Each month Rite Aid offers a bunch of new Video Value Coupons for different products including health & beauty, grocery and more. These coupons are available to watch throughout the month however eventually they become no longer available to watch and save.
This week’s Extreme Couponing Tip is to watch these videos early each month! Once you watch the video the coupon is stored in your account and remains available to print into the following month. For example, this L’Oreal Nail Coupon from the May Video Values Offers (which became available at the end of April) does not expire until June 15th however it would not be available to watch past the end of May. Therefore, if you watch all the videos early in the month when they’re all still available, even if you’re not sure if you’ll use it or not, you’re better off in case a deal pops up on the item(s) you have video values coupons for!
Rite Aid Video Value Coupons are great to use at Rite Aid because they can be stacked with manufacturer’s coupons which maximizes our savings! Video Value Coupons can only be used once and are only available to watch and print once per account.
Even if you’re not an avid Rite Aid Shopper give Video Values a try one month and see how much you can save!

Exciting news! In addition to Target printable coupons and Target Mobile Coupons, we now have another way to save at Target! Cartwheel by Target is an engaging new choose-your-own-offer savings experience that will run through Facebook (although you do not need to be a Facebook member to join). Cartwheel is a first-of-its-kind program that gives shoppers a new way to save on hundreds of items throughout Target stores. There is nothing from what we can see that says you can not use your Target Coupons & Manufacturer coupons along with your Cartwheel offers.
Target officially launched Cartwheel this week with a select group of Target Red Card Holders testing its functionality. Target is launching Cartwheel in “beta,” which means it is still a work in progress and will continue to change and improve with feedback.
Cartwheel lets guests choose their own offers and also lets Facebook friends share offers with each other. You can access Cartwheel at cartwheel.target.com on your computer, tablet or mobile device.
You can read more about this new way to save here.

How To Get a Free Breast PumpSo my husband Mike and I are expecting our second child in October! We have a 15-month old daughter named Annabelle and although we were a bit “surprised” with this news of baby #2, we are very excited and thankful our family is growing! Here is a picture of our announcement
As many of you know, having a child can be very expensive. We are very thankful that at the tender age of 24 I stumbled upon this site! Living Rich With Coupons has changed our lives. We were still dating and I knew I had to find a way to save money. We had to save up to pay for our wedding on our own and I felt buried in college debt. This is when I started my journey as an Extreme Couponer and since then I can’t imagine life without coupons and being a resourceful, frugal shopper. We are on our way to being 100% debt free and Cindy and LRWC has so much to do with that!
Anyway, I’ve been hearing these rumors from pregnant friends about getting a FREE breast pump through their insurance companies. I told my pregnant sister about this, and after one simple phone call to her insurance, she has a fancy new Medela Electric Breast Pump headed her way! I got thinking, whoa, this is pretty cool, so I did some research and found out it’s true.
As of January 1, 2013, the provision of the Affordable Care Act that demanded insurance cover breast pumps, breastfeeding supplies, and lactation support has gone into effect. That means that all mothers can get these pricey machines covered by their insurance companies with no deductible, no out-of-pocket expense! This really made me excited because I am such an advocate of breastfeeding. I truly believe it’s what’s best for you and your baby, plus it’s FREE…except for the breast pump of course, however that’s why I’m happy to share this tip with you all.
When Annabelle was first born, I was so unhappy to cough up over $300 for my Medela Breast Pump. She came a month early and we didn’t have a pump yet, so Mike ran out to Babies R Us the day we got home from the hospital and made this big purchase on his own. The pump worked great and I never had problems with it, but that is a lot of money for a young couple to come up with in addition to all the other first-time baby expenses! Thanks to this new Act, most insurance companies are required to cover a pump in it’s entirety, or depending on your coverage, at least supply you with breastfeeding supplies. I called my insurance company, Aetna, and I’m happy to say I’m eligible for a completely FREE breast pump with no deductible, no co-pay and no out of pocket expenses! Woot! Here is some information directly off the Aetna site, that will vary from insurance company to insurance company, but should be pretty standard:
Aetna provided me with a list of vendors and brands of breast pumps covered under my plan. I will be receiving the Medela Advanced Personal Double Breast Pump, which comes with double pumping kit, original 2-Phase Expression, A.C.power cord, power accessory battery pack, convenient shoulder bag with integrated cooler bag with ice packs, breast milk containers and shields, instructions and warranties. This pump is selling at Babies R Us for $349.99!
So, if you’re a mother to be or know someone expecting, PLEASE share this tip with them or give your insurance a call. The worst that can happen is you find out you’re not covered, but more likely than not you’ll receive something. And please, if you’re on the fence about breastfeeding…give it a shot! It’s the best “challenge” I ever overcame, because it was hard in the beginning, however once I stuck with it and didn’t give up, it became pure joy and ease and such a neat bonding experience with my little girl. It saved us a TON of money too!
How many of you have looked into receiving a FREE breast pump?

