, which are not listed on the products’ label.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts and almonds run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. There is no health risk associated with these products for individuals without an allergy to peanuts or almonds.
The recalled products were distributed nationwide to retail stores and foodservice outlets.
The products include various lots of the following products (visit the FDA’s website listed below, for full details on the recalled products):
- Ortega Taco Dinner Kit (various sizes)
- Ortega Seasonings
- Ortega Taco Sauce – mild, medium & hot
- Ortega Soft Taco Dinner Kit
- Ortega Whole Grain Taco Kit
- Ortega “Tacos for Two” Kit
- Ortega Green Taco Sauce – Mild
- Ortega Enchilada Sauce
- Ortega Whole Wheat Soft Taco Kit
- Ortega Grande Hard & Soft Taco Dinner Kit
- Ortega Whole Grain/Whole Wheat Hard & Soft Taco Kit
- Ortega Fiesta Flats Kit
- Las Palmas Taco Seasoning Packet (3 Pack)
- Las Palmas Taco Sauce (Mild)
This recall does not apply to any other sizes or varieties of Ortega Seasoning Mix or to any Ortega Seasoning Mixes in canisters, all of which are correctly labeled ie Ortega Fajita Seasoning Mix, Ortega Fish Taco Seasoning Mix, Ortega Chili Seasoning Mix, Ortega Chipotle Seasoning Mix or Ortega Burrito Seasoning Mix, all of which are correctly labeled. This recall also does not include any Las Palmas Enchilada Sauce, which is also correctly labeled.
