Scott Catalina Deal
I wanted to, once again, update you guys on the Scott Catalina Deal. The deal is for the Buy 2 Get $2 or Buy 3 Get $3 from 2 or 3 differen Scott Categories. The categories are:
- Scott Bath Tissue
- Scott Paper Towels
- Scott Wipes
There are a few things I want to tell you about this deal.
Stores Participating:

What is Working Well:
Next, I want to point out what is working well for this deal. The single roll of bath tissue with the Scott wipes or wipes refill are working fine for most people.
What is Not Working:
Now, the problem is that the deal at ShopRite with Scott Tube Free Bath Tissue is not producing the catalina. Some of you have called Catalina Marketing and have been told that it is not included. So, I reached out to my contact there and had many emails back and forth for the last 2 days. Below was the final result of the many emails. BTW, they were extremely nice and patient with me as I peppered him with questions. So, even though it was not the answer I wanted to hear, their customer service was once again outstanding.
…we do get these promotions from the manufacturer and they let us know what they want to include for these programs and then we put them out. So yes, essentially, this is something we would not be able to change or address. If they didn’t include it, there isn’t much we can do. I understand you just want to be able to clarify that and as a consumer myself I know I would appreciate that. I would suggest to let them know that this item is currently not included with that specific offer, but has its own offer.
To sum this up, there is a Catalina Promotion for the 12 pack of Scott Tissue that is going on as well. Its Buy 2 of the 12 Pack and get a $2 Catalina. So, I assume, that Kimberly Clark decided that since this product was part of one catalina that they were not going to include it in the other. Since they did not supply Catalina Marketing with that product UPC code as being included in the offer, there is nothing Catalina Marketing can do.
What Can We do?
So, what do we do? Since the original Scott Catalina simply states that you must buy a product from one of the 3 categories: Bath Tissues, Paper Towels or Wipes, the 12 pack of Tube Free Bath Tissue fits into those requirements. My suggestion is to print out the Scott Catalina Deal. (I put it into a PDF document so you can easily print it). You can either go to customer service at ShopRite (with the printout) to get your catalina or contact Kimberly Clark to let them know that this catalina deal is not working as stated in the ad.
My reponse on all of this is that if Kimberly Clark would have stated on the original catalina that it excluded the 12 pack of Bath Tissue instead of just eliminating it, we would have known that from the beginning and done our deals according to the description on the catalina.
