Reader Sarah shared her big shopping trip. She piggy backs a bunch of stores that are not close by her house into one trip. Here is what she said:
I really enjoy seeing everyone’s trips and thought it was about time I share my own. I drive 30-40 minutes to the nearest Rite Aid, so when I go to that area I always stop at several stores to make it worth the trip. I don’t go every week because I can get plenty of deals closer to home, but this week I wanted the Renpure. I also wanted to do the Bayer deal (I wanted the One-A-Day women’s vitamins), but even stopping at three Rite Aid stores I couldn’t find enough in stock. And no Nivea lotion, either. Oh well! I think I made out OK regardless.
So after all was said and done I bought about $145 worth of merchandise at retail price and paid about $30 and I still have $7 in Up+ Rewards. Even accounting for the gallon or two of gas I used (I drive a Civic, so it’s really efficient) I am still very happy. And my husband was pleased with the Swedish Fish and the Velveeta. 🙂
