Weekly Menu Plan

The last couple of weeks have been a little crazy around here.  And I have not had a weekly menu planned out.  The first week it caused us to order take out more times than I had planned (hate when I do that).  Last week wasn’t so bad as I cooked up my Free ShopRite turkey so we were eating the leftovers from that.  But, I knew I had to buckle down this week and plan out my menu.

    Fun! Sounds Delicious!
    This week will be…
    Sunday- Bottom Round Roast (on sale at SR), turnips and roasted garlic mashed red skin potatoes (farmers mkt), and green beans (can-can sale!)
    Monday- Quiche (bacon, eggs, and pie crusts from Aldi, rest from FM or SR)
    Tuesday- Wanachi dinner (on sale at SR last week)
    Wednesday- Turkey tenderloin (from Aldi, 2lbs for $5!!), salad, veg and rolls
    Thursday- All You recipe for shredded beef tacos
    Friday- Pizza!
    All in all, spent about $30 for the two of us to eat dinner this week and one night with the kids.

    smothered grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, veggie or salad
    Pizza Pasta Toss
    Buffalo wings, teriyaki wings, pizza fries (nutritious, I know ;o)

    where do you get the best value on salmon?

      I have been buying it at Aldi.

    Wow, the slammin salmon sounds incredible! Do you buy the frozen salmon at Aldi or does yours have fresh?

    Because I’m tired of playing with the FAFSA…

    Mon – Acorn Squash, Grilled Porterhouse/Watercress, and Potato Squashers
    Tues – Butternut Squash soup with crabmeat and zante currants, pan-fried cornbread
    Wed – Salmon Croquettes/Rice, Roasted veges
    Thurs – Turkey Manwiches with Chayote squash and carrot/zante currant salad
    Fri – Leftovers

    I’ve never tried the potato squashers, but look forward to them. They’re in the oven now. 🙂

        Yes, Ma’am. I have 2 in college and the last one is going in the fall.

          Oh yes, I know your pain. I am starting my 9th and 10th FAFSA this year. I hate them. They make me cranky. LOL
