NJ Happenings This Weekend: Hot Chocolate Hike, Holiday Lights Spectacular, and the Polar Express in IMAX

For New Jersey Residents:  Here are some free and/or inexpensive family activities for this weekend.

  • Saturday, 1/1: Hot Chocolate Hike at the Environmental Center in Roseland.  From 10:15-11:45am or 12:15-1:45pm hike around the Environmental Center,  sip hot cocoa, and enjoy a winter campfire. Fee: $6 Child, $8 Adult. Click here to find out more.
  • Saturday & Sunday, 1/1 – 1/2: Holiday Light Spectacular at the Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange.  From 5-9pm come out to see over 100,00 lights illuminate the zoo for the last time this season.  This event is free. Click here to find out more.
  • Saturday, 1/1: The Polar Express: An IMAX Experience at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City. Tickets are $8.50 for children and $11.25 for adults.  Click here to get more information.
