  • Awesome! Well Done!

  • Carolyn

Wish there was a Pathmark closer to me! This is wonderful and glad it all worked out!!

  • Laurie M.

Way to go! First thing I thought when I saw the picture was, “How did she get TWO of the Viva towels?” That was such a great deal and I was sad it was Limit 1. lol!

    • Melinda

haha-yeah. i didn’t know there was a limit of 1. i was happy to put the other one back and the lady was like no get them both i’ll just take $6.00 off for you. sweet! 🙂

  • Bridget

WOW, I have a Pathmark very close to me ( its so big, Im afraid to shop in there, lol), I may have to give it a try this week. Does pathmark fully double coupons? I didn’t know you can go through self check with coupons? 🙂

    • Melinda

yes, they full double. some people have reported they will only double 2 of the same coupon, however. when i went through self checkout the lady monitoring did not stop all my coupons (i had dozens) from doubling…the computer doesn’t stop it in self checkout. it will ask you at the end if you have any coupons & then you scan them and put them in a slot when you’re done.

  • Jen

They fully double up to 2 dollars? What state are you in?

    • Melinda

New Jersey…not sure what they double up to. I just know my .75 coupons doubled to $1.50 no problem at the self checkout. I’m not a usual Pathmark shopper..this was basically my 1st time there so not super familiar with their policies.

    • Lori

My store in PA only doubles up to $1.00. So a .75 q will take off $1.00, not $1.50.

  • rachael

Hey! This is a fantastic trip!!!!! I read they are still having the sale through the 10th? Is that true? Also, do you know if they double up t o$2 in nj?

    • Melinda

yes, the sale is good through the 10th as far as i know. See above comment about doubling.

  • Pamela

I just signed up for the zavers & I don’t see the $1 off 2 Chex coupon!
Was it something that was available before but not now? Maybe I’m not seeing it for some reason! I want to do the cereal cat deal this week… HELP!

    Thank you,

    • Lori

Same here. Maybe it is location specific??? I was trying to figure out how to change my zipcode that you enter when you sign up for Zavers, but I couldn’t figure that out.

      • Melinda

When i signed up i used zip code 07712. I’m in New Jersey. Not sure if it’s gone. Just a warning…it didn’t work on all my transactions…not sure why…there might be a limit or something.

        • Lori

          Thanks so much Melinda!

        • Pamela

I changed my zip to 07712 & the Chex coupons still weren’t available.
As far as not working on all transactions, I read under FAQs that the coupons can be limited (it depends on how the manufacturers set it up).
So, how many times did the $1.00/2 Chex coupon work for you?
          TIA 🙂

          • Melinda

hmm..i just logged into my account and it doesn’t show up as saved anymore…i don’t see it at all. so it could have expired. i see others ones that are saved to my card have an expiration date. i’m sorry it didn’t work for you! still a good deal without it. i’m pretty sure it worked twice. it stopped on my 3rd transaction.

            • Pamela

OK, that would make sense that the coupon wouldn’t show up after you used it twice. According the the FAQs , once it’s used (how ever many times the manuf. allows) it no longer appears in your account.
Ohh, I’m still going to do the deal, it just would have made it sweeter! But that’s OK, cause I’ve learned when it comes to couponing, you win some… you lose some….
BUT there’s always another sweet deal around the corner!
😉 Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it!

  • sheena

All of the coupons I have for the cereal say do not double…will they still double at the self check out or did you have different coupons?

    • Anonymous

They will still double at self check out or at register. Cashier would have to manually stop doubling.

  • Kris

Wow, way to go! I haven’t been to a Pathmark since October, but as far as I know, Pathmark will only double a coupon up to $0.99. For example, I loved using those $0.85 (doubled to $1.70) Viva paper towel coupons last year! If you use the SCO, all of your coupons that are $0.99 and less should double. I once used 19 $.50 Mentos coupons and got all 19 gums for free.

  • Anna

I went to Pathmark in Clifton, NJ and the cashier did not double the Chex coupons. But still I end up paying only over $4 for 8 cereals. As of today my car trunk if full of cereal (I didn’t have time yet to bring them in the house) and I have $48 dollars in catalinas. Too bad the expiration date is 2/24.

  • Nancy Murray

I signed up for a Pathmark card on line and got a tempory one. My husband went to Pathmark last night which is 10 miles away and was dissapointed. When we looked at the savings above it looked great. But after getting there, he realized that you had to spend $30 on a certain group of food to get the $8 catalina. So I’m not sure how you were able to get the catalinas in transactions 1 through 3 without spending $30. There is something that we are missing and not understanding. Could you please explain so we can also get the savings. Thanks for your time. Nancy

    • Melinda

Hi Nancy–this is a valid question that many people don’t understand at 1st, so please don’t feel discouraged. Many times when stores offer these deals, and say spend $30 or whatever the amount to get a Catalina, it works on SHELF price and not the sale price. So, in the 1st 3 transactions, if you add up the shelf price of the items, it’s over $30. The shelf price is the price of the item when it’s not on sale. You’ll see that price on the shelf above the sale price. So, for transaction #1, the shelf price for 1 box of chex is $4.59 at my store ($4.59 times 4 boxes= $18.36) and the shelf price for 1 box of golden grahams is $4.19…($4.19 times 4 boxes=$16.76). Add these together and I’ve spent $35.12 in shelf prices on these General Mills products, which allows me to get the $8 Catalina. Hope this helps you…don’t hesitate to ask more questions 🙂
