    is there a limit?

  • Chrissa

I have had rite aid cashiers tell me I couldn’t use a coupon because it was more than the price of the product and they could not price check it down so I would get it free… Is this true? I know they can price check stuff down at Walgreens! This deal sounds like this could happen because if the lotion is 5.99 and you use a 5.00 rite aid coupon and a 2$ mc…. That would be 1.01 more in coupons than product…… Any suggestions?? I guess I could call rite aid corporate and ask their policy? The assistant manager was the one who told me I couldn’t use a coupon for over the amount of the product…. Has anyone had any experiences with this at rite aid?? Thanks!

same question as Chrissa – what does the cashier need to do to get the register to accept both coupons, and any suggestions on how to convince the cashier they can and should do that?

  • Samantha D.

I actually had the same experience, the cashier told me that I could not use both coupons because of the overage, so I ended up paying the $.99+ tax to get the lotion. Although, my mother used her coupon earlier at the same store but different cashier and they accepted both coupons but she did have additonal merchandise and the overage just rolled down to other items which would have been the case with me.
