Broccoli Crowns 99c lb. Escarole 99c lb. Peaches 99c lb. Seedless Grapes $1.49 lb. And, Radishes 99c bunch. For those who would like a lower carb alternative to potatoes, Radishes are a great substitute!

    • Barbara

i will be swimming in Mac & Cheese my daughter is a new vegetarian and the girl likes her pasta. I have to get some protein in her somehow, shes not a fan of beans in general.

      • Rocky

Spinach, kale, broccoli, asparagus, mushrooms, artichokes and Brussels sprouts are the veggies higher in protein. Not exorbitant, in, and, of themselves, but, together in salads or stir fry, it adds up!

        • Barbara

She eats a lot of veggies. But not Peanut butter. Neither of my girls like PB. I’m like whose kids are these really. No tuna or PB. Gosh as a child that was lunch .

      • Bruce

Try peanut butter on granny smith apples. Its a healthy fat, plenty of protein, and the fiber in the apples keeps you feeling full.

      • Ash Patel

try tofu if your not a fan of the taste/texture of the firm tofu you can get the dessert tofu (it is really soft and can be used in baking) and mix that into a stir fry or right in the cheese sauce of mac and cheese. easy protein. You can even mix this tofu in with ricotta cheese (equal portions) and use it in a lasagna as long as you add herbs and salt no one can tell the difference.

        • Ang In CT

  • Stephanie

Little by little, week by week, are Shop Rite’s deals getting thinner and thinner? A few months ago, I could never listen to music and plan my deals at the same time. Lately I’ve been able to listen to “Crash Into Me” and “Crush”, while planning these pitiful deals. I heard it said a few years back that couponing is just a fad. I’m starting to believe it’s true.

    • Rocky

Couponing is not a fad, it’s been around for years and years! I have couponed for MANY (No, I won’t tell you how many, lol!!) years, though certainly not at the level that Cindy has taught us (And, I am forever in her debt, for it)! Everything in life changes, so does couponing. Years ago, no one thought there would be electronic coupons, or mobile coupons, or on the spot coupons where someone’s phone tells a manufacturer where they are, so a coupon can pop up on their phone for the store they just entered (umm, can you spell creepy?)!! But, along with those changes come ‘problems’ not originally thought of. So many of the coupon type sites are offering the same things that the manufacturers are getting slammed, so, things have to tighten up, somewhere. That somewhere is the deals. They lighten up, they change, they disappear, etc. Thankfully, we have this site to help us navigate those changes so we can roll with the punches and not just get knocked flat! But, with all that said, the real thing going on right now is simply the time of year! It always slows down, now, but, in a month, or so, things will start picking up for the fall and winter cooking season. The deals may be lighter, or, may be lesser, but, I, for one, will NEVER give up couponing!

      • Stephanie

Thank you for your reply, Rocky! I appreciate the time it took you to respond to me. “Sweet you rock, and sweet you roll…”

        • Rocky

You’re welcome, Stephanie! I appreciate the lyrics!

          • joan

Couponing is not a fad. I have done it since my son was very young and he is now 42. And i will continue to do so for hopefully many more years. It’s not easy to always find coupons. It seems to me that sometimes great coupon offers come in AFTER or BEFORE a great sale on an item. But me being me, I will continue to use coupons because they definitely save us money.

            • Pipperroo

Have you contacted companies for coupons? I call every 6 months for coupons that I need and I even have friends call to get coupons. Then I watch all the envelopes arrive in the mail. Lots of these have long expiration dates on them. I will never stop couponing since a have saved so much money.

              • joan

I contact some of the companies for coupons. I should stay on top of this more than I now do.

      • Pipperroo

I to have been couponing for many years, as far back to where there used to be triple coupons and we’d stock our pantries. My Mom used to work for what I didn’t know at that time was a coupon clipping service. We were able to get whatever coupons we needed. I now use my skills from those long ago days and this website to now help others to learn these skills and to donate large amount of food to my food panty, this would not be possible without couponing.

    • Ang In CT

I think that a lot depends on what your needs are for your family. I know for me this time of year is when I get as many boxes of cereal and snacks as I can because I have a preschooler and a 4th grader. We are also making changes to our eating habits and lifestyle so for us many of these deals are passes. I still remember cutting coupons when I was a child. We would get excited when there were no expiration dates. Now, with many of these the dates are very short. I have opted to sign up for as many rewards programs as possible but that’s a personal decision. I am one who sees couponing as a way to stretch my budget not save money. It’s hard when you have specific needs and can’t just substitute x for y. Trust me, I get that …

  • Ellen Lightfoot

those Borden coupons, you can only print one per browser, used firefox and explorer.

    • Peter Canine

      The coupons “DO NOT DOUBLE”

      • Ellen Lightfoot

the printed ones also? they do not say ND

  • joan

ShopRite Downtime started. They must have worked out all of the problems.

    • Nonof

Yay! I just did it and earned $3.15…It was very quick and easy…I added the $3 coupon just to see how it’s all work or in case any more issues…thank you for the heads up!

  • Sherry Z

    life has arrived on pc

    • Rocky

      On the old app, also.

