Fall Nail Colors 2012

By Megan Livesey

Nail Polish is one of those fun accessories that is cheap, easy to change, fun and can definitely make a fashion statement!  I love how nail polish trends change with the season and are usually different each year! This fall is all about the Dark & Stormy colors and really about showing your personality through your nail polish!

Got a favorite color?  Let us know what you love to paint on your nails!

Deep Blue

Dark & Stormy colors are extremely popular this fall. One of those colors is a deep blue! Personlly I love the rich look of this color and I think it is an awesome change from the bright neons we have been wearing lately!

Essie- Aruba Blue
Sally Hansen – Midnight in NY

Oxblood

Oxblood is such a strange term to describe a nail color – but I have to say I love the color! This deep brownish red is a huge color this fall – especially in nail polish! I guess with the recent love of Vampires, this name suits the trend 🙂

Sonia Kashuk- All Vamped Up
Orly- Smolder

Jewel Toned

Jewel Toned nail polish is another popular trend this fall. All those vibrant Jewel Colors are what you should be on the look out for! I personally love the Emerald Look

L’Oreal- Rainy Piccadilly
OPI – Glow

Camo Green

Camo Green is really in this season. So why not put it on your nails! This color color goes along with the dark and stormy trend too.

China Glaze – Elephant Walk
Zoya-Evvie

Nude/light pink Nail Polish

Nude Nail Polish is a great alternative to the dark and stormy colors if you aren’t a fan of those! These are very light colors that can be a light pink or even closer to white! This is a classic colors scheme that I feel like is always in style!

Essie – Don’t Sweater It
China Glaze- Nude

Metallics

If you are a fan of having your nails really stand out then this trend is for you! Metalics is very in this fall and I love the entire Essie Mirror Metallics Collection! They include: No Place Like Chrome, Good as Gold, Blue Rhapsody, Penny talk, and Nothing Else Metals!

Essie – Blue Rhapsody
Essie – Nothing Else Metals
