Don’t forget Dollar General now takes Internet Coupons.

Is anyone able to score their local newspaper at Dollar General for a discount?  There is one by me but if you can I can get my local newspaper at a discount there I may work it into my Sunday shopping.

Let us know if you found any other great deals!

  • I totally never thought about Dollar General in my couponing! Thanks.

    • Cindy

@mamak, I never did either until they started taking IP coupons. Now, I like them 🙂

  • I get my local (upstate NY) papers at Dollar Tree. I’ve never seen them at Dollar General.

Do you know their policy on Overage or marking down a Q?
I have several of the TGIF snack Qs from awhile back and Walgreens won’t take the coupon cause it is over the value. I don’t need the overage (though I’ll gladly take it 😉 ), but I won’t bother trying if they won’t at least take them and mark them down. Any information is greatly appreciated and thanks, as always, for all your great sales tips!

@noelle, I actually don’t know but I did find their coupon policy. I’m adding it to the post. It does not state anything about overage or adjusting coupons down. So, I guess it doesn’t answer your question but it’s a step in the right direction. We’ll have to do a little more searching on that one.

  • Thanks! If I give it a go, I’ll post the outcome!

I just got back from my local Dollar General. I tried using the Suave coupon but it didn’t work. Even the manager wasn’t able to make it work. =(

My Dollar General had probs with the suave coupon at first but then she checked the cpn and the size and said it was ok. I had to go to another Dollar General because they only had 3 suave left at the first store. The 2nd store had no problem at all with the cpn…went right in the 1st time she scanned it. I don’t know about them adjusting coupons either. Would be nice to know. I don’t like going to Walgreens with cpns because they never stick to what they say from 1 visit to the next when it comes to using cpns there. I am so glad Dollar General takes ip cpns now.

  • i buy my Sunday Star Ledger at the Dollar Tree – since it’s only $1, it’s half price!

  • I was so excited I went today. LOL
They did not price adjust the one q that was a little over, but took it without batting an eyelash. Even the sales girl was impressed at my total. (Don’t you love when that happens?)
