Do these scenario’s assume 2 computers in the house? A lot of them seem to say to print out more of the printables then it will allow. Just trying to figure this out. Thanks!!

I did the Edy’s Ice cream deal at Acme this morning at 9:30am and it worked off shelf price. I bought two ice creams at 2/$6 and used a $1/2 MQ and got a $4 catalina. I rolled that into the GM deal.

The GM deal stacked for me as I did 20 items and got 2x$5 catalina’s for my next purchase.

    • Tess

What’s the shelf price on the 48oz ice cream?

      • kristin

The shelf price was $6.29 each so it was over $12. I don’t know why it didn’t work for other people. I just got 2 containers because we didn’t need a lot more ice cream.

        Here is a better deal:

        20 Hamburger Helpers =$20
use 5 x $0.80/4 HH coupons and get 2x$5 cats PLUS 2x$2 GM cats = $2MM. I don’t know why the $2 cats are printing but it prints for every 10 HH items you buy. I did the deal in rounds of 20 boxes because my coupons matched up evenly with 20 boxes, but you could do just 10 boxes and get one $5 cat and one $2 cat. The $2 cat is just for $2 off your next order (just like the $5 cat). I don’t know how long the $2 cat will be printing though.

    • What Acme did you go to?!
I did the same exact thing at my store (shelf price was $6.29 for Edys) and no cat. Did you buy any other Nestle brand products? Maybe you bought something that isn’t shown in the ad, but it still working for the catalina? It would be great to find some “hidden” items working for this.

I had trouble with the supervisor on this one…she insisted that the buy2 get1 applied to 3 items…and that i could only use 3 of the $1…i told her no get the manager i know your coupon policy…we had a staredown, she was pissed lol…he came over and was nice but confused…he said AH just give it to her…her ears were steaming…why does she care? its not her money the store gets reimbursed…i was sweet as pie to all, and the nice cashier finished the transaction, and the crabby one went outside and smoked…shakes for all her in Sea Isle YAAAAAAAAAAAY!

hey how can you use B2G1 on top of the $1/1 for the smoothies. their policy allows this? I have been trying to figure this out and thought the best I can do was use either 3 B2G1 (for 9 items) or combination of some of the B2G1 and the 4 $1/1 I have. Using the extra 6 $1/1 on top of the 3 B2G1 doesn’t make sense to me. Isn’t that for a total of 15 products? Please help. I rarely go to Acme but I was trying to figure it out to use it at Stop and Shop and just can’t get my math (even considering the price difference) like your suggested scenario. It’s the number of coupons that’s baffling me. Thank much.

    • This is a hard thing to explain, but I’m going to give it a try!

The B2G1 is saving you money one 1 item (the free one). It doesn’t take any money off of the other two items…even though you are required to buy them. Think of it as this coupon only “attaches itself” to 1 item (not 3)

So you now have 2 other items that don’t have a coupon attached to them. This allows you to use 2 of the $1/1…one coupon for each.

Did this make any sense at all?!

  • Be

Thanks, Diane. Now you put it that way, it does make sense and seems obvious. Duh. So another way to look at it is like, buy 2 and get 50% off the total for 2. Got it, Got it. Phew. Thank you. Thank you. You guys are amazing

  • Be

oh, I remember now, I had tried that a few months ago at Target. they would let me. Does this interpretation work at all stores? or just Acme? Thanks.

    • Most stores…depends on their individual coupon policy.
      Glad to help.

  • Anna

I had a problem with the Edy’s catalina at the Folcroft Acme. I bought 3 coconut and 1 orange cream fruit bars. $12 sale price before coupons. Their great customer service gave me $4 cash back. Don’t know why it wouldn’t print.

  • Lori

Question regarding what you posted above…

Note: Acme’s Catalinas are no longer working on shelf prices. You must Spend $12 based on sale price to get the $4 catalina.

Is this just for the Edy’s catalina or ALL Acme catalina’s from now on? Sorry, if this issue has already been covered.

    • Cindy

Apparently, from what I am hearing, Acme is switching over their registers and the new registers will work on sale price for everything. Some stores may not have changed over yet and those stores will still work on shelf price but it’s hard to know which stores that is.

      • Lori

Thanks Cindy, for clearing that up. It stinks though. Using the shelf price for catalinas was a great thing. Sad to see that change happen. Thanks for everything you do.