One of my absolute favorite things about being an “Extreme Couponer” is being able to help others! This week’s Extreme Couponing Tip is on “Paying it Forward” with your knowledge of using coupons and saving money. How many of you have seen someone buying a product that you have a coupon for and decided you wanted to share the wealth with them and said, “Excuse me, I have a coupon you can have for that, which the store will double, saving you ___ of money!” I’ve done this many times and it is always so rewarding seeing the person’s reaction to your generosity. To them, it is so generous, but to us as couponers, it is just a coupon we know we can get more of or a deal we know we’ll come across again. The appreciation on the stranger’s face when you share a coupon or money saving tip is much more worth the coupon you gave up or the few minutes you spent giving them some tips on how to save money.
Everyone wants to save money– no matter how rich or poor. If you offer a coupon to the person behind you who happens to be very wealthy buying expensive products, even that person I doubt would turn down an automatic savings handed right to them! I love to do this at places where you can reuse a coupon. At Kohls for example, if I have a coupon that I know I won’t use anymore, I love handing it to the person behind me, politely asking them if they’d like this coupon I’m not using anymore. I’ve never had anyone respond in a rude manner — everyone has always been so appreciative. I then say, pass it to the person behind you when you’re done
This happened recently at the Children’s Place as well. I had a coupon for 25% off my entire purchase and at the bottom of the coupon it said save 15% for a friend too. I asked the cashier if I could give it to the woman behind me and she said sure! What a great feeling knowing you “paid it forward,” and helped someone save money just because you knew how and wanted to share the wealth.
Another way to help others and “Pay It Forward” is to share where you have learned your couponing skills from. When you go to share a coupon with someone or share a money saving tip, tell them about Living Rich With Coupons! Some of you guys have told me how you have written down the LRWC web address for strangers in line behind you who admired your coupon skills and I think that is awesome! We love to hear that. You might be the beginning of someone’s life changing as they can potentially save thousands of dollars a year using coupons once they give it a try.
So I’d like to give you guys a challenge to “Pay It Forward” sometime soon. I’m completely confident you won’t regret it
Now it’s your turn…have you ever paid it forward with coupons and tips on deals?

This week’s Extreme Couponing Tip is on preparing and planning your shopping trips a week early–if and when possible. I know this seems like a long shot, as most of you are probably thinking “I struggle getting my shopping trips organized for THIS week, how am I going to plan for next week?” This might take some practice, however if you’re able to start even a small amount of planning a week in advance, I promise this will help keep your couponing experience less stressful, more efficient and ultimately you will be able to take advantage of more deals at better prices if you’re just prepared!
Here at LRWC we give you the edge up– we offer preview ads and deal ideas to many of the stores we do matchups for. These previews are offered several days before the start of the sale. This gives you time to prepare a list of the items you know you need as well as a list of the items you know you want to stock up on based on the sale and coupons that are or will be available. Even if you simply put a coupon aside in a special bin on your desk or folder and set it aside for next week, this will save you tons of time the following week. There is nothing worse then knowing you printed a coupon and cannot find it. Or actually there is something worse…finding the coupon AFTER the sale is over! Yep, I’ve been there. If you know the item will be on sale next week or in the next few weeks, simply put it aside to save yourself time and effort when you want to use it.
I use stackable trays and labeled them with the stores that I frequent. When I print or clip a coupon that I know I will be using at one of those stores soon, I just throw it in the bin. When it’s time to really sit down and prepare my shopping trip, more then half of my coupons are already there waiting for me. No more finding coupons after the sale is over and lots of less time and effort each week since I try and prepare ahead. This technique has definitely helped me make extreme couponing even easier.
Now it’s your turn…do you prepare your shopping trips in advance?

