    • Ueen

I am leaving work now to do the 11 boxes cake mix, that is a big OYNO. 410? Lol JK. I understand it’s a typo.

      • Cindy

lol, I do that all the time. Hit the $ key but don’t hit the shift key. I’m gonna fix it for her. Wouldn’t that be sweet..a 410 catalina 🙂

        • Thank You Cindy! I just get so excited about free food that I can’t wait to tell anyone who will listen. Here’s 3 more ideas (The Final Price is after using a $10 cat from a previous order)

        • Ueen

          Me too.

Yes, yes, a 410 catalina? I would take a week off from work just to go to ACME after ACME after ACME after ACME if that’s the case. 🙂

I sure will go to ACME this afternoon. Thanks guys for this heads up.

          • Laurie M.

11 boxes of cake mix did not print out the cat for me. 🙁 Did it work for you? Just curious. I attempted to roll a cat for this purchase and it did not generate a new cat…

  • Lori

I just sent you information on this deal before seeing this post. I did this deal with Hebrew National hot dogs alone.

    4 Hebrew national hot dogs ($6.49) $2.99
    Final price with cat: $1.96

    And this deal is rolling!

  • kathy

Is this limit one per customer? One per transaction?

    • Lori

I did 4 separate transactions and just kept rolling the $10 cat.

  • Emmie

awww… these are good deals. I wish I had an acme by me. 🙁

  • Pamela K

I have never shopped at ACME before. But after reading this, I cant resist. Wow!!! This is unbelievable. I am soooo excited. Can you tell???

  • Melissa

I was thinking of rolling a cat for (5) 6pk soda bottles and (1) soup for a $3.38 OOP + new $10 cat

    • That will work…and it’s a great deal…but you may want to buy:
2 Sodas and 6 soups for an (after cat) oop of $0.28
do that 3 times…if you want a bunch of sodas
and only you’ll only pay $0.84 for 6 (instead of $3.38 for 5)

the only problem is the stores are running out of soup. if that’s the case you may want to do the math with boxes of sausage instead. Have fun!

  • Anonymous

I did 4 separate transactions today. only 1 transaction didn’t printed out coupon(15 chef boyardee).

    • The chef buyardee is on Knock Down for $0.88…so buying 15 gives you a total of $13.20…not enough to get the cat. You would need to buy 29 of them.

  • D

Question – If you are rolling some of these and using the Catalina to pay – do you have to add something else into your order? ie – if I’m buying the 10 soups the second time around? thanks!

    • Cindy

Yes, you’ll have to add something to get your order up to $10 so you can use the $10 catalina.

      • D

        Thought so – thanks

  • Laurie M.

Okay, I did not have luck with this. I bought the 11 boxes of brownies first and got the cat. Bought 11 boxes of cake mix next, paid with the $10 cat and no new cat printed out. Returned the cake mixes 🙁 They were sold out of soup in my store and I wasted so much time on the returns that I didn’t even try the hot dogs. The lady at customer service told me they were onto this – that technically you aren’t allowed to roll catalinas because they are considered manufacturer coupons and the fine print says total must be $25 after all manufacturer coupons. So bummed! I thought about trying another ACME, though. LOL! Everyone else seems to be having luck with it!

    • Lori

I made the mistake of buying 11 boxes of cake mix yesterday. The shelf price at my Acme was only 2.19, so the total was 24.09. So close too the 25.00 mark. 🙁 Could that have been your problem?

      • Cindy

Oh bummer. Which I find funny that we are complaining that the price at your Acme is lower 🙂 Usually you want lower prices but not when it comes to these catalinas.

      • Laurie M.

Hmm, I guess it’s possible. I might try another ACME later today. I have the $10 oyno to try to roll…

  • Ruth

I did the deals as described here, it all worked out great. The catalinas rolled, you have to be careful when choosing the cake mixes because some of them aren’t included in the deal. Also always check if the catalina machine is working too. What I do is watch the registers and see if the catalina machine is actually printing advertisements or catalinas. Sometimes the light may be on but there is no paper and when they put paper in, all the catalinas come out but the customer doesn’t get them.

  • Maggie

I went on the way home from work and did 2 transactions: 1st was 2 packs of Hebrew National Hot Dogs and 5 cans of HC soup. I also had to buy milk for my kids and paid about $16. Got a $10 cat and then bought 9 boxes of the sausage. That came to only $9 so I bought 3 small bags of of M&M’s. I used the $10 cat and ended up paying $.50! I may go again on the way to work tomorrow to get brownie mix.

  • Carla D.

No luck for me 🙁 I bought 9 Healthy Choice soups & 1 Hunts Ketchup and no catalina printed…. customer service told me they couldn’t give me a catalina because I didn’t spend $25. Don’t know what I did wrong, maybe I will try again tomorrow

    • That should have worked…call catalina 1-888-8coupon!

  • carla a

Not a bad night at ACME tonight… Did the (11) brownie/cake mix deal first, rolled catalina to get (3) Wesson oil and 5 cans of HC soup , then rolled that catalina to get (10)Chef Boyardee (DH loves these), (2) hunts snack packs, and (1) Hunts sauce. Total OOP was less than $15. Yay!

  • kathy

I did it five times, but chose not to roll because I was in a hurry and didn’t want to have the manager get involved. I will easily use the $50 catalinas in the next 2 weeks. Worked great. All products we use. For about $20 (after catalinas), I got:
    6 Wesson oil
    3 Smuckers
    4 Hebrew Nationals
    4 Cake Mix
    4 Brownie
    4 Ketchup
    4 Popcorn
    3 Jif
    4 Sausage
    2 Frosting
    2 Pancake mix

  • Lori

Hey guys, any suggestions in rolling the cats. Is it better to go through self check out or the regular line with this deal?
Thanks for all the incredible help Cindy & everyone else gives every day.

