Reader Shopping Trip: Target and ShopRite

Cassie made trips to Target and ShopRite. She did some shopping for herself and also for her local food bank.

I scored some great deals today. Many of my coupons came from different sources- just goes to show you never know where you’ll find them! I know this isn’t a “real food” shopping trip (unless we eat nothing but cereal this week!), but I have produce & meat from last week & the organic milk we usually buy had an expiration date only 2 days away. So I will have to go to ShopRite again this week, but that’s okay, because they were all out of the free French’s mustard today.

Target Bought:
Market Pantry bread $0.89

I am adding the shampoo, drink powder & baby food to our donation box, which you can see partially in the picture- it’s in the back, with the word “apple” on it. I also have in there cans of powdered formula that were all free and some free rice from a few weeks ago. After I pick up the mustard, I’ll put it in the box & bring it to the food bank.

Great job Cassie!

Also, I will be putting up a post shortly on all the Food Banks & Shelters that you guys posted a while back.  This way it will be easier to find out where you can donate in your area.  If you have a Food Bank or shelter that you donate to, and didn’t post before, please feel free to do so here so that I can add them to the post I’m putting together,
