I knew that I finally made an impact when my daughter, Megan, who is a college student in Pittsburgh, called me this morning to let me know that she has FINALLY purchased the newspaper and now has her first set of inserts. I have been telling her to buy 1 paper a weekend but she has never done it. I think the turning point was when I had her and her boyfriend watch the video that Giant Eagle was promoting where they added $15 to your Giant Eagle card just for watching the video. Each time she went to the store she walked out with groceries and paid pennies for them using the money from the video. Thinking that was so cool, she finally decided that getting coupon inserts every weekend would ACTUALLY save some money. Go figure.
