Can the mentioned items also be mailed to these locations, or is that just for drop off? I am willing to mail small boxes of stuff.

  • Lauren

Thank you so much for doing this Cindy. We have lost our house and many of our belongings in the storm and it is so overwhelming. My kids are devastated to have lost their things and the only thing that is keeping us going is the kindness other people are showing each other. I am praying we will all pick up the pieces somehow.

  • NJ Coupon Mama

Thanks to Cindi, Megan, Melinda & all the rest of the LRWC crew. I was able to go through my stockpile and donate over 8 re-usable shopping bags stuffed with: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razors, shave cream, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, feminine care products, diapers, wipes, baby care items, deodorant, toilet paper, etc. etc. to my local shelters in burlington county.

What a great feeling to be able to help out those in need, just by opening the doors to my closets! You guys rock!!

    Any locations in Trenton/Princeton/Lawrenceville, NJ?

  • Barbara A

We live at the Jersey shore. We live by the river and while the water surrounded our house and ended up in the lowest level of our home we are ok. (No power still and my car had some water in it.) We also own a condo over on the beach in Ortley and that was a different story. My son lives in it for the winter. Of course we evacuated him and did our best to prepare for the storm. After the storm no car traffic was allowed over the bridge so my son went by boat with some friends. (This is no longer allowed) He landed by the A & P and said that streets were unrecognizable. Gas was hissing every where. They made their way a long the beach to our Waldorf condo and the following is what they saw.. I just thought that anyone who is familiar with the area or who has property might want to see it.

    • Barbara A

strange I don’t what “carca” at the end is? I am using a friend’s internet and very, very distracted.

    • Chris R

      Hi Barbara,
My parents own unit #9 in the ortley house, it is the colonial to the right in picture 24 in your link. Do you know if your son may have any more pictures? We are hoping to get there soon, but there are many conflicting stories on when they will let anyone in.

      Thank you.

I heard on the news that the food banks have been hit hard with people coming to get items after the storm. Besides food, I know the Center for Food Action (CFA) in Mahwah, NJ takes personal care items and I’m sure other food banks do as well.
