My fiance was the only one working in our house and his company closed in May. He luckily found a job in September which he hates, but, it’s money. I unfortunately have not worked this entire year because I cannot find a job! Anyway, so, because of your site and others we made it though the ultimate rough patch. Thank you for all you do!!!!

what i am greatful for…hmm..ya know when I start to think about it…the list is really long. My fiance and I have been in a pretty rough spot for the past 7 years but thankfully we’ve had each other to fall back on. Along our travels we’ve been overly thankful for his mother and my grandmother. If not for them, we wouldn’t have a home…we’d literally be on the street. Most recently I’ve been very grateful for my sobriety. We were opiate/heroin addicts for 5 of those 7 years. I wake up everyday being thankful for my ability to stay sober and stay on track. I guess summed up those are the main things that I know where Id be without them…and its terrifying. Thankfully though…we’ve been able to accept these wonderful gifts.
Oh course I am grateful for good friends and family, but the Grateful of the Year (GOTY) award has to be Smart Source and Red Plum. We have been in a financial “situation” the last two years and in 2010 decided to become a real couponer. I do think it has helped us get by for 2011. 2012 is looking much brighter and I think I have couponing to thank.

I am grateful that my son is still with us. This time last year he had an infection behind his eye that could have been deadly. After an emergency surgery, 2 weeks in the hospital, many months of seeing an ENT doctor at least once a week, months of antibiotics, and a second surgery in April, he is much better. I never realized how dangerous allergies and sinus infections can be. I thank God every day that he is doing well and that he is still with us. By the way, he is a huge Subway fan, so this card would be for him.

I’m grateful for many things this year : I’m greatful for the last three years I spent with my dad we became very close He died just a year and half ago of Cancer and so I spent as much time as I could with him and I’m so thankful for his wisdom . I’m also thankful that my mom did not have thyroid cancer as they thought just a tumor which they removed last summer. And beside my family to which I know we are all thankful for I’m thankful to God for hearing my prayers when they found a lump in the end of OCT and many mamograms ultrasounds and biopsy and two of the worst weeks of waiting to hear if it was or was not cancer and I’m greatful to say I’m Cancer free. So now I’m greatful for each day its changed my life my attitude and respect for those who have lived in died with this terrible disease. And its not just to when this contest but to share in the awareness of Cancer and how we should all be greatful for every breath we take. R.I.P Dad I love you and I miss you

And, for all of the readers on this site who help each other out with links, scans (thanks, Melissa, you save me at least $10 each week!), deals, unadvertised specials and tips. So many times, that one link, or heads-up about an item I did not know was on sale, has helped so much!
And, also, to the manufacturers and stores for their coupons and sales that allow us to get items that would normally be out of reach, during our difficult times. I realize this is all part of their marketing plan, but, really, those who issue .75 coupons as opposed to, say, .25 coupons (or no coupons) have earned my respect and I will continue to support them even after our difficulties improve!!!
With God’s help, 2012 will bring us light at the end of this infernal tunnel…

I am thankful for being able to help my mom through the worst time of her life. See last October 23rd, 2010 she lost her husband (my step dad) to a freak accident. He fell off a ladder to his death at his work. This was right before the holidays too. Needless to say our holidays weren’t very merry that year! But I have been able to help her through this past year by coming around more and doing things for her without her asking and just because I want to. I have went to counseling with her and have helped her with a memorial for our loved one lost. I have taken her on a few vacations to get her out and most of all I just wanted to be a better and loving daughter and to show her how much I love her! I hope no one has to go through this ever but if you do just keep faith and be there for those who need u most! Merry Christmas to everyone! <3 :0)

I’m most grateful for my two sons and having them in my life. This year has been a very trying year – with 2 job losses (one company went bankrupt and the other had a crook in the family) . I wasn’t sure how I was going to make it – especially since we moved to my hometown. Thought the job was going to be a good move. To make matters worse, my sons’ dad was put in jail because he chose not to pay child support. Yes – I’m a single mom who is totally supporting my children. They are THE only thing that is important to me – nothing else matters. Subway is my older son’s favorite place – he fell in love with the BLT hoagies and had to have one almost every day last summer.