  • Colleen

The manager at my Acme would not allow me to do multiple transactions – he said they wouldn’t be able to give me the coupon when it printed out for my second transaction. I went to a different Acme and had no problems at all! Are the stores allowed to NOT give you a catalina coupon when it prints out??

    • Cindy

Never heard of them not allowing you to get a catalina when it prints. That’s crazy. Now, if it doesn’t print and you based it on shelf prices, it’s usually hard to convince CS that you deserve it. But, that’s when we just call catalina marketing and they see usually see it, But, taking it away when it prints? That’s crazy!

      • Colleen

I know! I contacted Acme by email and received a reply only that they were sorry for my inconvenience and my comments would be sent to the store director. I believe they had an issue with me doing two transactions in order to get two coupons, but there was nothing stating a limit of one transaction per customer. The cashier and manager said they would not give me the coupon for the second transaction so I left the entire order and walked out of the store. Grrrrrr……..

  • Maggie

I went on the way to work this morning, can you tell I LOVE saving money. I tried going thru the self serve but at my Acme, only an employee at Acme can scan coupons.

  • Melissa

I just got back from Acme and my cats wouldn’t roll. I did one transaction and used my 1st cat for the second when nothing printed. They told me it wouldn’t print because its the same manufacturer. So I just did the rest my transactions as normal and spent about $30 and still have $20 in cats to spend, still not bad…just wish I didnt have to put all that money OOP

    • Laurie M.

Same happened to me! Maybe I’ll try to call as well… can’t hurt.

  • Melissa

I am gonna call Catalina about the transaction that didnt print and see if they send me a $10 cat anyway…they are usually so good about it!

  • Lori

Just wanted to give some kudos to my ACME! The manager saw me in the baking aisle and asked me if I was trying to “do the deal.” When I answered yes he actually told me to look at the shelf prices because that is how it works! He also told me not to scan my shopper card first, just to ring up my order and stop when it hit $25. Then get my $10 cat and start again, so he recommened rolling.
I did this earlier in the week with hot dogs but went back to do it 2 more times with other stuff. I saved my cats and then used the $20 to stock up on other items I needed that rarely go on sale.

    • This is an amazing story! What acme do you shop at?

      • Lori

The one in Voorhees on Haddonfield Berlin Road. Although I have to admit i only go there for the great deals, otherwise I think their prices are way high! But it definitely was a positive experience this time and their shelves were pretty well stocked too.

        • Kathy

Lori did you go today. I went to the one in Runnemede last night and the deal did not work. They told me and another lady that it was not on shelf price and they fixed the system so we had to spend 25.00 on sale prices.

          • Lori

I just went this morning at 9am and everything worked on shelf price. And I did a mix of brownies, cake mix, frosting, popcorn, pudding…all on shelf price, with no coupons. I was shocked when the manager told me to calculate it that way. I knew that, but I didn’t think they did. He even saw me as I was checking out and asked me if everything worked out well!

In the end I spent a little less than $25 oop, got the 2 $10 cats and then used them to stock up on other things.

            • Kathy

Thank you Lori I am going to try now.

  • Lori

    Good luck!

    • Kathy

Lori just got back and the deal did work. Thanks again for your help

  • mary ellen

i thought you guys were crazy, and i was a little embarrased, but it worked, i got my hotdogs and cakemixes that will be great for the holidays. I did just what you said and it was great!!!! do you think it will work again next week with the specials and also does it work that way with shoprite????

    • Cindy

Most of the catalina deals do work on shelf prices. They will lower the prices on products that they do no want to work on the current shelf price so you have to watch for that. They are called knock down prices and they usually lower the price to the current sale price. So, sometimes you need to wait until the sale starts to see what prices they have lowered and what prices they haven’t.

  • Holy moly! It takes a lot to get me to go to Acme (it’s not nearly as close as ShopRite for me), but I went tonight for this one. And WOW! Of the 5 transactions I did, I had one cat not print but I definitely hit $25 based on shelf prices so I’ll have to contact Catalina Mkting on that one. Assuming I get it, I will have scored …
    11 Pillsbury cake mixes
    7 Pillsbury brownie mixes
1 Crunch & Munch (couldn’t find that Q in my All You)
    3 Swiss Miss cocoas
    2 Brown ‘N’ Serves
    13 Healthy Choice soups
    1 Sara Lee poundcake
    1 Reddi Whip
    1 loose bagel (filler)
    3 Chef Boyardee raviolis
    9 Snack Packs
    5 boxes of Cheez-Its

All for about $13 after Qs and cats!!! This is perfect timing b/c our MOMS Club is doing a canned food drive so I’ll be able to donate without it costing me a dime. If I had more time or if the sale wasn’t over tonight, I’d be back for more. INCREDIBLE! My husband just shook his head. LOL

    • Oh and the standby cashier at the end of the self checkout aisles gave my daughter a free toy while we were there waiting for my Mom to go through all her deals. (she said they were getting ready to mark it down for some flea market) I felt like telling her they were already giving me plenty!! LOL 😉

    • Jenn…This sale is over, but another one is just starting.
Get back in the car…it’s going to be another busy week at Acme!
I have the shelf prices listed on my blog.

  • Jenn

Is this catalina still going on today (Friday?) Hope I didn’t miss out!

    • Cindy

No it ended yesterday. But, there is another one this week for General Mills. I am still working out the details of it so you will see it soon.