  • Sherry Z

I am not thrilled about even one thing (

    • Rocky

Yeah, I checked a few things, and, maybe it’s me, but don’t see anything, either. Even the Sure deo isn’t a mm this time!!!

    • Laura D.

      Glad I went to sleep!!!

  • Sherry Z

This summer didn’t even bring 6 pints of blueberries for $6.99

    • Jenna

I was wondering about that sale the other day…..I thought maybe I had missed it.

    • Rocky

Didn’t we have that earlier in the year? Or, maybe not!

      • Sherry Z

Say it isn’t so???? Say I didn’t miss it?

        • mel18

You didn’t miss it- it didn’t happen. Have been buying and freezing the 6 pints for many years so I was on the alert for it.

          • Rocky

Wow, I can’t believe I was thinking about last year..,oh, my!!!

            • Jenna

Time flies, Rocky! I used to think of seasons in terms of weather…leaves changing, snow falling etc. but now it’s more like sale cycles! Blueberries…College Inn…Maxwell House!

              • Rocky

Oh, Jenna, that is so true!!! I just used a few packages of broth, yesterday, and was trying to figure out when the sales would start, again, lol!!! For coffee, there is a Regional Chock Full o’ Nuts ‘Any’ coupon out that is different from the K-cup version that was in my paper, today, so, I’m hoping for a CFoN sale, soon! Down to my last 4 cans, need to stock up, badly! And, lastly, just fyi, Aldis has completed their reno, so, they are open, again, should you need to know! I havent checked it out, yet, myself.

                • Jenna

Hi Rocky! Thanks so much for the info on Aldi’s. I actually drove past the other day and will be able to find it without a problem. I was on my way to an appointment in Denville so I could not stop but I’m really looking forward to checking out their produce. I’m hoping for a good coffee sale too. (If I were down to four cans, I’d likely have a panic attack!) Unfortunately, none of the NY or NJ papers had the 1.00/any coupon. So, I guess if a sale pops up I’ll look to purchase coupons online. Lets’ see…what season is next…College Inn!

                  • Rocky

                    Sounds like a plan!

          • anon

How do you freeze blueberries w/o them getting mushy when defrosted? tia

            • mel18

Lay the blueberries out in a single layer on a baking sheet & place in your freezer until frozen individually. Then place them in freezer bags & return to the freezer. They are not the same texture when used months later ( less juicy) but still a treat to have all winter long.

              • anon

Do you wash them first? tia

    • angela

that sale was usually in the first half of july. we always stocked up. blueberry prices didn’t even go low this summer – always $2 or $2.50 on sale, or $4 regular. don’t think there was any shortage.

  • Sherry Z

I was hoping for a sale on whipped cream…. I forgot to teach my dog how to eat it….

    • Rocky

I could use some cheap whipped cream! My mom’s latest snack is hunt’s snack pack gel with whipped cream on top, but, it can’t be cool whip, has to be the squirty kind!!!

      • Sherry Z

Cool whip – right… that’s not whipped cream!

        • Rocky

          Well, not according to mom…!!!

          • Sherry Z

She’s lucky! I wish I could see it that way!

  • Pat K

Re: the Chips Ahoy deal- the 8/13 Smart Source coupon is for 3 boxes, not 2 so that changes how much you save. Did anyone see a coupon for 2 boxes instead?

    • Sandy

Unfortunately that’s always been a regional coupon. I’m in central NJ and only get the “off 3” coupon.

      • Pat K

Thanks Sandy. I’m new at this and get frustrated when I can’t find the coupons or they are for a different amount/etc. I’m in north Jersey.

  • supersaver7

What happened when I click on a link it does not take me to a new page…I have to use the back arrow to get back to LRWC and keep losing site! What am I doing wrong??

    • Laura D.

      Here’s a way around it.
Right click on the link you want and choose open link in a new tab, then you can close out the link when you are done and have your original tab still available. HTH!

      • supersaver7

I knew you ladies would have a way around this…THANKS

New .65 downtime dollars video available this morning.

    • Sherry Z

      Mine have never reloaded?

      • Kari

There is just one video about downtime dollars. Maybe you already did it? Last looked on Thursday.

    • cam

Thanks, Kari, if you hadn’t mentioned it, I wouldn’t have tried. I just added the .65 to may account which made it $3.15. I added the $3 coupon but am wondering what is the benefit if any of not taking it and just waiting for the $6 or $12? There doesn’t appear to be any obvious benefit. Thanks

      • Kari

The only possible benefit I see is if you can only use one downtime dollars per transaction so it won’t use two $3 credits at once? Otherwise I don’t see why it would matter.

  • B

Is anyone having issues trying to print a list? The little boxes that you check off are not showing up on any of the store lists. I’ve been trying since Saturday, and I can’t print a list that I can’t “check” off. LRWC had issues last week, and those of us who subscribe to the daily E-mail, didin’t get it for almost 1 week. I really, really do wish if they are having issues AGAIN, that they mention it on their website. Maybe they can get rid of some of the advertisement boxes, and use that space to give us a heads up, so we don’t think it’s us going crazy! I hope someone answers this so I know if I should stop trying to do a list.

    • tim
