Sunkist “Take A Stand” Lemonade Stands!

Want to have a fun summer activity for your kids and give back to the community at the same time?  The award-winning Sunkist Take A Stand® campaign is back this summer with an exciting twist!  Starting now, Sunkist Growers is encouraging families across the country to host a fresh lemonade sale to raise money for a charity close to their hearts.

Since 2004, the Sunkist Take a Stand program has motivated more than 65,000 kids from the U.S. and Canada to sign up to “take a stand” for charity. Open to ages 7-12, the campaign has raised an estimated $3 million dollars for charity over the past nine years!

You can download free online tools to prepare for a lemonade sale, such as such as posters, recipes, and pricing tracker at Take a Stand with Sunkist. And because sometimes it’s just more fun to have an “official” lemonade stand for selling, Sunkist is releasing new, limited edition 2012 stands that will spark creativity and help kids personalize their charitable giving efforts. The stands are one-piece, easy to assemble and comes with a festive lemonade-themed sticker sheet. Kids can add extra drawings and messages that highlight their personal cause and ultimately create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

According to Giving USA, an annual report on American philanthropy, for the second year in a row, charitable giving barely grew, rising by just 0.9 percent in 2011. In an effort to boost interest in fundraising for good causes, Sunkist will give away ten lemonade stands a week from July 18, 2012 through August 28, 2012.  Fans can enter to win by visiting Sunkist’s Facebook page and submitting the charity they would like to support.

Right here on Living Rich With Coupons, we will be giving away (3) three of these special lemonade stands.  Three winners will receive their own stand as well as a starter kit featuring delicious recipes for fresh-squeezed lemonade and a $15 gift card for supplies!  So be sure to enter below, have fun and good luck!!

My boys (age 7 and 9) love doing lemonade stands. They have donated the money from previous stands to local charities like the Buffalo Zoo and Buffalo City Mission. They just did a lemonade stand last weekend when I had my garage sale. Our family had decided that all money from the garage sale and lemonade stand would go toward a family vacation (we’ve never really had one). They baked cookies and brownies with their grandmother to sell with their lemonade. They made $45.00. It was great! Now they want to do another to raise money for another one of their charities.
