CVS Coupon Policy
While we experience changes in coupon policies quite often, we can rest assured that the CVS Coupon Policy has not changed over the last month.
I know that some of you have referenced a letter from CVS Customer Care stating that Dollar off Transaction Coupons must be met after all coupons and ECBs. An example of that is if your coupon is $5 off $30 and you have $10 in ECBs then you would have to have $40 in order to use the $5 off $30 coupon.
After getting frantic emails from a bunch of you and various readers posting questions in the comments and our CVS Couponers Facebook Group, I reached out to a CVS spokesperson who, after days of investigating, assured me that there is NO change to the CVS Coupon policy. And, the scenario listed above is not stated in the CVS Coupon policy.
In fact, the only reference to Dollar of Transaction coupons is as follows:
CVS/pharmacy accepts multiple Dollar off Transaction coupons (e.g. $3 off $15) in one transaction if they apply. Ex. Customer may use two 3 off $15 coupons if they are purchasing over $30.00
As you can see, there is no mention of any other coupons affecting the use of the dollar off transaction coupons. Only that you have to met the amount if you are using more then one.
So, in summary, you will not need to spend more you are using a dollar off transaction coupon and ECBs. Simply meet the requirement of the dollar off transaction coupon and use your ECBs as you would normally.