This week’s Extreme Couponing Tip is on printing coupons for new products! Very often we see coupons pop up for new products. Sometimes when the coupons become available we don’t always see an awesome deal immediately with the new coupon, however I suggest you go ahead and print the coupon or clip it from your inserts anyway because it is very likely that the product will go on sale soon.
When a new product becomes available, it is very likely we will see that product on sale at many stores as a way to promote the new product. As couponers, we know that we save the most money when we use coupons paired with a sale. Therefore, an easy and routine rule of thumb to try and stick to is to hold onto those coupons for new products, whether they’re printable or insert coupons. I know you guys may only print coupons you think you’re going to use, however printing certain coupons right away for an item you think will go on sale is a good habit, since we can’t always guarantee the coupon will still be available once the item is on sale.
A great example of a new product that had a great coupon was the General Mill’s Peanut Butter Toast Crunch Cereal. We saw many $0.75/1 coupons for this cereal (great to use at stores that fully double), plus we saw some higher value coupons like that $1.25/1 coupon that was available at one point. We saw many, many sale prices on this cereal. I scored some for FREE at ShopRite and Acme plus there was a great deal at Target recently, just to name a few!
If you’re worried that printing these coupons will cause some added clutter on your desk or unwanted disorganization, try creating a folder labeled for “New Product Coupons.” This might help you keep track of these coupons and serves as a way to prevent these more “valuable” coupons from getting lost in what might be your massive pile of printable and insert coupons. Because these are coupons we believe we will probably definitely use in the upcoming weeks, putting them aside in a folder helps to keep tabs on them while preventing the stress of trying to find them once the sale pops up!
What do you guys do when you see a coupon for a new product?

I know printing PDF Coupons can be tricky so this week’s Extreme Couponing Tip is on how to print and handle PDF Coupons. We here at Living Rich With Coupons would never want you to intentionally misuse a coupon, which constitutes fraud and is illegal, so we’re here to help you understands how to use PDF Coupons.
Yes, most PDF Coupons are completely legitimate if issued by the manufacturer directly from their official website, Facebook page, e-mail newsletter, etc. Not all manufacturer’s have invested in coupon software and technology to produce their coupons. This special software limits the amount of prints for a coupon, however you will come across some coupons that lack this limitation. Before printing and using a PDF Coupon, just try your best to assure the coupon is from a reliable source as there are many fraudulent coupons lingering on the Internet.
You will notice that from time to time with a PDF Coupon that there is no “print limit” on how many times you can print the coupon. Although there is nothing preventing you from printing dozens of coupons, we do not suggest you do this. The manufacturer probably would not reimburse the store for a massive amount of the same coupon, which as a result would constitute stealing, which in turn causes local stores to be more strict in their coupon policies. We believe a safe and ethical rule of thumb when printing PDF Coupons is to follow the same “2 print limit” rule placed on most other coupons.
Every store has their own coupon policy in regards to PDF coupons. Some stores make it very clear that they will not accept PDF coupons or any coupon that does not have the authentic watermark that most coupons from Coupons.com have. This, in their opinion, is the way they can determine if a coupon is legitimate. Before using PDF printable coupons, just be aware these type of coupons are likely to give you more trouble at the checkout line. It can’t hurt to bring your PDF Coupons to customer service for them to verify before you begin shopping to save you a headache while checking out. Another tip on printing PDF Coupons, if at all possible, print these coupons in color ink, which might help them appear to have a less fraudulent look to them.
We hope this answers some of your questions on printing and using PDF Coupons. If you have anymore questions we did not address, feel free to leave your questions in the comments section

