My Shopping Trip – ShopRite

Last night, my couponing side kick (hubby) and I ran into ShopRite to pick up a few items that I wanted to get with some coupons I had.  You’ll actually see that I paid more money for a few of the items then I would have last week.  But, as I mentioned earlier in the week, I was not really doing any shopping for about 4 weeks.  So, I missed some sales.  No worries, as I still got some great deals.

I do want to stress that you can pass up on sales and still save a ton of money with coupons.  You do not need to run out and grab every deal.  There will be more…promise!  So, if you want to kick back and take a break, well then, close up that coupon book, put your scissors away and go look at your stockpile.  I’m willing to bet there is plenty there to allow you to miss the next sale on shampoo or toothpaste.

And, since I’m back in the shopping mode again, I feel refreshed and ready to go.  And here is what we scored at ShopRite last night.

WOW! I’m excited to find those coupon books! I love Vitalicious muffin tops and can never find coupons for them. Thanks, Cindy!!!!!!!!

Very impressive. I’m curious if you need to purchase coupons or if you have more luck than I do with getting good value ones in your local papers. Only 1 paper I bought from 9/18 (I usually only buy 2 each week unless it’s a big coupon week) had the Barilla coupon, and it was a $1/2, not the 55 cent one. I do on occasion buy specific coupons that are for items I really want–good yogurts, cheese, or whole grain or whole wheat pasta, for example. I take the money I spend on those out of my grocery budget. I was wondering how you handle that. Thanks for sharing your shopping trips. I find them both educational and inspiring. 🙂

Most of the coupons from this trip I got from Coupons by Dede.

My skintimate printed coupon says that it excludes the 2.75 oz. Did you have an insert one?

    • Cindy

The first one that was available earlier in the week did not have a size restriction. They reset the coupon a couple of days ago and put a size restriction on it. The one I used was the first one. I’m saving the other one for the sale that starts tomorrow. They will be $1.99, so $0.49 each after coupon.
