Nanci’s CVS Shopping Trip – $2.76 {96% Savings!}

CVS Shopping Trip

I only really had 2 or 3 items on my CVS shopping list for the week….and then THIS happened!  Some great app coupons, plus great Extra Care Bucks offers, plus a $5/$15 total purchase Just for You coupon (received via email) led to a shopping trip that ended up costing me just $2.76 after all coupons and ECBs…. for over $64 worth of products.  That’s a savings of 96%!

Did everyone get their FREE Gold Emblem abound snacks (in the select snacks 10/$10 deal)  and Garnier Fructis Shampoo/Conditioners?  Freebies are always first on my list!  Especially when they are as easy as these.

Below is a complete list of what was purchased.  You can see the breakdown for each making it very easy for you to mix and match deals and know exactly how much each deal costs.

These are the CVS coupons used in this transaction:

  • $5/$15 Total Purchase, CVS coupon received via email (Just For You)
  • $0.25 Dawn (CVS app-only savings, all shoppers)
  • $2/2 Gold Emblem Abound Snack Items, exp. Varies CVS PHARMACY COUPON
  • $2.00 off Gillette or Venus Shave Cream CVS coupon (select shoppers)
  • $2 off $5 Household Paper, Food Storage, Party Supplies CVS coupon (Select shoppers)
  • $2.00 off Laundry and Fabric Care, CVS coupon (select shoppers)

REMEMBER: Extra Care Bucks have an expiration date so you want to be sure and use them before they expire.  I am already planning how to use the ECBs I earned on this shopping trip for my next shopping trip!

Be sure to share your favorite deals this week as well. Happy Savings!

the dawn in-app coupon says that its a manufacturer coupon (at least on my app it does). so how can you combine this with the other $0.25 off coupon? Thanks.

Sometimes the cashier will manually discount you the amount. Depends on your CVS I guess

    • Selma

It has to be the APP-ONLY coupon, not the one from the list of manufacturer coupons that some of us have on our app. The app-only coupon is with your other CRTs, the manufacturer one with the picture is separate.

I got a $2.50 /9 garnier coupon from cvs which I plan on buying 3 and using 3/$2.00 mfg cps and it will be a nice mm for me.

Sadly…have not been in CVS in a month…had been doing great , they no longer send me a percent off coupon ( well over a year !) and my App coupons each week are for things I have never purchased ..very frustrated..have been doing ok at RA..

Same here. I did well at CVS last year, largely on Colgate products. This year has been another story. I’ve received fewer coupons and those are for things I don’t buy. I stop in once a week to visit the coupon machine and that’s about the extent of my CVS visits.

I never received coupons from CVS not even when I shop there every day,I don’t know what website you ladies go to find this coupons, but sound great!!

These are coupons that are sent directly to the CVS app (which can then be printed when you scan your card at the coupon center in store). Sometimes they come via email. Do you use the CVS app at all?