Do you ever pick up products that you don’t necessarily like or need but still “bought” it because it was free? Have you asked yourself if you should “buy” it even though you don’t like it or think you won’t use it. This is where I challenge you to think outside of the box. Consider other uses for the product. Maybe you can use it in a recipe.
This happened recently for me with the Planters Nutrition Peanut Butter at Dollar Tree. I have tried the Cinnamon Raisin flavor of the Planter’s Nutrition Peanut Butter but it wasn’t until I picked it up for $0.25 at Dollar Tree with that great $0.75 off one PLANTERS NUT-rition Peanut Butter coupon (NLA) that I tried the banana flavor (the only flavor they seem to sell at Dollar Tree) and honestly I’m not a fan of it straight from the jar. I’m trying to find new ways to make use of this product. I’ve been using it on top of my bananas and it’s not bad that way but I also think I’m going to try using it to make cookies! Don’t these Peanut Butter Cookies with Planter’s Nutrition Peanut Butter look great? I’m sure the banana flavor with work well in these cookies and I will have a solution to my dilemma with not liking a cheap product I got with coupons!

If you’re interested in making these cookies like me, head on over to LittleBittyBakes for the recipe!
Another example of this “dilemma” is the Free Diet Pepsi we picked up recently with that great $0.50/1 Diet Pepsi Coupon (NLA). We don’t drink Diet Pepsi in this house, however I’d use it for something like the Chocolate Diet Pepsi Cupcakes Recipe we posted last week!
So, when you are trying to make a decision to buy some free or super cheap products, remember, think outside the box. Maybe you can make a new dessert or a fun new dinner for the family. Of course, I always recommend donating products to food banks but this is just another way to make use of free products you may not use or like.
Have you come up with a creative way to use a product your family does not really like?

How to Find the Best Prices on Groceries – It’s been 1 month since we launched the new Grocery Price Comparison Tool. And, to celebrate we have already implemented our first upgrade. Yep, based on your comments, we have already made it available to select your stores.
In the example above, you can see we’ve searched MiO and it allows us to select the stores we would like to shop at. Here is how to use the store select feature:
If you haven’t used the Grocery Price Comparison Tool yet, you need to give it a try. It’s a great tool for the serious, and even casual coupon shopper, who is wondering how to find the best prices on groceries. If you need to buy an ingredient for a recipe you’d like to make or maybe a great new coupon came out and you’d love to know exactly where to use it, the Grocery Price Comparison Search Tool is at your service to find you the best deal at your store.
Right now we have 29 stores in the database including Target, Publix, ShopRite, Safeway, CVS, Rite Aid and much more. And, we even have previews for the drug stores so you can find out deals ahead of time.
To make it easier to find the GPC, there is a quick link available at the top of the site (next to Bogo the dog). You can also bookmark the page or you can even download the LRWC Toolbar which has a quick link built right into it.
So head on over and give it a test drive. Search for something you have a coupon for or are looking for a deal on. Running low on paper towels? Search “Paper Towels” and see which store has the best deal this week or even next week. Here at LRWC we make it easy for you to save!

**Tip to choose multiple stores: First click a store you want. Then hold down the Control Key (Command for Mac users) and click on the additional stores. To choose a group of stores or all the stores, click the first store you want, then hold down the shift key and click the last store. All the stores between the two clicks are selected.
Last month we launched a brand new feature here at LRWC — the Grocery Price Comparison Tool. I am personally loving this new tool and hope you guys will make use of it as just another easy way to save on your groceries, health and beauty products and much more! When I’m in need of something specific–for example I was just running low on sponges–I simply pull up the Grocery Price Comparison Tool, type in “sponges” and find the best price on sponges this week at stores in my area! The Grocery Price Comparison Tool will even list what coupons (if any) are available for the product and where you can find the coupon.
You can use the Grocery Price Comparison Tool while planning your shopping trips as well. If you are using the weekly matchups from your favorite store and compiling your list there but realize you need an item for a recipe that’s not on sale or in the matchups at your favorite store, simply open another tab, pull up the Grocery Price Comparison Tool and see where else you might be able to pick up the product you need at a good price. Plus, we even have previews in there so you can get a heads up on any deals coming up for the product you are searching for.
For me personally, this tool has never made saving money more easy!

Just a tip, because we are still refining the search, use broad terms. For example, search Kraft instead of Kraft Cheese.
