Plumrose – Got Coupons?

Most companies have coupons that they send out to loyal customers.  So, take a moment and contact a new company to see if you can score some great coupons, possibly even for free products.

Here are a few suggestions when contacting the companies:

  • Try to stay positive.  Complementing them on a new product or how much you or your family enjoy it.  If you have a complaint, try to say what you have to say in a positive way.
  • You can offer suggestions on how they might improve their products.  Maybe offer flavor suggestions, etc.
  • And be sure to include your contact info when you write to them including your address.

Just curious readers….out of the 14 companies noted, how many have sent coupons? I know I tried a few companies (not on the list) and got some positive response (but not all).

Hi Liz, Tyson sent 5 $1.00 coupons, Barber Foods replied and noted that coupons are on the way, a thank you from Mott’s, (but nothing else yet), no reply from Johanna Farms, but you never know. I’m happy with any reply, it all takes time and money for these companies, I just hope by keeping their marketing depts. busy, people are kept employed!

Wondering what you are saying in your emails? Are you directly asking for coupons? I emailed coffee mate and only received a thank you for my suggestion. I suggested making some of there sugar free products in other flavors and the smaller size.

When I emailed Motts it was my first time trying it and I did not ask for them. I got a thank you but nothing else yet. Since that one I compliment their product and ask if any coupons are available. I got 4 from Dole.
I got shot down from Campbell’s and Kraft- they both sent emails saying no to coupons because they are available in the paper etc.

I have problems with companies that say no because their coupons are in the papers. Gatorade recently told me that, now I have a tough time buying their products. It made me a little angry that they did not back their product and go out of their way for their customers. I will forever support a company like El Monterey, I told them how much I loved their Tornados and I was sent about 10 different coupons, with a very nice letter and email. I have a ton of respect for a company that will back their product and help out their customers. I know I shouldnt expect anything from any company. But at the same time, I do have a choice of what I will buy, so Ill take a company that went out of their way for me over a company that says “look in the sunday papers.”

Out of the 30 different companies I wrote to only 1 said they could not send a coupon. but that was a local bakery. All the national companies sent nice ones. I just looked around my home and the products I like I started emailing! Good way to save LOL

Thanks for your recent post about Colgate.
Below is the email they sent me saying they are sending me a package of coupons.

    From: Colgate-Palmolive Consumer Affairs
    Subject: Response to Your Email

    Dear Mrs. De George:

Thank you for contacting us regarding one of our recent promotions. We are pleased to have this opportunity to respond.

Difficulty in accessing and printing coupons and promotional offer forms can usually be traced to one or more of the following causes:
    – incompatibility of computer systems
    – lack of specific hardware or software necessary
    – failure to load paper, align, or activate the printer
    – network security settings in many workplaces do not allow these
    types of functions

In order to control financial liability, it is also necessary to limit the number of attempts to print coupons and forms. To successfully access offers in the future, we encourage you to check for all of these factors before attempting to print.

We are sending you a complimentary coupon package; therefore the response has been sent via regular (postal) mail and should reach you within 7-10 business days.

If you do not receive this response through regular mail, or have any questions about this, please contact us again by email, or by calling us at 1-800-468-6502, and provide the number appearing after my name below.

If we can be of further help, please feel free to contact us again.
